INFLUNCE OF ELECTRO-MYOSCOPE(ACUSCOPE) ON INJURED QUADRICEPS FEMORIS WITH USING ELECTRO_MYOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS BUILT INTO THE ELCETROMYOSCOPE

  • 이 실험의 목적은 Electro-Myoscope 이 과다 사용에 의해 일어나는 대퇴사두 근육 통증에 미치는 효과에 대해 근전도를 이용한 연구입니다. 이를 위해 나이 15세부터 50세 사이의 18명의 여성 자원자들이 참여했다. 대퇴직근을 Cybex 운동기기를 사용해 Terminal knee extension 운동을 통해 과다사용으로 인한 통증이 유발되게 하였다. 그리고, Electro-Myoscope을 치료 후 근전도를 통해 대퇴사두근의 motor recruit 에 대해 기록 비교하였다. t-test 와 Chi square 분석 결과 대퇴사두근의 기능이 향상된 것으로 나타났다.

시각 및 청각 되먹임을 통한 편마비 환자의 좌우대칭적 서기자세 훈련효과 (Training Effect of Symmetrical Standing Posture in Hemiplegic Patients Using Auditory and Visual Biofeedback)

  • Weight bearing training on the involved leg is impotant for ambulation and activities of daily living in ambulatory hemiplegic patients. Traditionally, physical therapists have relied on exercise therapy and subjective evaluation. The goal for this study was to measure lower extremity weight distribution in standing with ten hemiplegic pations(M:8, F:2) and to determine the traing effect on symmetrical standing posture using a "Limloader". The Limloader is a machine designed for training symmetrical weight bearing posture. The results showed that the ability to keep the center of gravity within the limits for balance was improved significantly but the ability to adjust weight bearing on the involved leg was not (p<0.05). This study demostrated that hemiplegics can improved their symmetrical weight bearing ability using sensory biofeedback.

발가락 양말 소재별 인체생리반응 및 착용감 (Physiological Responses and Wearing Sensation of Different Toes Socks Materials)

  • Toes socks are used widely for the health of feet. However, discomfort is one of the major complains from toes socks users. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of functional fibers on the physiological response and wearing sensation of toes socks. For experiment, two different toes socks with cotton/warm fiber(WS) and cotton/chitosan fiber(CS) were knitted automatically by a computer controlled flat knitting machine. The control toes socks with cotton/nylon/polyurethan(TS) were prepared to compare the properties. Experiments were conducted in a climate room of $16\pm2^{\circ}C$, $50\pm5%$ R.H. The results of this study were as follows. The change of heart rate, pulse rate, and mean skin temperature showed no difference among three different socks. However, skin temperature of TS was evaluated higher than that of WS and CS. After exercise wearing WS both instep temperature and sole temperature of women tend to higher compared to men. Wet sensation and overall comfort sensation of toes socks were significantly influenced by different fiber contents. Subjects evaluated WS and CS more comfortable than TS.

만성요통환자의 반복체간운동 시 요부신전근 피로 분석 (A Fatigue Analysis on Lumbar Extension Muscle during Repeated Trunk Extention Exercise for Chronic Lumbar Pain)

  • The purpose of this study were analysed fatigue character of lumbar extension Muscle during repeated trunk flexion-extension motion we used EMG multi-telemeter (WEB 5000, Nihon Koden, Japan), Medex lumbar extension machine(Ocala, USA). We evaluated 20 persons on chronic low back pain group and 20 persons on control group. We analysed the quantitative variables IMF, MF, decreased ratios of MF to investigate fatigue. As a result, the following conclusion was drawn : 1. Each lumbar IMF of CLBP was L5> L3> L1 in the order of their size. CON group was similar quantitative and same order. But the relationship of two groups were not significantly. 2 The IMF within lumbar position(L1-L3, L1-L5, L3-L5) of two groups was significantly all positions(p<.05). 3. The MF shifting at lumbar position of two groups during repeated trunk flexion-extension motion was decrease shifting pattern with increase repeating motion, especially CLBP group was suddenly dropping than CON at all lumbar positions(L1, L3, L5) on early stage motion(34 set). 4. The lumbar fatigue of CLBP was higher than CON during repeated trunk flexion-extention motion, so CLBP supposed more tired than CON. And it was significantly within two groups at lumbar positions(L1, L3 : p<.05, L5 : P<.01).

