A Grid-based distributed evaporation prediction model which calculates temporal and spatial evaporation with a heat balance method was developed. And, the model was considered as the integration with distributed hydrological model in near future. 'This model was programmed by fortran language and used ASCII formatted map data of DEM (Digital Elevation Model) and land cover map extracted by remote sensing data. Also, temporal variations and spatial distributions of evaporation are presented by using GIS. To verify the applicability of the model, it was applied to the Shonai river basin ($532km^2$) which has sufficient meteorological and hydrological data, Japan. The result shows that the estimated mean annual evaporation was 825.4mm, and this value is estimated as suitable things in considering rainfall and discharge data in study area.

Manufacture of OLED device used thermal evaporation method. However thermal evaporation method has many defect as thermal damage of substrate, difficult of dopant rate control and low utilization of organic materials. so we suggest PLD(Pulsed Laser Deposition) method that solution of these problems. PLD method has many advantage as without thermal damage, easy indicate of deposition rate per one pulse and good utilization of organic materials. In this paper we apply the PLD method for manufacture of device so we present high efficiency device manufacture using PLD method that has good deposition uniformity, surface rough and deposition rate.

The climate change caused by global warming may affect on the hydro-meteorologic factor such as evaporation (IPCC, 2001). Furthermore, it is also necessary that the effect of climate change according to geographical condition on evaporation should be studied. In this study, considering geographical and topographical conditions, the 6 evaporation equations that have been applied to simulate annual and monthly pan evaporation were compared. 56 climatologic stations were selected and classified, basing on the geographical and topographical characteristics (urbanization, topographical slope, proximity to coast, and area of water body). The evaporation equations currently being used are applied. These evaporation equations are Penman, Kohler-Nordenson-Fox (KNF), DeBruin-Keijman, Priestley-Taylor, Hargreaves, and Rohwer. Furthermore, Penman equation was modified by calibrating the parameters of wind function and was verified using relative error. The study results indicate that the KNF equation compared best with the pan: relative error was 8.72%. Penman equation provided the next-best values for evaporation relative to the pan: relative error was 8.75%. The mass-transfer method (Rohwer) provided the worst comparison showing relative error of 33.47%. In case that there is a close correlation between wind function and wind speed, modified Penman equation provided a better estimate of pan evaporation.

Using biodegradable polycaprolactone, the microcapsules were prepared by solvent evaporation method. Retinol was selected as a core material, which was used as an important ingredient material in cosmetic fields. Poly(vinyl alcohol) was used as a stabilizer. The shape and property of the microcapsules were characterized by scanning electron microscope and differential scanning calorimeter, and the release rate of the microcapsule was measured by UV spectrophotometer. The microcapsules were prepared, changing the concentration of wall material, the stirring rate, and the concentration of stabilizer. Under the optimum condition, the microcapsules were formed, which showd 5~6 um in diameter and got the homogeneous sphere shape.

By using 45$^{\circ}$ obliqued evaporation method with electron beam system, uniformly vertical liquid crystal (LC) alignment was achieved. And a high pretilt angles of about 2.5$^{\circ}$ were measured. Also, it was verified that there are no variations of pretilt angle as a function of $SiO_x$ thin film thickness 20nm and 50nm. A good LC alignment states were observed at annealing temperature of 250$^{\circ}C$. The high pretilt angle and the good thermal stability of LC alignment by 45$^{\circ}$ obliqued electron beam evaporation method on the $SiO_x$ thin film can be achieved.

The microspheres have been developed as a new drug delivery system. Although many particulate drug carriers, such as liposome, niosome and emulsion, have been introduced, injectable and biodegradable microspheres appears to be a particularly ideal delivery system because the local anesthesia is not necessary for the insertion of large implants and for the removal of the device after the drug release is finished. Biodegradable microspheres with nicotine and triamcinolone acetonide are prepared and evaluated. As biodegradible polymers, PLA (M.W. 15,000, PLA-0015), PLGA (M.W. 17,000, RG 502) and PLGA (M.W. 8,600, RG 502H) are used. This study attempted to prepare and evaluate the nicotine and triamcinolone acetonide-incorporated microspheres, which were prepared by two methods, solvent-evaporation and spray-drying methods. The microspheres, as a disperse system for injections, were evaluated by particle size, size distribution, entrapment efficiency, and in vitro drug release patterns. The differences of preparation method, partition coefficient, types of polymer, and preparation conditions of microspheres influence the particle size, entrapment efficiency, and in vitro drug release patterns.

The Bi$_2$Sr$_2$Ca$_{n}$Cu$_{n+1}$ O$_{x}$, superconducting thin films arc fabricated by using the sputtering and evaporation method. Because we confirmed the sticking ratio of Bi element in the Bi$_2$Sr$_2$Ca$_{n}$Cu$_{n+1}$ O$_{x}$ superconducting thin film fabricated by using the sputtering method was much lower than the expected value, to get the enough number of the flakes of Bi, faraday cup was used to evaporate Bi clement. As a result of the fabrication, Bi 2201 and Bi 2212 single phases could be made by the optima of deposition condition. And we confirmed the sticking coefficient of Bi element was clearly related to the temperature change of the substrate and the generation of Bi22l2 phase

Various bupivacaine-loaded microspheres were prepared using poly(d,1-lactide) (PLA) and poly(d,1-lactic-co-glycolide) (PLGA) by a solvent evaporation method for the sustained release of drug. The effects of process conditions such as drug loading, polymer type and solvent type on the characteristics of microspheres were investigated. The prepared microspheres were characterized for their drug loading, size distribution, surface morphology and release kinetics. Drug loading efficiency and yield of PLGA micro- spheres were higher than those of PLA microspheres. The prepared microspheres had an average particle size below 5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. The particle size range of microspheres was 1.65~2.24${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. As a result of SEM, the particle size of PLA microspheres was smaller than that of PLGA microspheres. In morphology studies, microspheres showed a spherical shape and smooth surface in all process conditions. In thermal analysis, bupivacaine-loaded microspheres showed no peaks originating from bupivacaine. This suggested that bupivacaine base was molecular-dispersed in the polymer matrix of microspheres. The release pattern of the drug from microspheres was evaluated for 96 hours. The initial burst release of bupivacaine base decreased with increasing the molecular weight of PLGA, and the drug from microspheres released slowly. In conclusion, bupivacaine-loaded microspheres were successfully prepared from poly(d,1-lactide) and poly (d,1- lactic-co-glycolide) polymers with different molecular weights allowing control of the release rate.

Cu thin films for electromagnetic wave shielding were prepared on PET film and Ni-coated PET film by using Dry and Wet coating method, such as evaporation method, DC sputtering method and copper sulfate($CuSO_4$). After that, Zn thin film and Ni thin film were prepared onto the Cu thin films by using evaporation dry process and Ni electro plating wet process as a finishing treatment, respectively. The result of conductivity test and corrosion resistance test revealed Cu thin films which were formed with bigger grain size and high Cu composition rate have superior properties. Zn thin film by dry evaporation process and Ni thin film by wet electro plating process on Cu thin films were largely contributed to corrosion resistance. However, Ni thin film by wet process made conductivity of all specimen worse, the other hand, Zn thin film by dry process made it better to improve condictivity of specimens just prepared by dry process.
