In an organization where major business operations are geared by business process management system(BPMS), routine tasks are processed according to the predefined business processes. However, most business operations are subject to some sort of exceptions, and the exceptional situations require update of the existing business process model, or a new business process model has to be defined to handle the exceptions. This paper proposes a system architecture that deploys business process repository as the media for storage and retrieval of the various business process models developed for exception handling. Well defined situation variables and decision variables play the key role for efficient storage and retrieval of the business process models developed for exception handling. The data mining technique C5.0 was used to build the optimum path for the process repository search tree.

For an arbitrary integer x, an integer of the form $$T(x)={\frac{x^2+x}{2}}$$ is called a triangular number. Let α₁, ... , α_k be positive integers. A sum ${\Delta}_{{\alpha}_1,{\ldots},{\alpha}_k}(x_1,\,{\ldots},\,x_k)=\{\alpha}_1T(x_1)+\,{\cdots}\,+{\alpha}_kT(x_k)$ of triangular numbers is said to be almost universal with one exception if the Diophantine equation ${\Delta}_{{\alpha}_1,{\ldots},{\alpha}_k}(x_1,\,{\ldots},\,x_k)=n$ has an integer solution (x₁, ... , x_k) ∊ ℤ^k for any nonnegative integer n except a single one. In this article, we classify all almost universal sums of triangular numbers with one exception. Furthermore, we provide an effective criterion on almost universality with one exception of an arbitrary sum of triangular numbers, which is a generalization of "15-theorem" of Conway, Miller, and Schneeberger.

This paper aims at assessing reasonableness for restraining the independence principle in the operation of documentary credit in case of the illegality appeared in the underlying transactions. It has been a major rule under the independence principle to keep the credit operation free from the defences made by the issuing bank and/or credit applicant with a view to prevent the payment as specified under the credit. And also, it is generally accepted in the international commercial community to examine a presentation to determine, on the basis of the document alone, whether or not the documents appear on their face to constitute a complying presentation. Even though these two essences are major rules in the credit operation, if a presentation is made with the documents forged or materially fraudulent, the issuing bank can refuse to pay the documents in respect of fraud rule based on fraud exception for which a court of appropriate jurisdiction would enjoin such honour. Now we have newly come to another situation to determine whether or not we have to apply the same as fraud rule which is applicable to the illegality in the underlying contract under the new conception of illegality principle based on illegality exception. English Commercial Court handled the illegality case under the case of Mahonia Ltd., v. JP Morgan Chase Bank in 2003 and Justice Colman decided that issuing bank can rely on illegality affecting a letter of credit as an excuse for failure to pay. This judgement brought about the acceptance of illegality principle based on illegality exception as a defence to payment under a letter of credit as far as the illegality concerned in the underlying transactions. It is noticeable that this case will affect our international commercial community more to rely on the illegality in the underlying transactions as a good issue to stop payment for the issuing bank in the L/C operation.

Loosely coupled properties of SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) services do not guarantee that service applications always work properly. Service errors may also influence other services of SOA. These characteristics adversely affect software reliability. Therefore, it is a challenge to effectively manage system change and errors for operating services normally. In this study, we propose a SOA based framework using AOP(Aspect Oriented Programming) for reliable service applications. AOP provides a way to manipulate cross-cutting concerns such as logging, security and reliability and these concerns can be added to applications through weaving process. We define a service specification and an aspect specification for this framework. This framework also includes service provider, requester, repository, platform, manager, and aspect weaver to handle changes and exceptions of applications. Independent Exception Handler is stored to exhibited external Aspect Service Repository. When exception happened, Exception Handler is linked dynamically according to aspect rule that is defined in aspect specification and offer function that handle exception alternate suitable service in systematic error situation. By separating cross-cutting concerns independently, we expect that developer can concentrate on core service implementation and reusability, understanding, maintainability increase. Finally, we have implemented a prototype system to demonstrate the feasibility of our framework in case study.

