Conceptual Modeling is the process of abstracting a model from a real or proposed system. It is probably the most important aspect of a simulation study. Relate works show that the elementary developers devoted little time to understanding how the systems actually worked, namely they didn't build appropriate conceptual model. Thus, the result of simulation is inconsistent because it depends on developer's competence. Although many researchers suggested various techniques enabling developer to build conceptual model, there were several limitations. In this study, to overcome the limitations of existing techniques, we proposed COMBINE-DES (COnceptual Model BuildINg framEwork using ontology for Discrete Event Simulation). The COM-BINE-DES supports expediting the conceptual modeling with Solution ontology generated by Domain ontology and Simulation ontology. Moreover, it provides consistent simulation result regardless of repeated modeling.

Ontologies are knowledge containers in which information about a specified domain can be shared and reused. An event happens within a specific time and place and in which some actors engage and show specific action features. The fact is that several ontology models are based on events called Event-Based Models, where the event is an individual entity or concept connected with other entities to describe the underlying ontology because the event can be composed of spatiotemporal extents. However, current event-based ontologies are inadequate to bridge the gap between spatiotemporal extents and participants to describe a specific domain event. This paper reviews, describes and compares the existing event-based ontologies. The paper compares various ways of representing the events and how they have been modelled, constructed, and integrated with the ontologies. The primary criterion for comparison is based on the events' ability to represent spatial and temporal extent and the participants in the event.

The people information is distributed in various forms such as database, web page, text, and so on, where the world wide web is one of the main sources of publicly-available people information. It has a characteristic that the information on people is intrinsically temporal. Therefore, the reconstruction of the information is needed for an individual or a company to use it efficiently. In order to maintain or manage the temporal people information, it must distinguish the variable information from invariable information of people. In this paper, we propose a method that constructs an ontology based on events to manage the variable people information efficiently. In addition, we present a system which reconstructs people information that satisfies the users' demand with the ontology.
In this study, we explore the polysemy of da3 through the ontological conceptual structure found in SUMO. First, we divide several different senses for da3, clustering physical event senses and metaphorical event senses. In here, we only focus on physical event senses of da3. From the physical event senses of da3, we divide them into two main categories: 1) hit and 2) pump. We then use SUMO ontological concepts to identify these physical senses. Finally, we can observe the common patterns of the "hit" sense group and the "pump" sense group for da3.
