The behavior of the non-equilibrium grain boundary segregation of boron in low carbon steel was studied through a particle tracking autoradiography. The behavior of the non-equilibrium grain boundary segregation of boron during continuous cooling was compared with the isothermal kinetics of the non-equilibrium grain boundary segregation of boron at the holding temperature using an effective time method. On the basis of the experiments, the cooling rate dependence of the non-equilibrium segregation of boron was explained using the time dependence of the non-equilibrium segregation of boron in low carbon steel. The experimental observations for the cooling rate dependence of the grain boundary segregation of boron are in good agreement with the time dependence of the grain boundary segregation of boron. The mechanisms of the non-equilibrium segregation of boron during cooling in low carbon steel are also discussed.

In order to reduce costs of electricity energy at periods of peak demand, there has been an exponential interest in Demand Response (DR). This paper discusses the effect on the participants' behavior in response to DR. Under the assumption of perfect competition, the equilibrium point of the electricity market with DR is derived by modeling a DR curve, which is suitable for microeconomic analysis. Cournot model is used to analyze the electricity market of imperfect competition that includes strategic behavior of the generation companies. Strategic behavior with DR makes it harder to compute equilibrium point due to the non-differential function of payoff distribution. This paper presents a solution method for achieving the equilibrium point using the best response function of the strategic players. The effect of DR on the electricity market is illustrated using a test system.

Vapor-liquid equilibrium apparatus is designed and set up. The equilibrium data of two binary systems, HFC-32/143a and HFC-143a/134a, are measured. Fifteen equilibrium data for HFC-32/143a and HFC-143a/134a systems are measured over the temperature range 263.15~283.15K at 10K interval and the composition range 0.10~0.80, respectively. And vapor-liquid equilibrium data are calculated using equation of state and correlation of activity coefficient and compared with the present data. Equation of state is used CSD and RKS equations and correlation of activity coefficient is used Margules' and Van Ness and Abbott's correlations. Real behavior of HFC-32/143a system has very large deviation with Raoult's rule which is ideal behavior. But real behavior of HFC-143a/134a system is similar to ideal behavior. The calculated data from CSD equation are compared with the data in the open literatures and the calculated data from REFPROP. In the results for REFPROP, the relative deviations of bubble point pressure for HFC-32/143a system are within -2.16~0.84% for CSD equation and within -0.20~1.10% for RKS equation. And the relative deviations of bubble point pressure for HFC-143a/134a system are within -0.45~0.12% and -0.20~2.8% for CSD and RKS equations, respectively.

An important aspect of the study of power system markets involves the assessment of strategic behavior of participants for maximizing their profits. In models for imperfect competition of a deregulated system, the key tack is to find the Nash equilibrium. When the constraints are not considered in the power market, the equilibrium has the form of a pure strategy. However, the constraints are considered, the equilibrium has the form of a mired strategy. In this paper the bimatrix game approach leer finding a mixed equilibrium is analyzed. The Nash equilibrium of a mixed strategy will be used adequately for the analysis of market power.
Many studies of experimental economics have produced outcomes which contradict the predictions of Nash equilibrium, which relies heavily upon the premise of selfishness of an individual. In the games involving contexts of social conflicts represented by the prisoners' dilemma game, the experiments yields outcomes quite different from what are predicted by the conventional wisdom. In order to fill this gap between the conventional Nash Equilibrium and experimental outcomes, non-selfish (or other-regarding) motives of human behavior are introduced and then a new equilibrium concept, RAE-equilibrium is developed. It is also proved that an RAE-equilibrium exists under quite general conditions. Then it is applied to the prisoners' dilemma game that some of the experimental outcomes can be explained.
In this paper, we introduce a new algorithm for finding a solution of an equilibrium problem in a real Hilbert space. Our paper extends the single projection method to pseudomonotone variational inequalities, from a 2018 paper of Shehu et. al., to pseudomonotone equilibrium problems in a real Hilbert space. On the basis of the given algorithm for the equilibrium problem, we develop a new algorithm for finding a common solution of a equilibrium problem and fixed point problem. The strong convergence of the algorithm is established under mild assumptions. Several of fundamental experiments in finite (infinite) spaces are provided to illustrate the numerical behavior of the algorithm for the equilibrium problem and to compare it with other algorithms.

