Test Filter 너비의 추정을 통한 난류 채널 유동의 Large Eddy Simulation (Large Eddy Simulation of Turbulent Channel Flow Through Estimation of Test Filter Width)

  • The suitable estimation of the filter width in the dynamic eddy viscosity model were investigated in high Reynolds number channel flow. In this study, the improvement on matters by optimizing the test filter shape was attempted through the numerical experiment. The way that select optimum test filter width is recommended. Some test filters, one is based on a discrete representation of the top-hat filter and another are based on a high-order filtering operation, are evaluated in simulations of the turbulent channel flow at Reynolds number 1020, based on friction velocity and channel half width. It appears that the estimation of test filter width practically can decrease the dissipative nature of dynamic eddy viscosity model with explicit test filter. It shows that the value of the filter width ratio used in the dynamic procedure must match the properties of the test filter actually used in the calculation.

  • This study deals with the estimation of material properties according to the construction condition for water-soluble rubberized asphalt waterproofing material of spray type. In this study, the waterproofing material property by the spray construction method is suggested by means of estimation its tensile performance and temperature dependency according to mix proportion ratio(4:1, 8:1), referenced viscosity and solid content (A:360cps, 76%, B:580cps, 79%, C:490cps, 70%), spray angle($30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$), and spray distance(30cm, 50cm, 70cm). The result of testing are as follows. (1) The mix proportion ratio of principal agent and hardener is 4:1. (2) The viscosity referenced and solid content are 490cps and 70%. (3) The spray angle referenced is $45.^{\circ}$ (4) The distance referenced from concrete surface to spray gun is 40~50cm.

유동화공법에 의해 제조한 고유동 콘크리트의 시공 및 원가분석 (The Execution and Estimation of Construction Cost of High Fluidity Concrete Applying Flowing Concrete Method)

  • High fluidity concrete(HFC) requires high dosage of superplasticizer to acquire sufficient fluidity, and high contents of fine powder and viscosity enhancing admixtures to resist segregation. The use of high amount of admixtures to make HFC at batcher plant in ready mixed concrete company is one of the reasons to raise the manufacturing cost of HFC. For this reason, new type of manufacturing method of HFC are described using both flowing concrete method and segregation reducing superplasticizer(SRS) in order to gain economical profit and offer the convenience for quality control.. As dosage of melamine based superplasticizer increases, it shows that fluidity and bleeding increase, while air contents and ratio of segregation resistance decrease. It also shows that addition of viscosity agent into superplasticizer reduce bleeding and improve segregation resistance of concrete. Dosage of AE agent into superplasticizer containing viscosity agent recovers loss of air contents during flowing procedure. Combination of proper contents of superplasticizer, viscosity agent and AE agent make possible to develope segregation reducing type superplasticizer. Compressive strength of high fluidity concrete applying flowing method with it is higher than that of base concrete. No differences of compressive strength between compacting methods are found. For the estimation of construction cost of high fluidity concreting using segregation reducing type superplasicizer, under same strength levels, although material cost of high fluidity concrete is somewhat higher than that of plain concrete due to segregation reducing type superplasticizer cost, labor cost and equipment cost of high fluidity concrete is cheaper than that of plain concrete. However, based on the strength differences, high fluidity concrete shows lower material cost, labor cost and equipment cost than that of plain concrete due to decreasing in size of member and re-bar caused by high strength development of concrete.

  • 본 연구에서는 미지시료 또는 LFT와 같은 고점도 수지의 점도를 실제 사출성형 공정과 CAE 해석을 통하여 신뢰할 수 있는 새로운 점도의 추정 방법을 제안하였다. 우선 금형 내에 캐비티 압력을 측정할 수 있는 시스템을 구성하였고, 이 시스템을 이용해서 실제 사출과정에서 나타나는 압력 변화를 측정하는 것이다. 상용화 된 CAE 프로그램(Moldflow)은 사출공정에서 캐비티 내부를 흐르는 수지의 압력변화를 모사할 수 있다. 만약, CAE D/B에 있는 수지의 점도 데이터가 정확하다고 가정하면, 실험에서 측정한 압력 프로파일과 CAE로부터 계산 된 압력 프로파일이 일치해야 한다. 이것이 실험값과 일치하지 않으면 가정한 값을 CAE D/B에 입력해서 일치할 때까지 반복함으로써 신뢰성 있는 점도를 추정 할 수 있다. 이러한 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서 PP수지에 대하여 적용한 결과, 일반적인 점도계로 측정한 값과 일치하는 결과를 얻었다. 한편, PP-LFT에 대하여 적용하여 최적화 된 점도 데이터도 추정할 수 있었다.

PAG 및 POE 오일의 열안정성 평가 및 수명 예측 (Evaluation of the thermal stability and estimation of the lifetime of PAG and POE oil)

  • An experimental study was conducted to analyze the thermal stability and to estimate the lifetime of refrigerating lubricants. PAG and POE oil are considered as a test fluids in this study. The viscosity of PAG and POE oil was measured by the vibration type viscometer while temperature is varied periodically in the range of $0^{\circ}C{\sim}100^{\circ}C$. The results indicate that the reduction rates of viscosity of PAG and POE oil were less than 5% after 510 cycles. In order to estimate lifetime of PAG and POE oil with temperature, the viscosity was measured while the temperature of oils was maintained at 180, 200 and $220^{\circ}C$. It is found that the lifetimes of PAG oil were shown to be 244, 177 and 89 hours at the temperature of 180, 200 and $220^{\circ}C$, respectively. Also the lifetimes of POE oil were estimated to be 1,744, 1,007 and 334 hours at the temperature of 180, 200 and $220^{\circ}C$, respectively. The lifetime correlations of PAG and POE oil are suggested in this paper.