Comparison of Impulses Experienced on Human Joints Walking on the Ground to Those Experienced Walking on a Treadmill

  • It has been reported that long-term exercise on a treadmill (running machine) may cause injury to the joints in a human's lower extremities. Previous works related to analysis of human walking motion are, however, mostly based on clinical statistics and experimental methodology. This paper proposes an analytical methodology. Specifically, this work deals with a comparison of normal walking on the ground and walking on a treadmill in regard to the external and internal impulses exerted on the joints of a human's lower extremities. First, a modeling procedure of impulses, impulse geometry, and impulse measure for the human lower extremity model will be briefly introduced and a new impulse measure for analysis of internal impulse is developed. Based on these analytical tools, we analyze the external and internal impulses through a planar 7-linked human lower extremity model. It is shown through simulation that the human walking on a treadmill exhibits greater internal impulses on the knee and ankle joints of the supporting leg when compared to that on the ground. In order to corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, a force platform was developed to measure the external impulses exerted on the ground for the cases of the normal walking and walking on the treadmill. It is shown that the experimental results correspond well to the simulation results.

고령자 ADL 개선을 위한 기능적 운동 분석 및 선정 (Analysis of Functional Status and Determination for Improvement of ADLs: Korean Elderly)

  • Muscular strength in the elderly is important factors deciding on functional state in daily lives, and functional state shows a health condition. Resistance training to prevent loss of muscle mass and muscle fiber atrophy due to aging can increase muscle mass and strength. Recently, resistance training to improve muscular strength and endurance has been actively researched. Resistance training increases activities of daily living and ability of the elderly, which makes healthy senescent. ADL/IADL is suitable for measuring health condition of the elderly. In this study, target muscles of resistance training were chosen through a correlation analysis between ADLs and elementary motion, and we presented a procedure to select target muscles and exercise equipments. This procedure consist of a survey method that were described detailed motion of ADL/IADL. So we should be to extract resistance training machine to improve functions of regarding fundamental motion. Result of study may improve daily life activities of the elderly through objectives and scientific approaches. Furthermore, it will be helpful to studies about various fields of the elderly.

복합트레이닝이 비만남성의 염증지표와 homocysteine에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Complex Training on Inflammatory Markers and Homocysteine of Obese Men)

  • 본 연구는 30대 비만 남성을 대상으로 복합트레이닝 처치가 염증지표와 심혈관질환의 지표물질인 homocysteine에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상자는 체지방률이 25% 이상인 30대 중반의 비만 남성(n=12)으로 의학적인 질환이 없고, 규칙적인 운동경험이 없는 자를 선정하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 기본검사로 최대산소섭취량(VO2max)과 5가지 기구의 1RM을 측정하였고, 이 결과를 토대로 유산소운동과 중량운동으로 구성된 복합트레이닝을 8주간 실시하여 트레이닝 전과 후에 체구성(체중, 체지방, BMI)과 혈액 내 염증지표(IL-6, TNF-α, CRP) 및 homocysteine의 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 8주간의 복합트레이닝은 체중, 체지방, BMI를 유의하게 감소시켰으며(p<0.01), 염증지표 CRP와 심혈관질환지표 homocysteine을 유의하게 감소시켰다(p<0.05). 따라서 8주간의 복합트레이닝 처치를 통해 체구성의 변화를 확인할 수 있었고, 이러한 변화가 염증지표와 심혈관질환지표에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 사료된다.

