Curatorial Practice Study of Traditional House Building Components Exhibition in Longwan District, Wenzhou in China

  • This paper examines the traditional house building components through Wenzhou Longwan district traditional residential architectural components exhibition. We found that the exhibition of architectural components of residential buildings has its own characteristics, and the collection, cleaning and organization of the components require a lot of manpower and material resources. This exhibition is based on social hotspots, and the exhibition was curated with flexible use of exhibition halls and content arrangement, allowing the audience to enter into "immersive" nostalgic memories through the experience of being present. In the wave of urban construction and development, the preservation of traditional residential buildings and their components is to inherit the local architectural culture and show the local natural and humanistic spirit.

전시배치방식 유형과 관람행동 상관성 분석 - 국립중앙과학관 상설전시관을 중심으로 - (An Analysis on the Relationship Between Exhibition Arrangement Types and Viewing Behaviors - Focusing on the Permanent Exhibition Halls at the National Science Museum -)

  • Founded on a close relationship between exhibition scenarios and media, this study was conducted 1) to establish exhibition arrangement types by using three analytical indicators, such as arrangement types of exhibition, groupings of similar exhibition media, and exhibition density; and 2) to demonstrate the importance of considering the characteristics of exhibition arrangement types by using viewing behavior codes as a major analytical indicator. The following three types were investigated in this research: First, the Independent type (Type C) was found to be strongly influenced by architectural and spatial forms, especially by low exhibition density and high visual information. Also, compared with the Wall Dominant type, low number of viewing behavior codes and distribution was found even though there were high correlations among viewing behavior codes. This is assumed to be due to low exhibition density. Second, the Wall Dominant type (Type A) was found to be not influenced by architectural and spatial forms. This is because space is planned and restructured centering on the wall type showcases. At the planning stage of exhibition, it is easy to divide or combine space according to the contents and structure of exhibition scenarios. Compared with the Independent type, low correlations were found among viewing behavior codes. This is due to low participation or manipulation exhibitions. However, this implies that more active viewing behaviors can be induced if appropriate exhibition techniques and arrangement methods are used for each exhibition content. Third, the Independent Dominant type (Type B) was found to confuse visitors in selecting routes by displaying too many exhibits at a limited space in a disorderly fashion. It failed to attract visitors to the main exhibition area, where a big space is formed in the center. Visitors were found to view exhibits that are arranged near the major traffic line.

환경적으로 지속가능한 전시 콘텐츠 기획·운영 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Planning and Operation of Environmentally Sustainable Exhibition Content)

  • 문화·예술은 언제나 사회 문제와 이슈에 적극적으로 개입하고 메시지를 던지는 반면, 전시와 같이 그것을 보여주는 방식에 있어서 환경문제에 역행하고 있다는 비판의 목소리가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 환경적으로 지속가능한 전시 콘텐츠 기획·운영 방안을 도출하고자 기존의 국내 국·공립 및 민간미술관에서 개최된 4종의 전시에 적용된 환경친화적 방식을 비교·분석해 보았다. 4종의 전시에 공통적으로 적용된 방식을 도출해 보면, 현지 재제작 또는 폐자원 활용, 조립식 모듈 벽체를 통해 폐기되는 목재 가벽을 최소화하였다. 또한 인쇄/출판 시, 환경친화적 잉크·소재를 접목하거나 불필요한 인쇄물의 제작 자체를 지양하는 방식 등이 있었다. 이와 같은 공통 요소를 바탕으로 전시장 구축·조성, 인쇄·출판, 전시장 운영의 단계별로 적용해 볼 수 있는 방안을 도출하였다. 다만, 향후 보다 다양한 사례에 대한 접근이 필요하며, 정량적인 측면에서 과학적 설명력을 제고시키기 위한 점은 보완이 필요하다.