Experimental observation and numerical simulation of cement grout penetration in discrete joints

  • This paper presents a comparison between experimental measurements and numerical estimations of penetration length of a cement grout injected in discrete joints. In the experiment, a joint was generated by planar acryl plates with a certain separation distance (; aperture) and was designed in such a way to vary the separation distances. Since a cement grout was used, the grout viscosity can be varied by controlling water-cement (W/C) ratios. Throughout these experiments, the influence of joint aperture, cement grout viscosity, and injection rate on a penetration length in a discrete joint was investigated. During the experiments, we also measured the time-dependent variation of grout viscosity due to a hardening process. The time-dependent viscosity was included in our numerical simulations as a function of elapsed time to demonstrate its impact on the estimation of penetration length. In the numerical simulations, Bingham fluid model that has been known to be applicable to a viscous cement material, was employed. We showed that the estimations by the current numerical approach were well comparable to the experimental measurements only in limited conditions of lower injection rates and smaller joint apertures. The difference between two approaches resulted from the facts that material separation (; bleeding) of cement grout, which was noticeable in higher injection rate and there could be a significant surface friction between the grout and joint planes, which are not included in the numerical simulations. Our numerical simulation, meanwhile, could well demonstrate that penetration length can be significantly over-estimated without considering a time-dependency of viscosity in a cement grout.

Lakatos 모델로 계산한 소다석회유리 점도와 조성과의 관계 분석 (Analysis of the relationship between soda-lime glass composition and viscosity calculated by Lakatos model)

  • Lakatos 모델을 이용한 유리점도 추정법은 소다석회유리의 조성과 점도와의 관계를 가장 잘 추정할 수 있는 방법의 하나이다. Lakatos 모델은 SiO2, Al2O3, Na2O, K2O, CaO, MgO의 양을 입력하여 점도를 산출한다. 본 연구에서는 소다석회유리병 제조 공장에서 월별로 분석한 10개의 조성에서 점도 log η가 3, 6.6, 10, 12.3 Pa·s에서의 isokom 온도를 구하고, isokom 온도 변화가 어떤 조성 변화와 밀접한 상관관계를 갖는지 조사하였다. 그 결과 점도가 log η = 3에서의 isokom 온도는 (Si+Al)/O 값과 가장 밀접한 상관관계를 가지며, log η = 6.6에서의 isokom 온도는 1/Na 값과 밀접한 상관관계를 가짐을 알았다.

심장 일의 측정을 위한 수학적 모델링 (Mathematical Modeling for Estimation of Heart Work)

  • 심장 일을 계산하여 혈관질환을 진단하는 방법이 새롭게 대두되고 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 혈관내의 두 지점에서 압력을 측정하여 점도 모델로부터 압력 펄스 및 심장 일을 구하는 수학적 모델을 개발하는 것이다. 심장 일을 측정하기 위해서 커프로부터 구한 혈압과 펄스파에 대한 의료 정보를 활용하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 혈관 내 두 측정점 사이의 펄스파를 이용하여 심장 일을 구하기 위한 수학적 모델의 개발이다. 심장 일은 Casson 및 Hershel-Bulkery 점도모델과 Windkessel 모델을 이용하여 구하였다. Casson 점도 모델과 Hershel-Bulkley 점도 모델을 이용하여 근위부에서의 컴플라이언스 값은 차이가 없으나 원위부에서 값은 큰 차이가 나타났다.

  • It is a paper for design, manufacture and estimation of industry inkjet head. Simulations for Actuator, Ink flow and Ejection are executed for securing design ability. Relations between droplet and properties of ink are explained closely through simulation for nozzle. Actually, two silicon plates are made by dry and wet etching and directly bonded. PZT materials is attached on the bended ink flow part and cut to $540{\mu}m$ interval by dicing saw. Actuator was seen variation within 10% between simulation and actual head. Through the ejection estimation, it is shown that stabilized driving voltages change according to viscosity and surface tension of metal ink. Using the metal ink of viscosity of 4.8 cps and surface tension of 0.025 N/m, it is possible to eject the stable droplets with 5m/s, 20 pl, 5 kHz.

에폭시/고무 거시계면에서 장시간 절연파괴전압에 대한 연구 (Study on the Long Time Breakdown Voltage in the Macro Interface between Epoxy and Rubber)

  • In this paper, the estimation of lifetime with the various conditions of the interface between toughened epoxy and rubber which are consisting materials of underground power delivery system has been studied. After the measurement of the short time AC interfacial breakdown strength on macro interfaces at room temperature, the breakdown time at several voltages were measured under the constant voltages lower than the short time breakdown voltage. The long time breakdown voltage was calculated by using Inverse Power Law. Two types of interfaces was studied. One was the interface between toughened epoxy and EPDM(Ethylene Prorylene Diene Terpolymer). The other was the interface between toughened epoxy and silicon rubber. Interfacial pressure and roughness of interfaces was determined through the characteristic of short time AC interfacial breakdown strength. Oil condition was no oiled, low viscosity oiled and high viscosity oiled. High viscosity oiled interface between Toughened epoxy and silicon rubber had the best lifetime exponent, 20.69. and the breakdown voltage of this interface after 30 years was evaluated 19.27㎸.
