The tasks which detect and track moving objects, by analyzing dynamic images taken at a constant time interval, are essential in various applications. This paper suggests how to utilize domain-specific knowledge and motional knowledge for detecting and tracking moving objects. That is, The trajectory information of a moving object is to be used for generating hypotheses on expected motion and expected position of moving objects, and the domain-specific knowledge is to be used for verifying the generated hypotheses.

Polypyrrole (PPy) is regarded as one of the most Promising intrinsically or naturally conductive polymer for practical applications due to its relatively high electrical conductivity, environmental stability and low toxicity. The typical PPy, which is insoluble and infusible, exhibits poor processability and lacks essential mechanical properties. A number of papers have concerned the efforts to overcome these drawbacks. In this paper we show that Helton class preserves the nilpotent and finite ascent properties. Also, we show some relations on non-transitivity and decomposability between operators and their Helton classes. Finally, we give some applications in the Helton class of weighted shifts.

It has been developed to calculate fuel budget for a geostationary communication and broadcasting satellite. It is quite essential that the pre-launch fuel budget estimation must account for the deterministic transfer and drift orbit maneuver requirements. After on-station, the calculation of satellite lifetime should be based on the estimation of remaining fuel and assessment of actual performance. These estimations step from the proper algorithms to produce the prediction of satellite lifetime. This paper concentrates on the fuel estimation method that was studied for calculation of the propellant budget by using the given algorithms. Applications of this method are discussed for a communication and broadcasting satellite.

Due to a rapidly aging society, the future Korea mortality rate is important for planning national financial strategies and social security policies. Old age mortality statistics are very limited in their ability to project a future mortality rate; therefore, it is essential to accurately estimate the old age mortality rate. In this paper, we show that the CK model with a Relational model as a base model provides accurate estimates of old age mortality rates.

Coverage-based NHPP SRGMs have been introduced in order to incorporate the coverage growth behavior into the NHPP SRGMs. The coverage growth function representing the coverage growth behavior during testing is thus an essential factor of the coverage-based NHPP SRGMs. This paper proposes a class of discrete time coverage growth functions and illustrates its application to real data sets.

This paper presents a Class-D type switched mode audio power amplifier employing ZVT(Zero-Voltage-Transition) soft switching technique. In order to obtain a wide bandwidth and lower distortion for an audio amplifier a high switching frequency is essential. The ZVT switching scheme enables a high frequency switching without sacrificing the efficiency much as in a hard switching. A prototype amplifier is built to demonstrate the feasibility of this technique for the audio power amplifier.

Recently, plasma injection has been suggested as a means to enhance and control combustion rates of propellant materials. It is also of interest for applications in fields such as rocket propulsion, electrothermal-chemical (ETC) launchers, and hypersonic mass acceleration technology. Low bit rate image/video coding is essential for many visual communication applications. When bit rates become low, most compression algorithms yield visually blocking artifacts that highly degrade the perceptual quality, and post-processing approaches provide one attractive solution. In this paper, we provide simple and very efficient blocking artifacts reduction method using constrained random value addition. Our method is simple enough to be used for real-time post-processing of video.

We propose a new application method of the datamining technique that might help building an efficient trade strategy in the stock market, where the analysis of the huge database is essential. The proposed method utilizes the association rules among the price changes of individual stock from the market basket analysis (a datamining technique typically used in the Marketing field) in building the strategy We also apply the proposed method to the daily stock prices in Korean stock market, from Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2001. The application results show that the proposed method gives an significantly higher yield rate than the actual stock chage rate.
