일부지역 병원 환자조사를 통한 운동상해 관련요인 연구 (Related Factors of Exercise Injury from Hospital Patients)

  • Objective: This study was performed to identify the related factors of exercise injury throughout the actual cases among patients. Method: The subjects of the study consisted of 304 patients(209 male and 95 female) over 20's in seoul and kyonggi area, and data collected by using questionnaires were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 11.0 program. To prove the relative factors of exercise injury from hospital patients Results: 1) It was found that the general degree of exercise injury showed significant difference regarding gender, age and education level. In other words, if it was male, young and high school graduate, the portion of exercise injury for the person was higher than others. On the other hand, the duration of medical treatment for the patient, who is male, old and college graduate took longer than the others. 2) It demonstrated that the lower extremity was most intensively damaged due to the exercise injury, especially, knees and ankles had the most portion of exercise injury and a sprain was the most common form of exercise injury for these body parts. 3) The degree of exercise injury regarding of exercise maintains significant difference with the frequency of exercise. In fact, the more exercise was done by a person such as 3 to 4 days a week, the less duration of medical treatment for the person was taken. 4) It also showed that there was significant difference between the habit of exercise and the degree of exercise injury. In other words, a person had better exercise habit, it took the person less duration of medical treatment. As well, if someone had better warming up, he or she had lower degree of exercise injury after all. Conclusion: Consequently, according to the data, the research suggested that the male needed more carefulness than the female in exercise. Old age people needed to be more careful of getting sprain of knee and ankle in particular. As well, it concluded that people needed not only enough warming up before doing exercise but also positive habit of exercise in order to minimize the exercise injury.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to know sports injury aspects and relationship between exercise stress, tension, exercise habits and sports injuries. Methods : We surveyed 42 professional golf players who attended Korea Tour during the second half of the year 2010 and have sports injuries with self - assessment questionnaires. Results : According to the types, they had myalgia, tendonitis, ligament sprain in the order. According to the body parts, they had injuries in right thoracic, left cervical, left shoulder region in the order. As a result of the analysis of the sports injury frequency according to the exercise stress and tension, there were no significant differences between the high and low level group. But result of injury regions showed high tension level group showed more damages in right thoracic region (p<0.05). Exercise habits appear subjects had lots of training time, however, they used to skip the muscular strengthening exercise during the on season, but had no significant difference between sports injury frequencies and exercise habit. Conclusion : For the improvement of the athletic performance and prevention of the sports injury, warming-up, cooling-down and muscular strengthening exercise program developments are needed.

  • 본 연구에서는 흰쥐의 좌골신경을 손상시킨 후 트레드밀 운동을 적용하여 신경돌기 성장과 좌골신경의 축삭 재생 및 신경성장 인자 발현 그리고 신경기능지수의 변화를 연구했다. 본 연구결과 좌골손상 후 트레드밀 운동을 실시한 그룹이 비운동군에 비해 축삭재생이 촉진되었고, 원위부의 좌골신경에서도 NGF, BDNF단백질 발현이 상당히 증가된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 좌골신경지수를 검사한 결과에서도 운동을 실시한 흰쥐가 비운동 흰쥐에 비해 기능적 회복이 상당히 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 좌골손상 후 운동의 실시가 좌골신경의 축삭재생 촉진과 신경영양인자의 발현증가를 통해 기능적 회복에 도움이 될 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다.

  • Purpose: This study investigates the influence of elastic resistance exercise using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) on the daily activities of a patient with incomplete spinal cord injury. The result will be proposed as background data for effective intervention in a patient with incomplete spinal cord injury. Methods: The target subject was a patient with incomplete spinal cord injury to the cervical cord (C6). Elastic resistance exercise based on PNF was performed for 30 min daily, five times a week, for eight weeks. The ASIS motor scale was applied to test the muscular strength of the upper limb, and the spinal cord independence measure II (SCIM II) was used to evaluate the capacity of daily activity. Results: By applying elastic resistance exercise based on PNF, the muscular strength of the upper limb increased and the performance of daily activity improved. Conclusion: Because elastic resistance exercise based on PNF positively influences the ASIA motor scale and SCIM II of the patient with incomplete spinal cord injury. It can be used for training programs to improve the capacity of daily activity of the patient.

