친환경 통합 디자인 프로세스의 디자인 적용에 관한 연구 -오피스 건물을 중심으로- (A Study on Design Application of Eco-Friendly Integrated Design Process)

  • This Study, as a Eco-Friendly Design Process of Office for sustainable design, aims to develop a sustainable design process by letting the designers easily approach the concept of Eco-Friendly Design Process and applying this to Eco-Friendly Design Process when the designers perform design. Through a review on simulation, a research was made on the seriousness of environmental problems and control that was caused by design, Environmentally friendly design, sustainability, and sustainable design's background and definition were studied. In order to develop a Eco-Friendly Design Process, an existing review from Building Energy Simulation that proposed about energy environmentally friendly design element and sustainable design element's semantic similarities were restructured as sustainable design element comparative analysis. Restructured sustainable design elements and the relationship between sustainable design elements and the relationship of each product developmental process levels were analyzed. Finally, through clustering, sustainable design guideline were developed. This Eco-Friendly Design Process is expected to be applied to as one of the methods in solving the global environmental issues in design practice.

학교급식의 친환경 농산물 품질관리에 관한 통계적 연구 (A Statistical Study on the Quality Control of Environment-friendly Agricultural Products in School Meal)

  • This study was performed in order to examine the statistical quality control of environmentally-friendly agricultural products(EF AP) and they using school meal service whether to be influences to EF AP recognition of it's parents. As a results of above research, we can make a conclusion the elementary and middle school meal service using the EF AP leads to the recognition change to parents affirmatively in Jeollanam-do.

One-Way Error Component Regression Model을 활용한 도시지역 수재해 취약성 변화의 실증연구 (A Study on the Changes of Flood Vulnerability in Urban Area Using One-Way Error Component Regression Model)

  • This Study aims to demonstrate how much flood vulnerability in urban area changed for the past 32 years by using the panel model. At the same time, this study strives to determine the primary factors and to construct an effective counter-plan by means of empirical research. After selecting research hypotheses based on considerations of issues concerning causes for urban flooding, their relevance is put to the test by conducting empirical research in individual case locations. This research verifies the four research hypotheses by using one-way error component regression model. In conclusion, this research has shown that urban land use and local characteristics act as significant flood determinants, with forests acting to reduce flood dangers. Moreover, constructing embankments can no longer represent a reliable flood control policy. The changes in future flood control policies need to incorporate local characteristics and to minimize natural destruction, so that humans and nature can coexist through environmentally friendly flood management policies.

자단향으로부터 밀 붉은곰팡이병균 Fusarium graminearum에 대한 항진균활성 물질의 분리 및 특성 규명 (Isolation and Characterization of Antifungal Metabolites from Pterocarpus santalinus against Fusarium graminearum Causing Fusarium Head Blight on Wheat)

  • 붉은곰팡이병은 주로 Fusarium graminearum에 의해 발생하며 전세계적으로 주요 곡물에 치명적인 피해를 주는 식물병이다. 관행농가에서는 일반적으로 붉은곰팡이병 방제에 합성살균제를 사용하고 있지만 장기적인 합성살균제의 사용으로 인하여 환경 오염 문제와 인간의 건강을 위협하는 문제가 야기되었다. 때문에 천연물살균제를 포함한 친환경 생물농약 개발에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 100종의 식물추출물을 이용하여 F. graminearum에 항진균 활성을 갖는 식물 추출물을 탐색하였다. 그 결과 자단 심재부인 자단향의 조추출물이 가장 강한 항진균활성을 보였으며, GC-MS 분석을 통하여 자단향으로부터 ${\alpha}$-cedrol과 widdrol로 동정된 두개의 항진균 활성물질을 분리하였다. ${\alpha}$-Cedrol과 widdrol의 F. graminearum 포자발아 억제활성 최소저해농도는 각각 31.25 mg/l과 62.5 mg/l였으며, 이 두 물질은 F. graminearum 이외에도 다양한 식물병원균의 균사 생육을 저해하였다. 더욱이 자단향 추출물을 분말 수화제로 제형화하여 처리한 결과, 밀 붉은 곰팡이병에 대한 방제효과는 유효성분 농도가 높을수록 효과적인 방제가를 보였으며, 250배 희석처리 시 2,000배의 상용농도로 희석한 합성살균제의 방제가(92.6%)와 통계적으로 유사한 87.2%의 병방제가를 보였다. 본 연구결과는 붉은곰팡이병방제를 위한 효과적인 생물살균제로 자단향 추출물이 활용 가능하다는 것을 제시하고 있다.

