  • In an underwater vehicle, the navigation error is mostly caused by the initial misalignment, the bias of a gyro and an accelerometer, and the sea current. Therefore, it is important that these error sources are estimated and compensated in order to reduce the navigation error. In this paper, the E.M.Log aided SDINS is designed by using the E.M.Log which measures the forward velocity of a vehicle. And the system error state equation and the measurement equation are derived and the suboptimal Kalman Filter is established for this aided SDINS. The simulation result showed that this had an important role in estimating and compensating these error sources, thus reducing the navigation error of an underwater vehicle.

  • This study aims to apply the Generalizability Theory (G-theory) for estimation of reliability of evaluation scores between raters on Patient Dentist Interaction. Selecting a number of raters as multiple error sources, this study was analyzed the error sources caused by relative magnitude of error variances of interaction between the factors and proceeded with D-study based on the results of G-study for optimal determination of measurement condition. The estimated outcomes of variance component for accuracy among the Patient Dentist Interaction evaluation with G-theory showed that impact of error was the biggest influence factor in students. The second influence was the item effect, and the rater effect was relatively small. The Generalizability coefficients for case1 and case2 which were estimated through the D- study were calculated relatively low.

능동방음벽 시스템에서의 제어음원 위치에 관한 고찰 (Optimal Transducer Positions of an Active Noise Control System with an Opening in an Enclosure)

  • Active control techniques have been used in wide areas of noise and nitration control engineering and a noise barrier is one of them. Omoto's work in 1993 would be one of the fundamental and systematic studies on the actively controlled noise barrier, in which he used equal number of control sources and error sensors. The error sensors were placed uniformly along the top edge of the noise barrier with equal distance apart and the control sources were placed in the exactly same way some distance apart from the error sensors. Since then, a couple of studies were made on the secondary sources'arrangement rather than the optimality of secondary source positions. Shao's results showed that arc shaped arrangement for secondary sources is better than the straight line one, and later work of Yang showed that the more important factor is the average distance between the primary source and secondary sources. However, since these studies were all executed with a simple uniform distribution of the secondary sources along the straight line or arc, it is difficult to conclude which arrangement is superior In order for the fare comparison. the optimality of the source positions in each arrangement must be given in prior. The primary goal of this study is focused on this aspect and some major factors were investigated and compared. The computer simulation results showed that the arc shaped arrangement is marginally better than the straight line one, and more importantly slightly tuned position can greatly improve the performance of the control system.

집광 열유속 측정과 모델링의 비교를 통한 집광 오차 평가 (Concentration Error Assessment by Comparison of Solar Flux Measurement and Modeling)

  • Concentration errors critically affect the performance of solar concentrator, so their evaluation is important to the concentrated solar power technology. However, the evaluation is very challenging because error sources are various and not easy to measure individually. Therefore, the integrated effect of concentration errors is often more interesting and useful for large-scale applications. In the present work, we analytically investigate and classify various concentration error sources and then explain that the effect of various concentration errors can be represented in terms of a root mean square value of reflector surface slope error. We present an indirect approach to assessing the reflector surface slope error by comparing solar flux measurement data with modeling calculations. We apply the approach for solar furnaces with different thermal capacity and investigate its advantages and disadvantages.

최적화 알고리즘을 활용한 곡사포의 사격 오차 예측 기법 (Artillery Error Budget Method Using Optimization Algorithm)

  • 곡사포의 사격오차는 탄착의 분산도와 탄착중심오차(MPI)를 포괄하는 용어로, 본 연구에서는 사격시험을 수행하지 않고 정량적 분석을 통해 사격오차를 예측하는 기법에 대해 논하고자 한다. 기존에도 곡사포의 사격오차를 예측하기 위한 분석기법은 있었지만, 오차에 관여하는 영향요소들에 대한 정보가 부족하여 활용이 제한되었다. 본 연구에서는 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 누적된 시험이 수행된 기존 무기체계 시험결과를 활용하여, 오차의 원인이 되는 각 요소 값들을 역으로 산출하는 방식을 제안한다. 이 과정에서 항공공학 분야에서 흔히 사용되는 최적화 알고리즘을 이용한 입력계수 추출 방식을 도입하였다. 최적화 알고리즘으로는 CMA-ES라는 진화적 기법을 소개하며, 적용 결과에 대하여 해설하였다. 이런 과정을 통해 얻은 사격오차요인 값은 향후 신규 무기체계 개발에 있어 성능요구사항 산출에 사용될 수 있으며, 야전에서의 곡사포 정확도 향상에도 기여할 것으로 보인다.