닫힌 사슬 호흡 운동법이 상위 경수 손상 환자의 흉곽둘레길이와 어깨관절의 회전가동범위에 미치는 영향 (The Influence that the Closed Chain Breathing Exercise Affects on Thorax Circumference Increase and ROM of Shoulder Rotation on the Cervical Vertebral Cord Injury Patients)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of closed chain breathing exercise on thorax circumference increase and ROM of shoulder rotation for cervical vertebral cord injury patient's. Methods : 12 cervical vertebral cord injury patients volunteer to participate in this study. closed chain breathing exercise group of 4 subjects performed exercise three time a week. The deep breathing exercise group and general exercise group of 4 subjects performed exercise three time a week. We analyaed the descriptive statistics and $3{\times}2$ repeated measures ANOVA by SPSS 12.0 for window. Results : In comparison of rotation of shoulder ROM between pre and post value, the increase of rotation ROM of shoulder was significant in the closed chain breathing exercise group(p<.05). Conclusion : The closed chain breathing exercise helped to increased rotation ROM of shoulder.

테니스 동호인의 상해 원인과 치료 실태에 관한 연구 (Research about cause of injury and Treatment for Tennis Club Enthusiasts Athletic)

  • The purpose of this survey was to investigate the exercise injuries and its care methods of members in amateur tennis clubs. 176 questionnaires were surveyed from tennis players who were exercising at 6 tennis club ranges in J city, Korea. The interesting variables were parts, time slots, causes, treatments of injuries, which were analyzed based on the general and exercise characteristics of surveyees, a gender, an age, an exercise career, an exercise time, an occupation, an average earning. The results of this study were as follows: 1) In the results of analyses for the injury parts, the upper bodies injuries were more than lower body ones, the injury of back and lumbus had the highest rate among upper body injuries. In twenties, the number of injury had highest rate. 2) The main cause of injury was the carelessness of one's own. The most injury by the carelessness of one's own was a reason for a lack of warm-up. 3) The first emergency manager for the injury was mostly oneself.

척수손상 흰쥐에서 수영훈련이 운동기능 회복에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Swimming Exercise on Motor Functional Recovery after Experimental Contusive Spinal Cord Injury in the Rats)

  • Purpose: Previous studies have suggested that BDNF has a role in plasticity and survival following spinal cord injury and treadmill exercise increases BDNF levels in the normal brain and spinal cord. We attempted to determine whether swimming exercise improve motor function following experimental contusive spinal cord injury and whether motor outcome is associated with BDNF expression. Methods: Thirty six Sprague-Dawley rats (weight, 250 to 300 g) were divided into control (n=18) and experimental swimming group (n=18). Spinal cord injury was produced using NYU-spinal impactor at the eleven thoracic levels in both groups. Swimming exercise started $7^{th}$ day from SCI operation, lasted 5 min per day, 5 days a week for 4 weeks and then exercise times a day were increased in one number to each week. Motor functional recovery was determined by the Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan (BBB) locomotor rating scale, modified inclined board plane test, histological findings, H&E and BDNF expression observed at $1^{th}$, $3^{rd}$, $7^{th}$, $14^{th}$, $21^{st}$ and $28^{th}$day after injury. Results: 1. The BBB scores were higher in experimental group than control group at $14^{th}$, $21^{st}$ day (left hind limb) and at $21^{th}$ day (right hind limb) (p<0.05) after injury. 2. The inclined board plane test were significantly greater in experimental group than control group at $7^{th}$ day (p<0.05), $14^{th}$ and $28^{th}$ day (p<0.01) after injury. 3. The BDNF expression was severe revealed in experimental group than control group at $7^{th}$, $14^{th}$ and $28^{th}$ day after injury. Conclusion: This study suggests that swimming applied from the early phase after spinal cord injury be beneficial effects in motor functional recovery.