  • 웹 전시, 온라인 전시, 가상 전시라고 명명된 많은 콘텐츠들을 살펴보면 일반적인 정보를 주는 웹사이트와 차별화되지 않는 것이 많다. 따라서 본 논문은 웹을 기반으로 한 가상 전시에 있어서 일반 웹사이트와 확연히 차이가 나고 가상 전시 개발의 프레임워크(framework)가 될 수 있는 모델을 제안하는 것이 목적이다. 모델은 전시를 구성하는 가장 기본 요소로서 전시물의 집합체인 아카이브 층, 스토리텔링을 적용한 전시 층, 그리고 수용자의 몰입을 극대화하기 위한 경험 층의 3개 층으로 설계해 보았다. 모델이 적용된 사례의 분석을 통하여 실제로 모델의 적용이 가능함을 제시함과 동시에 지향점이 다른 수용자를 고려한 가상 전시의 개발 방향도 제시하였다. 가상 전시의 개발 모델을 활용할 경우 현란한 기술 위주의 콘텐츠가 아닌 '소재와 가치+미디어와 CT'의 융합을 통하여 가상 전시가 독자적인 콘텐츠의 영역으로 인식될 수 있기를 기대한다.

과학전람회 작품 중 중학교 과학분야의 분석 (Analysis of Middle School-Science Parts among the Products of Nation-Wide Science Exhibition)

  • The study is to analyze the middle school-science parts among the products of nation-wide science exhibition for eleven years recently and the results of compared to the content of science-textbooks of middle school. The number of observation in the student parts among the products of nation-wide science exhibition was the highest in all methods studied, whereas, most teachers surveyed experiments in their products. The mean Shannon's diversity index (DI) was same trend for students and teachers. There was a non-significant difference of the methods in students and teacher groups according to years and the association between students and teachers were closely connected with methods. The correlation between the content of students' products and texts of middle-school was highly positive for earth science, chemistry, and biology, whereas physics showed negative correlation.

Research on Content Control Technology using Hand Gestures to Improve the Usability of Holographic Realistic Content

  • Technologies that are considered to be a part of the fourth industrial revolution include holograms, augmented reality, and virtual reality. As technology advances, the industry's scale is growing quickly as well. While the development of technology for direct use is moving slowly, awareness of floating holograms-which are considered realistic content-is growing as the industry's scale and rate of technological advancement continue to accelerate. Specifically, holograms that have been incorporated into museums and exhibition spaces are static forms of content that viewers gaze at inertly. Additionally, their use in educational fields is very passive and has a low rate of utilization. Therefore, in order to improve usability from the viewpoint of viewers of realistic content, such as exhibition halls or museums, we introduce realistic content control technology in this study using a machine learning framework to recognize hands. It is anticipated that using the study's findings, manipulating realistic content independently will enhance comprehension of objects presented as realistic content and boost its applicability in the industrial and educational domains.

비대면 상황에서 가상 전시와 현장 전시 콘텐츠의 관객 반응 비교 (Comparison of audience response between virtual exhibition and on-site exhibition contents in non-face-to-face situations)

  • 코로나19로 인해 대면으로 진행하는 현장 전시가 불가능한 상황이 지속되었다. 이를 계기로 가상현실/증강현실 등의 기술이 주목받고 있으며 많은 분야에서 이러한 기술들이 활용되고 있는데, 가장 신속히 비대면으로 전환된 분야 중 하나가 전시 예술 분야다. 이 연구에서는 가상현실 기술을 이용하여 가상 전시 공간을 제작하고 다양한 전시물을 가상으로 전시하는 가상 전시 콘텐츠를 제작하였다. 제작된 가상 전시는 동일한 내용의 전시물을 전시하는 현장 전시와 병행하여 개최되었다. 그리고 가상 전시는 HMD를 이용해 관객이 직접 체험해 볼 수 있는 기회도 제공하였다. 높은 현장감을 제공하기 위해 개방감 있게 가상 공간을 제작하였고, 사실적인 전시 구조와 같은 3D 객체와 텍스처를 이용하였다. 가상 전시 참여 관객들은 직접 참여하는 현장 전시와 유사한 체험을 할 수 있으며 동일한 전시 콘텐츠를 감상할 수 있다. 전시 이후에는 현장 전시와 가상 전시를 모두 참여한 관객에게 설문 조사하여 반응을 분석하였다. 설문 결과 가상전시의 유사성과 몰입감에 높은 점수를 부여하였다.