대사증후군의 인지와 신체활동 실천에 영향을 미치는 요인: 데이터 마이닝 접근 (Factors influencing metabolic syndrome perception and exercising behaviors in Korean adults: Data mining approach)

  • 본 연구는 기계 학습법 중 하나인 XGBoost를 이용하여 대사증후군을 인지하고 신체활동을 수행하는 집단을 예측하고자 2014년 7월부터 2015년 12월까지 시도되었다. 이에 2009-2013년 지역사회건강조사를 연구자료로 사용하였고 370,430명의 성인을 분석에 포함하였다. 본 연구의 종속변수는 대사증후군의 인지 및 신체활동 실천정도에 따른 단계로 3단계로 구분하였다:Stage 1(무인지, 무 신체활동), Stage 2(인지, 무 신체활동), and Stage 3(인지, 신체활동). 예측변수로는 5년간의 지역사회건강조사 중 공통으로 수집된 문항으로부터 161개의 특성을 선택하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 R program을 이용하여 XGBoost 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 분석 결과 정확도는 0.735 이었으며, 가장 영향을 미치는 10개의 특성은 나이, 교육수준, 체중조절시도 경험, EQ-5D 운동능력, 영양표시 확인, 개인 건강보험가입 유무, EQ-5D 일상활동, 금연광고경험 여부, 통증유무, 당뇨에 대한 보건기관의 교육 경험 순으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과는 XGBoost가 보건의료빅데이터를 이용한 질병의 예방과 관리에 영향을 주는 요인을 확인하는데 유용한 도구임을 보여주었다. 또한, 본 연구를 통해 대사증후군에 취약한 계층을 확인하고 이를 위한 교육프로그램 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

현부리경탕가미방(玄附理經湯加味方)을 병행한 무월경 환자 치험2례(例) (Two cases of secondary amenorrhoea treated by Hyunburikyungtang gamibang)

  • Objectives : Secondary amenorrhoea is the absence of menses for three months in a woman with previously normal menstruation or nine months for women with a history of oligomenorrhoea. It can be caused by stress, extreme weight loss, and excessive exercise. The purpose of this study was to report the clinical effects of herbal medicine on secondary amenorrhoea.Methods : We employed oriental medical treatments; herbal - medication (Hyunburikyungtang gamibang), acupuncture and moxibustion. We treated the patients one or two times a month with oriental therapy method. They took medicine three times a day after a meal. During taking medicine, we let the patients avoid fatty food, flour based food and alcohol. We evaluated the status of the patient, on the basis of the state of menstration and F2 level of Yangdorak. Because we diagnosed the condition of patients with the pattern of liver depression and qi stagnation, so F2 level of Yangdorak was an important point of the diagnosis. Yangdorak machine was Tormeter Iw - zen at Towatech Co.,Ltd.Results : After taking treatment - several times acupuncture and moxibustion during some period and taking herbal-medicine, they had menstrain naturally without taking any hormone drug. Also the amount of menstration has gradually increased. The F2 level of Yangdorak returned to normal range. The feeling of cold on hands, feet and lower abdomen was much improved.Conclusions : Herbal medicine (Hyunburikyungtang gamibang) with oriental medical treatments, acupuncture and moxibustion was effective in the treatment of secondary amenorrhoea.

하지 분절 각도에 따른 수의 등척성 수축(MVIC)시 근전도 비교 (Comparison of the maximum EMG levels recorded in maximum effort isometric contractions at five different knee flexion angles)

  • The purpose of this study was to quantify the maximum EMG levels and determine if there are differences in these EMG levels with respect to different knee flexion angles. Eight university students with no known musculoskeletal disorders were recruited as the participants. The maximum voluntary isometric knee extensions and flexions were taken from each participant sat on the isokinetic exercise machine (Cybex 340) at five different knee flexion angles ($10^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $50^{\circ}$, $70^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$) After surface electrodes were attached to rectus femoris, vastus medialis, vastus laterlis, biceps femoris, and semitendinosus, maximum EMG levels at five different knee flexion angles were measured. The results showed that there was no significant difference in maximum EMG levels among five different knee flexion angles. Although there was no significant difference in EMG levels and were some variations among different knee flexion angles, the EMG signals of quadriceps in extension and biceps femoris in flexion were the greatest at $30^{\circ}$. It seems that different joint angles or relative locations of body segments might affect the magnitude of EMG levels. Because the maximum EMG levels could change with a different knee flexion angle, an attempt should be made to more accurately measure these values. If then, %MVIC measure provides more reliable data and is most appropriate for EMG normalization.
