미술관에서 평면전시와 입체전시에 따른 관람행태의 변화;부산시립미술관을 중심으로 (The Variation of Visitor' Behavior in relation to the Planar Exhibition and the Three Dimensional Exhibition in Art Museum;focused on Busan Museum of Modern Art)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate how visitors' behavior change in relation to the pattern of exhibition in art museum. For the purpose Busan Museum of Modern Art was selected as the sample in this study. And two patterns of exhibition, namely the planar exhibition and the three dimensional exhibition, were surveyed using the tracking movement method. The data gathered from random-sampling 60 visitors in a art museum was analyzed by the correlation analysis and T-test. The results are as follows; 1) There is no meaningful difference in visitors' behavior by the exhibition pattern in terms of their viewing area, viewing time, viewing distance, viewing velocity, viewing rate. 2) In contrast, there is meaningful difference in terms of the number of stops by visitors and the time spent without movement to see the objects; visitors stopped more often and stayed longer within the three dimensional exhibition space than the planar exhibition in a art museum. In sum, visitors extrinsically show no big behavioral difference between the planar exhibition and the three dimensional exhibition, but much difference in the way they communicate with objects; they show more active behavior within the three dimensional exhibition space.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of exhibition circulation which is caused by behavioral factors of visitor's movement and spatial factors in museums. It looks into the factors under the influence with the visitor's movement. The consideration of exhibition circulation may be classified into 2 categories. one is spatial factors which can make a exhibition circulation according to the extent of exhibition space display density position of exit display style and display secenario. and another is the behavioral factors of visitor's movement according to the time speed proportion of appreciation and visiting rate. The method of analysis is statistics of investigation by following after visitors. Through this data we found out that there are correlation with two categories. Therefore each factor that makes an exhibition circulation with organic relevancy have influence on the visitor's movement directly. So appropriate to the planning of each factor can offer visitors to more effective environment of exhibition.

디지털미디어 전시환경에서의 어포던스디자인 요소별 선호에 관한 연구 (A Study on Preference according to Affordance Design Elements in Digital Media Exhibition Environment)

  • Recently, as human-centered design and humanization of space accelerates, the concept of physical space is changing to user-centered space. In particular, in the case of exhibition space to utilize digital media, visitors' actively experiencing exhibits and participating exhibition are regarded as an important factor, thus affordance design serves as a crucial factor to afford satisfaction with exhibition space to the visitors. Accordingly, the study is to understand the concept of the affordance and the digital media exhibition environment and to analyze the preference for each affordance design factor in the digital exhibition environment. The survey is conducted to people in the twenties who inhabit Seoul and the metropolitan area, familiar with the digital media. The results of the survey show that the most important role of the digital media in the exhibition environment is to create the atmosphere for concentration and complexity is the most preferable among interactivity, network ability and complexity, the feature of the digital media. Additionally, the results reveal that cognitive affordance presenting the feature of design to help the user when he/she want to know something is the most preferable among sensory affordance, physical affordance, cognitive affordance and functional affordance and as the time exposed to the digital media increases the importance of the affordance design is high. As the digital environment is common now in many fields, it will be regarded as a crucial factor to the visitors of an exhibit hall from now on whether affordance design is used.

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the correlational factors of space sections based on the fact the exhibition space plays an important role as a medium of displaying art works. And an another purpose is to investigate the characteristics of various types of exhibition unite space from which In intend to suggest basic sources of exhibition design. I classified domestic and foreign museum which are chosen as objects of study according to form and shape of a section plan. Then comparing exhibition space's form and scale exhibited genre lighting system layout composition display and its correlation with an already established thesis on museum architecture I will infer the characteristics of each type of a space. From these studies proper display conditions requested at the museum are different from the genre and property of the exhibited objects. And lighting system display angel of view and appreciation type affect the exhibition area. The shape of space classifies types of section which cause space's characteristics.

