Yates' continuity correction of the chi-squared test for testing the homogeneity of two binomial proportions in $2{\times}2$ contingency tables is developed to lower the value of the test statistic slightly. The effect of continuity correction is expected to decrease as the sample size increases. However, in extremely unbalanced $2{\times}2$ contingency tables, we find some cases where the effect of continuity correction is eccentric and is larger than expected. In such cases, we conclude that the chi-squared test with continuity correction should not be employed as a test statistic in both asymptotic tests and exact tests.

Purpose : Sasang Constitutional Medicine explains the pathology peculiar to constitution and suggests treatment for each constitution. In Sasang Constitutional Medicine hwnan beings are classified on four groups; Taeyangin, Taeumin, 5oyangin, Soeumin. These four constitution has their's own symptoms and treatments. In treatment, control of mind inclination, that is to say, moderation takes a very important role. But the study on heredity in Sasang Constitutional Medicine has not done not biological study but also statistical study. So we used several statistical methods and analyzed 163 samples. Methods : We implemented Fishers exact test for adjusting chi-squared test, kappa coefficient to estimate agreement of parent's and children's constitutions, and finally plotted bi-plot using correspondence analysis. Results : From Fisher's exact test result, we could know that parent's and children'S constitution's distribution had significant difference. In kappa coefficient, mother and daughter's estimated value produced highest result. In correspondence analysis we only plotted the case of mother and son for easy interpretation. Conclusion : In the study of heredity of SaSang constitution, we cannot know exactly the heredity of constitution in terms of biology or genetics. But this research can be helpful for further analysis, that is, a study of biological or genetical aspects. And we could conclude that in statistical aspects the heredity in SaSang constitution is meaningful.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of abdominal massage, on abdominal bloating and the recovery of bowel movement after sleep colonoscopy. The study design is the time difference before and after the non-equality control. The subjects were 22 patients each in experimental group and control group who recieved sleep colonoscopy at the G hospital in C city, The data collection period was from June 1, 2018 to August 25, 2018, and the control group's data were first collected with time difference from the collection of experimental group's data to prevent the spread of the experiment. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 24.0 and tested by independent sample t-test, $x^2-test$ and Fisher's exact probability test to verify the homogeneity of general characteristics of the subjects. Shapiro-Wilk was used to verify the normality of the abdominal circumference changes in the experimental and control groups. Mann-Whitney U test was used to verify the pre-homogeneity of the abdominal circumference of the subjects. The experimental results were verified by Fisher's exact probability test, Friedman test and Mann-Whitney U test. These results suggest that the abdominal massage can be used as a nursing intervention after sleep colonoscopy by reducing the gas discharge time($x^2=19.75$, p<.001) and abdominal bloating($x^2=29.93$, p<.001).

This paper is for the transient analysis of instant short-circuit test equipment according to the test of tripping limits and characteristics under IEC 60947-2. The in-rush current is harmful to almost equipments and the exact testing is not made because of it. LGIS has a instant short-circuit test equipment, but it is not suitable for carrying out instant short-circuit test on ELB(Earth Leakage Circuit breaker) by reason of that. Now, I am going to show a solution for that problem. After applying this method, manufacturer is going to acquire the exact testing result according to the IEC standard. Moreover, Testing laboratory will be trusted by clients.

Design of a rational earth volume conversion coefficient is required as the earth volume conversion coefficient may give great influence on construction work volume and construction costs in the civil engineering works where large-scaled earth volume is excavated. However, there are a great deal of difficulties in the calculation of the exact spoil surface earth and Insufficient earth volume by adopting the figures presented on the generally used design specifications which are not the results obtained from the selection tests in calculating the earth volume conversion coefficient. In this connection, it would be desirable to calculate the earth volume conversion coefficient by carrying out large-scaled site test adequate for the relevant environment. In consequence, this study aims at calculating the exact earth volume conversion coefficient of cutting and banking areas of weathering rocks in large-scaled construction sites where land is being developed into home lots. For this, we have excavated the respective 20 sites of the cutting and banking areas in the said site and then calculated the volume after the excavation. As a result, the relative exactness degree of the crossing was calculated at 0.5% in average. The relative exactness degree of 0.5% in the volume may be judged as an exact measurement as it corresponds to 0.17% of the relative exactness degree in the length measurement. We have calculated the exact earth volume conversion coefficient by the use of function ratio as per the wet unit weight and the indoor soil quality test as per volume calculated. And then we have found out minor differences as a result of the comparison and analysis with the earth volume conversion coefficient determined by the dry unit weight test as per sand replacement method. This may be judged as a rational design method for the calculation of earth volume conversion coefficient, as well as high reliability of site test as a precision photogrammetry is adopted for volume measurement of the irregular excavating areas.

The performance analysis and robust control of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) greatly depend on accurate value of its parameters. To achieve the high performance of torque control, it is necessary to consider exact inductance values because the inductances are nonlinear parameters of operating the IPMSM. Therefore many different methods have been performed for analysis of the methodology for the exact measurement of synchronous inductances. None of them is considered standard, and accuracy levels of all these methods are also not consistent. Among these experimental methods, the DC current decay test and the vector current control test are ideal for a laboratory environment. In this paper, these two test methods are compared by applying inductances to the IPMSM. The paper analyzes the measured inductances of the two methods and their differences with inductances obtained from the finite element method(FEM).

In this study, It obtained results that the exact spherical diopter to practice test by using Cross cyliner lens and Red Green Card method. In the test used to the 1750 eyes of middle and high school students. The results was as follows ; 1. Using Cross cylinder lens method, I tested a exact spherical diopter after accommodation. At -0.25 Dptr the ratio of spherical Dptr error limits were measured as 58% and at -0.75 Dptr they were oppeared as 1%, at -1.00 Dptr they are not measured. In this method, the error limits of exact spherical Dptr was 91% from 0 Dptr to -0.25 Dptr. 2. Using Red Green Card method, they were measured as 45% at -0.25 Dptr. and measured as 20% at -0.50 Dptr. From the result of these test, Cross cylinder lens method was a better detailed method than Red Green Card method.

We consider a two sample rank test for a bivariate mixture distribution based on Johnson's quantile score. The test statistic is simple to calculate and the exact distribution under the null hypothesis is obtained. A numerical example is given.

Chi-square test based on large sample theory is inappropriate for testing the row homogeneity in two-way contingency table with several sparse cells. For that case, exact testing methods has been developed in the literature and implemented in StatXact(1991). However, considerable computing time is inevitable for moderate size tables. So, Monte Carlo approximation is recommended frequently. In this study, we propose a simple algorithm for generating two-way random tables with fixed row and column margins for small sample chi-square test. Also, we develop “Turkey-type” method for multiple between-row comparisons.