척수손상 백서모델에서 저강도 및 중강도 트레드밀 운동이 운동기능회복 및 조직학적 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Low and Moderate Intensity Treadmill Exercise on Functional Recovery and Histological Changes After Spinal Cord Injury in the Rats)

  • This study was designed to investigate the effects of treadmill exercise of low-intensity and moderate- intensity on the functional recovery and histological change in spinal cord injury (SCI) rats. SCI was induced by the spinal cord impactor dropped after laminectomy. Experimental groups were divided into the Group I (normal control), Group II (non-treatment after SCI induction), Group III (low-intensity treadmill exercise after SCI induction), Group IV (moderate-intensity treadmill exercise after SCI induction). After operation, rats were tested at modified Tarlov scale at 2 days with divided into 4 groups, and motor behavior test (BBB locomotor rating scale, Grid walk test) was examined at 3, 7, 14, and 21 days. For the observation of damage change and size of the organized surface in spinal cord, histopathological studies were performed at 21 days by H & E, and BDNF(brain-derived neutrophic factor) & Trk-b immunohistochemistry studies were performed at 1, 3, 7, 14, 21 days. According to the results, treadmill exercise can play a role in facilitating recovery of locomotion following spinal cord injury. Specially, moderate-intensity treadmill exercise after SCI induction was most improvement in functional recovery and histological change.

감초탕 섭취가 고강도 저항성 운동 후 근부상, 혈중 코티졸, 테스토스테론 및 인슐린 민감도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Licorice Supplementation on Muscle Injury, Cortisol, Testosterone and Insulin Sensitivity After High Intensity Resistance Exercise)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of licorice supplementation on muscle injury, plasma cortisol, testosterone and insulin sensitivity after high intensity resistance exercise. Methods : The fourteen health college male students were voluntarily participated in this study and were randomly divided into 2 groups: Control group (CON, n=7), Licorice group (LR, n=7). LR group ingested 2 g/time of licorice extract (mixed with 100 ml of water) two times/day for 10 days while the CON group ingested 100 ml of water. All subjects performed a high intensity resistance exercise (half-squat, 8 RM at 80% one-repetition maximum, 5 sets, 1min rest). Blood samples were collect before (-7) and after (0) licorice supplementation, and then 1 day, 2 day and 3 day post exercise. After 10 day treatment, plasma creatine kinase, cortisol, testosterone, glucose, insulin were measured. To determine the insulin sensitivity, HOMA-IR was calculated. Results : Plasma creatine kinase activities were significantly elevated after exercise, but there was not different between two groups. The plasma cortisol and testosterone levels were not significantly different between two groups. Plasma glucose levels were increased at 1 day and 2 day after exercise in the LR comparing with CON group (P<0.05) but plasma insulin levels were significantly lower in comparison with CON. HOMA-IR were significantly lower in the LR than CON group at 0 day to 3 day (P<0.05). Conclusions : The results of the current study suggest that licorice supplementation for 10 days might not attenuate the high-intensity exercise-induce muscle injury but may enhance the whole-body insulin sensitivity.

수중운동이 미만성 뇌손상 백서의 전정-운동 및 GAP-43 발현에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Aquatic Exercise on Vestibulo-motor and Expression of GAP-43 in Diffuse brain Injury Rats)

  • 본 논문은 산업화와 교통 환경의 발달로 인해 최근 들어 발생빈도가 크게 증가되고 있는 외상성 뇌손상을 대상으로 하여, 치료적 운동의 적용에 있어 수중운동의 뇌신경 가소성에 미치는 영향과 전정-운동에 대한 영향에 대해 알아보고자 한 연구이다. 수중운동이라는 운동학적 특성을 통해 기능적 독립을 위해선 반드시 전제되어야 하는 뇌신경 가소성과 전정-운동 기능의 회복에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 알아보기 위하여 80마리의 백서를 대상으로 4군으로 나누고, 3주간 서로 다른 방식의 운동 훈련(실험군 I: 대조군, II: 수중운동군, III: 속도 및 경사 조절 트레드밀 운동군, IV: 단순 트레드밀 운동군)을 적용하여 전정-운동 기능에 미치는 영향을 Rota-Rod 검사를 통해 알아보고, 신경가소성에 대한 영향성에 대해서는 대뇌피질에서의 GAP-43 인자를 조직면역화학적 방법으로 검사해 보았다. 연구결과, 수중운동을 적용한 군에서, 다른 군들에 비해 뇌신경 가소성에 긍정적이고도 유의한 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 전정-운동 기능 향상에 있어서도 다른 군들에 비해 유의한 향상 효과를 나타내었다. 이는 물이 가지고 있는 다양한 감각적 특성과 환경적 상황이 뇌손상으로 인해 불안정한 신체의 운동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치기 때문인 것으로 사료된다.