This paper proposes a new integrated navigation system for a mobile robot in indoor environments. This system consists of five frameworks which are classified by function. This architecture can make the navigation system scalable and flexible. The robot can recover from exceptional situations, such as environmental changes, failure of entering the narrow path, and path occupation by moving objects, using the exception recovery framework. The environmental change can be dealt with using the probabilistic approach, and the problems with the narrow path and path occupation are solved using the ray casting algorithm and the Bayesian update rule. The proposed navigation system was successfully applied to several robots and operated in various environments. Experimental results showed good performance in that the exception recovery framework significantly increased the success rate of navigation. The system architecture proposed in this paper can reduce the time for developing robot applications through its reusability and changeability.

This research uses measures of transformational and transactional leadership to examine its impact on subordinate psychological empowerment and on his/her creativity in 3 resort complexes. For a total of 462 respondents, followers' sense of increased empowerment and creativity are significantly and positively related to the transformational leadership behaviors of their immediate superior, including charismatic attributes and behaviors, individual consideration, and intellectual stimulation. Two of the three transactional leadership measures, including contingent reward and management-by-exception(active), correlate positively with the followers' perceived empowerment and creativity, but the rest one, management-by-exception(passive), negatively with them. The impact of all of the three measures of transformational leadership and the two of transactional leadership(i.e., contingent reward and active management-by-exception) on subordinate creativity is partially mediated by the subordinate empowerment.

본 연구에서는 HWE 방법에 의하여 GaAs(100) 기판위에 입방정의 단결정 박막을 성장하였다. 성장된 CdS 단결정 박막의 결정구조와 방향을 ECP(electron channeling pattern)로 결정하였다. CdS 박막의 (400)면이 기판과 평행하게 성장됨을 알았다. CdS 박 막의 photoluminescence를 20K에서 측정하였는데, free exception, bound exception 및 donor-acceptor pair에 의한 발광이 관측되었다.

ML's exception handling makes it possible to describe exceptional execution flows conveniently. Sometimes, current implementation of exception handling introduces unnecessary overhead. Our goal is to reduce this overhead by source-level transformation. To this end, we transform source programs into variant of continuation-passing style(CPS), replacing handle and raise expressions by continuation-catching and throwing expressions, respectively. CPS-transforming every expression, however, introduces a new cost. We therefore use an exception analysis to transform expressions selectively: if an expression is statically determined to involve exceptions then it is CPS-transformed; otherwise, it is left in direct style. In this article, we formalize this selective CPS transformation, prove its correctness, and present possible improvement for our transformation.

Through the improvement of the Labor Relations Act, the Social Insurance Act, and the Artists Welfare Act for occupational status and rights of artists, the character of workers, joining exception in the Employment Insurance Act, and applying exception in the National Health Insurance Act and the National Pensions Act should be recognized. For this, the scope of workers should be expanded through the interpretation of the court and legislation of the Labor Relations Act, and supporting range of social insurance should be expanded by applying exception in the National Health Insurance Act and joining exception in the Employment Insurance Act for artists who are currently excluded. Artists' compensation insurance that is an optional entry system and paid entirely by artists need to have effectiveness of the system through insurance support. The Artists Welfare Act also needs to be revised to strengthen legal protection for artists and it is important to secure finances for artists' welfare projects. The standard contract should be mandatory and a career certification system for artists should be established so that artists who need welfare benefits can not be omitted.

When an unexpected software exception arises, we programmers are to analyze what causes it. Precisely speaking, we need to analyze the cause and property of the unexpected exception. But if exceptions arise irregularly from unknown causes, it is even more difficult for us to handle them, especially in embedded system like mobile phone software development. In this paper, we propose a debugger-friendly analyzing method for exceptions using aspect oriented programming technique. What we need to know upon arising exceptions is the function call history in order to identify the reason for the exceptions. Since programmers used to spend their debugging time on unidentified exceptions, which arise irregularly our method would greatly improve the embedded software development productivity.