  • Placing itself in position of spectators, museum should be able to explain to them what meaning the medium of exhibi-tion has and what role it has to paly. For that, it is an indispensable process to plan an archite-ctural environment and exhibition presentation suitable to the exhibition which are main objects of museum, but as a result of its being reglected by this time, it has been recog-nized as a tigid and formal place closed and estranged from the general public. The authoritarian aspect of museum resulted from its sys-tem negative to the people of our country, while its services have been developed as a place in which one understand a country most quicky. Recently, however, as a movement of participating in the newly changing general trend, the contest of design of the new National Museum was announced publicaly worldwide introducing the Museografia method of planning exhibition presentation after thorough analysis of exhibition, which made it known that an importance is intensely put on the en-vironment of relics and their exhibition. The purpose of the study is to analogize the planning prin-ciple of the interior design of the exhibition room of sculp-tures, placing emphasis on the exhibition presentation intro-ducing Museografia as a way of examining the problems and solving them concerning the existing standardized uni-form method of displaying exhibition. 시게루 반 전시공간의 생태적 특성과 변화 연구 (A Study on the Ecological Characteristics and Changes of the Shigeru Ban Exhibition Space)

  • 본 연구는 2000년 이후 시게루 반이 설계한 대표적인 임시전시관 3곳과 상설전시관 3곳을 대상으로 반의 전시공간의 생태적 특성과 디자인 특성에 대한 변화를 고찰하였다. 생태건축에 관한 개념 및 특성, 전시공간의 디자인 특성 등에 대한 문헌고찰을 통해 전시공간의 디자인 특성과 생태건축의 디자인요소에 대한 분석틀을 도출하였다. 연구 결과 건축규모, 공간구성, 기능, 재료 및 기술 측면에서 임시전시관과 상설전시관 사이에 큰 변화가 있다. 시게루 반의 임시전시관은 재활용 가능한 재료로 종이튜브, 컨테이너 등을 현장에서 전시 위주의 단층 공간으로 조립해 조립방법이 단순하고 공기가 짧아 전시회가 끝난 후 전시관이 철거되어 그 재료가 다음 전시장으로 옮겨지거나 재활용됐다. 한편 상설전시관은 철근콘크리트를 주체로 하고 목재와 유리재료를 다량으로 사용해 전시공간과 휴게공간을 분리시킨 다층 복합문화공간을 조성했다. 또한 시게루 반의 전시관을 영구건축으로서 친환경적인 재료와 혁신적인 구조기술, 기후설계 개념을 적용하는 등 지속가능한 건축을 실현하고 있다. 생태적 특성 측면에서 임시전시관은 건축자재를 모두 재활용할 수 있어 철거 후 산업폐기물이 발생하지 않았다. 상설전시관은 지붕, 벽면 등에 친환경 목재를 사용해 교체와 보수가 용이하며 두 가지 유형의 전시관은 모두 자연채광과 환기를 통해 자원과 에너지를 절약을 등 생태적 건축을 보다 지속가능한 방향으로 변화시켜 가고 있다.

  • 새로운 제품의 홍보는 전시디자인의 중요한 목적중 하나이다. 대부분의 전통적인 전시기법은 아날로그 매체로 구현되어 왔으며 일방형구조로 실현된다. 그러나 시대상을 반영하고 첨단제품 등을 홍보하기 위해서는 디지털기술을 이용한 새로운 전시기법의 개발이 필요하다. 이 글은 카메라 센서기술과 비디오 입출력 기법을 활용한 디지털미디어분야와 전시디자인에 결합 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 관람자와 전시물간의 상호작용은 홍보하고자하는 주제 및 제품에 대해 관람자로 하여금 보다 적극적인 참여를 유도할 수 있으며 이를 통해 효과적으로 전시목표를 달성할 수 있다. 비디오 입출력을 활용한 다양한 디스플레이 기법은 직간접적인 제품의 소개와 더불어 재미의 속성을 관람자에게 전달하게 된다. 관람자는 물리적인 경험과 학습의 효과를 전시를 통해 경험할 수 있으며 해당 기업이나 제품에 대해 긍정적인 이미지를 얻게 된다. 비디오 입출력을 이용한 작가의 사례와 이를 활용한 전시디자인의 예시를 분류하여 유형별 가능성을 살펴보았다. 뉴미디어 작가와 전시디자인의 결합은 상호결함을 보완할 수 있으며 아이디어와 기술의 결합 그리고 현실화의 문제를 해결할 수 있을 것이다.

