  • Many enterprises have recently been pursuing process innovation or improvement to attain their performance goal. To comprehensively support business process execution, the concept of business process management (BPM) has been widely adopted. A life cycle of BPM is composed of process diagnosis, (re)design, and enactment. For aligning with enterprise strategies, all BPM activities must be closely related to performance metrics because the metrics are the drivers and evaluators of business process operations. The objective of this paper is to propose a life cycle-based BPM framework integrated with the process-based performance measurement model, in which business processes are systematically interrelated with key performance indicators (KPIs) during an entire BPM life cycle. By using the proposed BPM framework, company practitioners involved in process innovation projects can easily and efficiently find the most influencing processes upon enterprise performance in the process diagnosis phase, evaluate the performance of newly designed process in the process (re)design phase, monitor the KPIs of new business process, and adjust business process activities in the process execution phase through the BPM life cycle.

  • In this paper, we designed real time mechanism control language and proposed execution time analysis technique. It was impossible to handle real-time mechanism control programs like programmable controller, numerical controller, distributed control system and robot controller with general purpose programming languages and operating systems because they have to process electric signals generated by thousands of sensors at the same at the same time and in real time. So we made it possible to predict plausibility of time constraint constructs of tiem constraint construct of a real time application program at compilation time by adding time constraint constructs and mechanism synchronization structure to conditional statement and iteration statement of a programming language and developing execution time analysis technique.

  • This paper outlines opportunities and challenges in the implementation of BPEL based WFMS(WorkFlow Management System) for the MES(Manufacturing Execution Systems) in semiconductor manufacturing. At present, the most MESs in semiconductor wafer fabrication shop have the problems in terms of application software integration, reactivity, and adaptability. When a plant has to produce new product mix, remodel the manufacturing execution process, or replace obsolete equipments, the principal road blocks for responding to new manufacturing environment are the difficulties in porting existing application software to new configurations. In this paper, the issues about WFMS technologies including BPEL standard applied for MES are presented. And then, we introduce the integrated development framework named nanoFlow which is optimized for developing the BPEL based WFMS application for automated manufacturing system. And we describe a WFMS implemented with using nanoFlow framework, review and evaluate the system.

  • The aim of this paper is to analysis mechanical system flaw in apartment building service system. From this paper, most mechanical flaws are from design mistake, materials flaw, other engineering construction's negligence of construction execution and careless system operation management. Through this study, the author suggested the way to reduce mechanical flaw, during construction process from drawing survey before execution start to completion of construction.

  • The manufacturing industry early have been introducing automation and information systems of the engineering and production process for getting competitive advantage. one of the typical information systems is MES(Manufacturing Execution System) and it keeps evolving. As Big Data showed up nowadays, application method of Big Data to MES is also being sought. First, this study will do preceding research and cases study on the application of Big Data in the manufacturing industry. Then, it will suggest application Plan of Big Data to MES.

  • MapReduce (MRV1), a popular programming model, proposed by Google, has been well used to process large datasets in Hadoop, an open source cloud platform. Its new version MapReduce 2.0 (MRV2) developed along with the emerging of Yarn has achieved obvious improvement over MRV1. However, MRV2 suffers from long finishing time on certain types of jobs. Speculative Execution (SE) has been presented as an approach to the problem above by backing up those delayed jobs from low-performance machines to higher ones. In this paper, an adaptive SE strategy (ASE) is presented in Hadoop-2.6.0. Experiment results have depicted that the ASE duplicates tasks according to real-time resources usage among work nodes in a cloud. In addition, the performance of MRV2 is largely improved using the ASE strategy on job execution time and resource consumption, whether in a multi-job environment.

  • Production planning is one of the most important activities in shipbuilding enterprises. Shop-floor supervisors and planners still do not have enough information to effectively analyze shop operations because of the difference between production planning and shop-floor scheduling. In this paper, process analysis was conducted between production planning and shop-floor control to clarify the difference, and the necessity of the manufacturing execution system(MES) was derived in a shipyard. Therefore, the simulation-based ship production execution system(SPEXS) was defined by analyzing characteristics of MES. The architectural functions of the system were deducted from the process of requirement analysis. The SPEXS' framework was constructed on the basis of the architectural functions. This framework will provide more reliable production schedules and allow engineers to plan and control shop operations in real-time.

  • Manufacturing Execution System(MES) is in charge of manufacturing execution in the shop floor based on the inputs given by high level information such as ERP, etc. The typical MES implemented is not tightly interconnected with shop floor control system including real (or near real) time monitoring and control devices such as PLC. The lack of real-time interfaces is one of the major obstacles to achieve accurate and optimization of the total performance index of the shop floor system. Smart factory system in the paradigm of Industry 4.0 tries to solve the problems via CPS (Cyber Physical System) technology and FILS (Factory In-the-Loop System). In this paper, we conducted Systems Engineering Approach to design an advanced MES (namely Smart MES) that can accommodate CPS and FILS concept. Specifically, we tailored Systems Engineering Process (SEP) based on an International Standard formalized as ISO/IEC 15288 to develop Stakeholders' Requirements (StR), System Requirements (SyR). The deliverables of each process are modeled and represented by the SysML, UML customized to Systems Engineering. The results of the research can provide a conceptual framework for future MES that can play a crucial role in the Smart Factory.