  • 순간수위변화 및 양수 시험은 현장에서 대수층의 수리상수 추정을 위해 널리 사용되는 수리시험이다. 그런데 이런 수리시험을 수행하고 그 결과를 해석함에 있어서 다양한 오차 및 불확실성 요인이 있음에도 불구하고 이에 대한 심각한 고려가 많지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 양수 및 순간수위 변화시험을 다수의 동일 관정에서 반복 수행하고 그 결과를 다각적으로 검토함으로써 두 수리시험에 개입될 수 있는 오차 및 불확실성 요인을 분석하였다.

간섭무늬 최대점 이동량의 감지를 이용한 초정밀 변위 측정 시스템 (Ultra Precision Displacement Measuring System Using the Detection of Fringe Peak Movement)

  • This paper proposes a precision displacement measuring method of detecting fringe movement of interferograms with a nanometric resolution. It is well known that the laser interferometer plays a useful and essential role in scientific and industrial application, but they have such error sources as an unequal gain of detectors, imbalanced beams, and lack of quadrature. These error sources degrade the accuracy of the interferometer. However, the fringe movement of interferograms has little relation with these error sources. In order to investigate performance of the proposed method. analysis and simulation were executed over random noise and wavefront distorion. Results of the simulation show that the proposed method is robust against these errors. Experiment was implemented to verify this method.

  • Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) is one of the most efficient technologies to obtain the topographic and bathymetric map of coastal zones, superior to other technologies, such as sound navigation and ranging (SONAR) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR). However, the measurement results using LiDAR are vulnerable to environmental factors. To achieve a correspondence between the acquired LiDAR data and reality, error sources must be considered, such as the water surface slope, water turbidity, and seafloor slope. Based on the knowledge of those factors' effects, error corrections can be applied. We concentrated on the effect of the seafloor slope on LiDAR waveforms while restricting other error sources. A simulation regarding in-water beam scattering was conducted, followed by an investigation of the correlation between the seafloor slope and peak timing of return waveforms. As a result, an equation was derived to correct the depth error caused by the seafloor slope.

  • 본 논문에서는 수중에서 빠른 속도로 기동하는 표적 환경에 적합한 조향각 오차 보정기법을 제안한다. 기존의 협대역 조향각 오차 보정기법에서는 다수의 시간 데이터 단편을 이용한 반면, 제안한 기법은 하나의 시간 데이터 단편에서 다수의 주파수 성분들로부터 모드 공분산행렬을 구성하고, 이를 이용하여 얻어진 광대역 MVDR (Minimum Variance Distortionless Response) 빔출력을 최대화시키는 조향각 오차를 추정함으로써 짧은 관측시간 내에 정확한 표적의 방위각을 추정할 수 있다. 모의신호와 실제 해상 실험 데이터를 이용하여 제안한 기법의 성능을 기존의 기법과 비교, 분석하였다.

Drift error compensation for vision-based bridge deflection monitoring

  • Recently, an advanced video deflectometer based on the principle of off-axis digital image correlation was presented and advocated for remote and real-time deflection monitoring of large engineering structures. In engineering practice, measurement accuracy is one of the most important technical indicators of the video deflectometer. However, it has been observed in many outdoor experiments that data drift often presents in the measured deflection-time curves, which is caused by the instability of imaging system and the unavoidable influences of ambient interferences (e.g., ambient light changes, ambient temperature variations as well as ambient vibrations) in non-laboratory conditions. The non-ideal unstable imaging conditions seriously deteriorate the measurement accuracy of the video deflectometer. In this work, to perform high-accuracy deflection monitoring, potential sources for the drift error are analyzed, and a drift error model is established by considering these error sources. Based on this model, a simple, easy-to-implement yet effective reference point compensation method is proposed for real-time removal of the drift error in measured deflections. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method are demonstrated by in-situ deflection monitoring of railway and highway bridges.
