볼트 체결형 란주반 초음파 트랜스듀서의 프렌지 포인트 최적화를 위한 실험적 방법 제안 (Suggestion of an experimental method for optimization of flange point of a bolt-clamped Langevin-type ultrasonic transducer)

  • 강력초음파 분야에 있어서, 트랜스듀서의 고정을 위한 프렌지의 위치설정은 트랜스듀서의 변환효율에 큰 영향을 주는 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 볼트 체결형 란주반 초음파 트랜스듀서의 공진모드에 따른 프렌지의 설치 위치를 결정하기 위한 실험적 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법에서는 반원형 쐐기 형태의 지그를 제작하여 트랜스듀서의 측면을 따라 이동하며 지그에 일정한 압력을 가한 후 트랜스듀서의 진동특성을 분석하였다. 압력을 가하는 위치에 따른 트랜스듀서의 입력 어드미턴스의 변화를 분석하여 프렌지의 최적의 위치를 결정할 수 있었다. 이 위치들은 메이슨 등가회로를 적용하여 계산한 공진 주파수 및 전송선로 모델 해석으로부터 계산한 각 공진 모드에 대한 입자속도 분포로부터 예측한 진동 모드의 절의 위치와 좋은 대응을 보이고 있어 본 연구에서 제안된 방법의 유효성을 확인할 수 있었다.

차량 누적거리에 의한 연비 특성 연구 (Study on Fuel Economy Characteristics by Cumulative Distance of Vehicle)

  • The vehicle label fuel economy is used as an energy management indicator nationwide. It induces technology development of automobile manufacturers and plays a role of providing information when purchasing a consumer vehicle. However, consumers who purchase a new vehicle continued to complain that the label fuel economy is different from the mandatory fuel economy rate. The domestic fuel economy measurement method is the same as the North American measurement method. The results of the two test modes (urban (FTP-75 mode), highway (HWFET mode)) are calculated in five test modes reflecting various environmental conditions and driving patterns 5-cycle correction formula is used which is equivalent to the fuel efficiency value. In this study, to solve the consumers' curiosity about the fuel economy of new vehicle, we use domestic fuel economy measurement method to measure the new car condition within 150 km of driving distance and the cumulative driving distance condition of domestic label fuel economy test vehicle. A comparative evaluation of fuel economy was carried out for a durability vehicle of $6,500{\pm}1,000km$. A result, mean value of the fuel economy of the four gasoline vehicles increased by 2.7 % in the city center mode and by 2.5 % in the highway mode in the durable vehicle compared new vehicle. And in the case of the diesel vehicle it increased by 2.5 % and 3.9 % respectively. The harmful exhaust gas emitted from the vehicle also resulted in more emissions of both gasoline and diesel vehicles in new vehicles. It is considered that the increase of the frictional force of the vehicle driving system and the lubricating oil system would have an effect on the reduction of the fuel economy of the new vehicle, and it was found that the fuel economy and the exhaust gas were improved by proper cumulative distance (domesticate) to the new vehicle.

  • 본 논문에서는 DRAM 모듈의 전원 평면에 대한 효과적인 설계 방법을 제시하였고 그 방법은 다음과 같이 세 단계로 구성되어 있다. 1) PEEC 등가회로를 이용한 2D 전송선 구조로 전원평면의 모델링 및 해석. 2) 측정값 비교를 통한 해석 결과 검증. 3) 전원 평면의 물리적 파라미터를 이용한 설계 가이드 제시. 제시한 내용을 바탕으로 하여 DRAM 모듈에서 전원 및 접지평면 성능을 안정화를 이루기 위한 효과적인 De-coupling 커패시터의 용량과 개수를 결정하는 방법을 기술하였다 이 설계 방법론은 스트립 구조 및 do-coupling 커패시터를 갖는 DRAM 모듈에서 효과적으로 사용할 수 있다.

우리나라 비중앙급전발전기의 하루전 출력 예측시스템 개발 (Development of One Day-Ahead Renewable Energy Generation Assessment System in South Korea)

  • This paper proposes a probabilistic generation assessment model of renewable energy generators(REGs) considering uncertainty of resources, mainly focused on Wind Turbine Generator(WTG) and Solar Cell Generator(SCG) which are dispersed widely in South Korea The proposed numerical analysis method assesses the one day-ahead generation by combining equivalent generation characteristics function and probabilistic distribution function of wind speed(WS) and solar radiation(SR) resources. The equivalent generation functions(EGFs) of the wind and solar farms are established by grouping a lot of the farms appropriately centered on Weather Measurement Station(WMS). First, the EGFs are assessed by using regression analysis method based on typical least square method from the recorded actual generation data and historical resources(WS and SR). Second, the generation of the REGs is assessed by adding the one day-ahead resources forecast, announced by WMS, to the EGFs which are formulated as third order degree polynomials using the regression analysis. Third, a Renewable Energy Generation Assessment System(REGAS) including D/B of recorded actual generation data and historical resources is developed using the model and algorithm predicting one day-ahead power output of renewable energy generators.