물의 속성과 전시연출에 관한 연구 - 4대강 물문화관을 중심으로 - (A Study on Attribute of Water and Exhibition Composition - Focused on Four-major River Water Culture Pavilion in Korea -)

  • Water Culture Pavilion was constructed as a part of dam construction and Four-major rivers restoration projects, which have the purpose to prevent damage of natural disaster, localized heavy rain and drought, and has several functions; promotion, education and region culture community. Exhibition space in this culture pavilion should have the excellent connection of various media, contents, and exhibition space because of limited space. The purpose of this study is to analyze flows, continuation and connection of exhibit space with the perspectives of the attribute of water and to suggest various content things, technical, spatial types. This study targets Four-major rivers Water Culture Pavilion in Korea and suggests exhibition presentation methods as analyzing contents, media and constituent of exhibition space for each pavilion exhibition. The result of this study is as follows : First, the circulation is common expressed attribute of water in these four water culture pavilion. The reason is that there is a connection between Four-major rivers restoration projects and the physical attribute of water circulating the steps of evaporation, condensation and precipitation. Second, each pavilion presents circulative solid exhibit, circulative background exhibit, circulative reflective exhibit based on circulation. These three types of exhibition is related the floor separation. Third, each pavilion exhibit zone shows the most circulation, solid, background, reflexibility through educational contents and promoting contents by using graphic, video, sound media.

스큐어모피즘을 적용한 패션 에듀테크 XR 콘텐츠 연구 (Research on Fashion Edutech XR Content Applying Skeuomorphism)

  • This study aims to rediscover the industrial value of a borderless service in the hyper-connected era by producing fashion content at the forefront of the cultural industry as XR content and contributing to developing fashion content for edutech. The research method employed design aesthetic theory, while the empirical proposal utilized scientific knowledge information to build a framework for 3D convergence content. The characteristics of fashion content exhibitions that apply the neumorphism technique are as follows: The first is a virtual space that produces clothing culture by type. Africa, where dyeing and crafts are developed, selects a product-oriented exhibition type; Asia, where weaving and textiles are excellent, selects a random movement type; and Europe, where the evolution of clothing design over time is evident, selects a guided movement type to create a three-dimensional fashion edutech. The goal was to produce content. The second is creative reproducibility, which combines a new fashion design that embraces the aura of the original with a trendy sense. The realistic folk costume style of the original allowed for its implementation in the AR exhibition space using historical traditional style techniques such as weaving and textiles. The third is building organic, modular content. By designing and then saving/editing/arranging the basic VP zone for each style, learners and instructors can freely edit the content for each fashion class topic and create various presentations to ensure that it functions as non-face-to-face edutech content around the world.

국립등대박물관 스토리텔링 체험전시 연출 사례연구 -<등대와 과학> 상설전시를 중심으로- (A Case study on Storytelling Experiential Exhibition at the National Lighthouse Museum)

  • 경상북도 포항시 호미곶에 위치한 국립등대박물관 전시관 2층에 위치한 <등대와 과학> 상설전시의 전시연출 방향을 간략하게 분석하고자 한다. 해당 전시는 박물관 주 관람층인 어린이를 동반한 가족 단위의 관람객을 타겟으로 하고 자연채광을 최대한 살리고 바다 풍경을 관람할수 있는 통창과 포토존이 어우러지는 공간을 구성했다. 전시콘텐츠는 자연스럽게 이야기를 따라 동선을 유도하도록 스토리텔링했으며 전시방식은 항로표지에 적용된 과학원리를 관람객이 흥미롭게 체험할수 있도록 체험형 전시로 연출했다.