Dynamic spectrum sharing is a key technology to improve spectrum utilization in wireless networks. The elastic spectrum management provides a new opportunity for licensed primary users and unlicensed secondary users to efficiently utilize the scarce wireless resource. In this paper, we present a game-theoretic framework for dynamic spectrum allocation where the primary users rent the unutilized spectrum to the secondary users for a monetary profit. In reality, due to the ON-OFF behavior of the primary user, the quantity of spectrum that can be opportunistically shared by the secondary users is limited. We model this situation with the renewal theory and formulate the spectrum pricing scheme with the Bertrand game, taking into account the scarcity of the spectrum. By the Nash-equilibrium pricing scheme, each player in the game continually converges to a strategy that maximizes its own profit. We also investigate the impact of several properties, including channel quality and spectrum substitutability. Based on the equilibrium analysis, we finally propose a decentralized algorithm that leads the primary users to the Nash-equilibrium, called DST. The stability of the proposed algorithm in terms of convergence to the Nash equilibrium is also studied.
This paper analyzes the price-selection problem under priority-based scheduling for QoS (Quality of Service) network services, i.e., how to determine the price associated with each service level. In particular, we focus on the problems with the pricing mechanism based on equilibrium analysis. We claim that the assumptions needed to produce equilibrium nay not hold in some important environments. Specifically, (a) the individual user's impact on the system is not infinitesimal and (b) users do not always have up-to-date global system-status knowledge crucial for optimal user decisions required for equilibrium. These may make the equilibrium models inaccurate in realistic environments. We examine the accuracy of some existing equilibrium methods by using a dynamic model that we have developed for system behavior analysis. The analysis indicates that equilibrium methods fail to model accurately the system behavior in some realistic environments.

Polymeric composites exhibit highly nonlinear and rate dependent behavior during loading and unloading in off-axis directions. The equilibrium state of stress during loading is lower than the state of stress produced at finite strain rates. The amount of stress relaxation during loading decreases. Interestingly, however, the stress goes up to reach to the equilibrium state of stress for a fixed displacement during unloading. The unloading behavior is quite similar to the loading behavior. The stress relaxation patterns during loading and unloading is also similar, and those depend on the fiber orientation angles and the loading and unloading rates. The AS4/PEEK thermoplastic composite is used to characterize the relaxation behavior for different off-axis angles and loading rates. There exists a transient loading region at the beginning of unloading. The effective stress and effective plastic strain concept is used to establish a master curve of stress recovery pattern for different off-axis angles and unloading rates.
The effect of Mn and Nb additions on the electrical properties of BaTiO$_3$ has been studied by means of equilibrium electrical conductivity as a function of temperature, oxygen partial pressure(Po$_2$) and composition. If the manganese ion is added to the normal Ti site, i.e. BaTi$_{1-x}Mn_xO_{\delta-6}$, the equilibrium conductivity shows strong evidence of acceptor-doped behavior. The conductivity minimum, corresponding to the transition from oxygen excess, p-type behavior to oxygen deficient, n-type behavior with decreasing Po$_2$, is displaced to lower Po$_2$ and is broadened and flattened. The partial replacement of Mn ion with Nb decreases the acceptor-doped effect and the total replacement exhibits a typical donor-doped behavior. It was confirmed that unlike undoped or other acceptor-doped behavior. It was confirmed that unlike undoped or other acceptor-doped samples, for the p-type region, the electrical conductivity follows the 1/6th power dependence of oxygen partial pressure.