박물관자료의 보존을 위한 전시공간 환경계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Environment Planning of Exhibition Space for Conservation of Collection in a Museum)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the design guidelines of exhibition space for conservation of collection in a museum. With the purpose of this study, examined the concept and a condition of conservation which is focused on deterioration in a exhibition space, investigated the actual condition of total 42 facilities and analyzed the specific instance which is excellent by factor of environment plan. Hereupon, the results of this study are as follows. First, exhibition space should be equipped with sufficient 'Filtering Space' before the outdoor and located central territory in a museum facility. Second, exhibition space should be partition off an area into the quality of collection, and then controlled by each of them. Third, in consideration of the annual air fluctuation of our country, the database which is adaptable for setting up the standard of temperature and RH must be prepared. Fourth, it is necessary to establish a 'Reference Exhibition Room' which is formed cellular type and a 'Garnering Exhibition Center'. Fifth, for the prevention of deterioration which is generated in exhibition space, the showcase must be high air-tight. Sixth, it is necessary to reduce a inside space of high air-tight showcase. Seventh, art-sorb is suitable for control the organic matter of collection and a except of fiber optics is not suitable for lighting of showcase. Eighth, wall-type showcase should be have air-chamber which is formed like museum storage and run over 8 hours a day.

사물인터넷을 활용한 효율적인 공간체험 영상콘텐츠 전시 디자인에 대한 연구 (A Study on Visual Contents Exhibition Design as Efficient Spatial Experience Utilizing Internet of Things)

  • 최근 전시 공간은 공간에 대한 직간접적인 체험을 할 수 있는 영상콘텐츠 공급자와 관람자가 몰입감을 줄 수 있는 형태로 나타나고 있으며, 제한된 공간 안에서 보다 확장된 공간을 관람자에게 제공하여 물리적인 한계를 넘어서는 가상현실까지 확대되고 있으며, 전시 디자인에서 시각적인 요소뿐만 아니라 사람과 콘텐츠 그리고 사물 사이에서 발생하는 정보서비스의 수행이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전시 디자인의 시대적 환경변화인 사물인터넷을 활용한 전시기법의 변화와 발전방향을 모색해 보고, 영상콘텐츠의 디자인 전시에서 사물인터넷을 통한 공간의 체험하는 관람자의 스마트폰의 상호통신을 통한 정보의 축척과 사용하는 행위 속에서 영상매체(영상전시물)의 사용자 인지에 따른 다양한 형태의 변화를 살펴보고, 일반적인 전시와 사물인터넷을 통한 전시디자인 사이의 관계를 사례분석을 통한 시각과 감정의 변화에 대한 관람자의 영상콘텐츠 학습에 대한 몰입과 현장감을 확인 할 수 전시디자인을 제안한다.

  • In terms of cultural history, museum architecture represents culture of society in an era. exhibition space which represents the society and culture can't be fixed in the same way in a current mobile era. Especially, mobility of exhibition can be able to give audience even opportunities to enjoy. As a result, mobile exhibition space that functions as total space for everybody and the study of this issue is necessary. As mobile exhibition space is in the middle of development, there are many things to make up for the weak points. In order to make mobile exhibition space more competitive, development of new form and material is needed most. besides, limited development on interior plans which has been overlooked in terms of mobility is needed. Also, there should be more aggressive and powerful marketing and promotion for mobile exhibition space. To equalize the metropolitan area and local exhibition space and revitalize domestic exhibition space, the utility of mobile exhibition space which is movable and economic is highly expected more than previous fixed exhibition space.