  • 본 연구에서는 배전계통에서 부하불평형을 고려한 분산형 전원의 운영에 대한 계획을 제안하였다. 또한, 배전계통의 실제 부하구성 분포를 고려하기 위하여 부하모형은 가정용, 산업용, 상업용, 사무용 및 농업용 부하 등의 집단 부하로 모형화 하였다. 또한, 목적함수로는 계통 유효전력손실을 사용하였고 분산형전원의 수 또는 총용량 및 모선 전압을 제약조건으로 정식화하였으며, 이 목적함수와 제약조건에 대한 부정확한 성질을 평가하기 위하여 퍼지 Goal Programing으로 모델링 하였으며, GA를 사용하여 최적해를 탐색하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to research dampers, which are applied mainly to buildings adjacent to the coast, such as nuclear facilities, and used for ventilation and can safely protect lives and equipment in emergency situations. Comparing the equivalent stress for three models with hinge reinforcement and support reinforcement based on the early design model for Damper, in the Base model, the highest stress occurred in the part of hinge, especially in the centrally mounted hinge, and after reinforced the hinge, it was occurred in the rear support. For models reinforced hinges and supports, it is considered that reinforcement for stiffness will be required in the future as it entered within the range of allowable stress. For the safety factor distribution, the minimum safety ratio was sufficiently secured at least 1 and was high at the edge of the Damper frame and the Blade. As the hinge was reinforced, the safety factor distribution of Blade was increased, and it was verified that the safety factor was secured through the support reinforcement.

  • To keep the superconducting (SC) magnet coils of KSTAR at proper operating conditions, not only the coils but also other cold components, such as thermal shields (TS), magnet structures, SC bus-lines (BL), and current leads (CL) must be maintained at their respective cryogenic temperatures. A helium refrigeration system (HRS) with an exergetic equivalent cooling power of 9kW at 4.5K without liquid nitrogen $(LN_2)$ pre-cooling has been manufactured and installed for such purposes. In this proceeding, we will present the commissioning and initial operation results of the KSTAR HRS. Circuits which can simulate the thermal loads and pressure drops corresponding to the cooling channels of each cold component of KSTAR have been integrated into the helium distribution system of the HRS. Using those circuits, the performance and the capability of the HRS, to fulfill the mission of establishing the appropriate operating condition for the KSTAR SC magnet coils, have been successfully demonstrated.

  • In this paper, transient characteristics of IGBT has been analytically solved to express the excess minority carrier distribution in active base region and the output voltage. Non-Punch Through(NPT) structure has been selected to prove the validity of the model. It is based on the equivalent circuit of MOSFET which supplies a low gain and a high level injection to the base of BJT. None of the quasi static conditions have been assumed to trace the transient characteristics. The basic elements of the model have been derived from the ambipolar transport theory. Theoretical predictions of the output voltages have been obtained with different lifetimes and compared with experimental and theoretical results available in the literature. From the analytical approach, good agreement has been obtained to provide reliable and fast output of the device.

  • The new better than used failure rate (NBUFR), Abouammoh and Ahmed (1988), and new better than average failure rate (NBAFR) Loh (1984) classes of life distributions, have been considered in the literature as natural weakenings of NBU (NWU) property. The paper considers testing exponentiality against strictly NBUFR (NBAFR) alternatives, or their duals, based on goodness of fit approach that is possible in life testing problems and that it results in simpler procedures that are asymptotically equivalent or better than standard ones. They may also have superior finite sample behavior. The asymptotic normality are proved. Powers, Pitman asymptotic efficiency and critical points are computed. Dealing with censored data case also studied. Practical applications of our tests in the medical sciences are present.

Calculation of Temperature Rise in Gas Insulated Busbar by Coupled Magneto-Thermal-Fluid Analysis

  • This paper presents the coupled analysis method to calculate the temperature rise in a gas insulated busbar (GIB). Harmonic eddy current analysis is carried out and the power losses are calculated in the conductor and enclosure tank. Two methods are presented to analyze the temperature distribution in the conductor and tank. One is to solve the thermal conduction problem with the equivalent natural convection coefficient and is applied to a single phase GIB. The other is to employ the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tool which directly solves the thermal-fluid equations and is applied to a three-phase GIB. The accuracy of both methods is verified by the comparison of the measured and calculated temperature in a single phase and three-phase GIB.