친환경적 밤 종실해충 방제 연구 (Study on Chestnut Insect Pests by Environmentally Friendly Controls in Korea)

  • 밤 종실의 생산량과 재배 농가의 소득증대를 위한 친환경적 방제 기술을 보급하고자 밤의 주 생산지인 경상남도 밤나무 집단 재배지에서 몇 가지 친환경적인 방법으로 처리하였다. 그 결과, 복숭아명나방(Dichocrocis punctiferalis)의 피해율은 조생종(단택, 삼조생)의 경우, 웜스톱 처리구에서 피해율이 7.76%로 가장 낮았고, 웜스톱+목초액, 포충등 처리구 순으로 증가였다. 중생종(유마, 축파)의 피해율은 웜스톰 처리구에서 13.39%로 가장 낮았으며, 만생종(박미, 은기)은 피해율간 유의차가 있었다(p<0.05). 처리별 방제가는 조생종, 만생종 밤의 웜스톱 처리구에서 각각 40.49%, 41.89%로 가장 높았다. 밤바구미(Curculio sikkimensis)의 피해율은 조생종과 중생종 밤에서 낮았으며, 숙기별 처리간의 유의차가 없었다(p>0.05). 만생종 밤에서의 피해율은 웜스톱과 이미다클로프리드 처리구가 15.38%로 가장 피해율이 낮았으며, 항공방제, 웜스톱, 포충등 처리구 순이었다. 밤바구미(Curculio sikkimensis)에 대한 처리별 방제가는 조생종과 중생종에서는 낮았고, 만생종의 웜스톱과 이미다클로프리드, 항공방제 처리구에서 방제가는 각각 34.59%, 28.94%였다.

  • Due to the increasing interest in preserving environment, many environmentally friendly canal consolidation methods has been developed. Those methods, however, tend to focus more on the scenery than on the control of water. Thus, the safety of such methods are need to be studied more profoundly. In this study, the hydraulic examination of applied environmentally friendly methods using HEC-RAS model considering roughness coefficient and shear force in a canal is done to present the hydraulic safety of each methods. Further more, vegetations distribution characteristics and maintenance methods of channel are investigated.

Effect of a Bacterial Grass Culture on the Plant Growth and Disease Control in Tomato

  • This study aimed to investigate the plant growth-promoting and biocontrol potential of a grass culture with Paenibacillus ehimensis KWN8 on tomato. For this experiment, treatments of a chemical fertilizer (F), a bacterial grass culture (G), a 1/3 volume of G plus 2/3 F (GF), and F plus a synthetic fungicide (FSf) were applied to tomato leaves and roots. The result showed that the severity of Alternaria solani and Botrytis cinerea symptoms were significantly reduced after the application of the bacterial grass culture (G and GF) and FSf. In addition, root mortality in G and GF was lower compared to F. Tomato plants treated with G or GF had better vegetative growth and yield compared to F. Application of G affected the fungal and bacterial populations in the soil. In conclusion, treatment with a bacterial grass culture decreased disease severity and increased tomato growth parameters. However, there were no statistically significant correlations between disease occurrence and tomato yields. This experiment presents the possibility to manage diseases of tomato in an environmentally friendly manner and to also increase the yield of tomato by using a grass culture broth containing P. ehimensis KWN38.

Identification and Characterization of Novel Biocontrol Bacterial Strains

  • Because bacterial isolates from only a few genera have been developed commercially as biopesticides, discovery and characterization of novel bacterial strains will be a key to market expansion. Our previous screen using plant bioassays identified 24 novel biocontrol isolates representing 12 different genera. In this study, we characterized the 3 isolates showing the best biocontrol activities. The isolates were Pantoea dispersa WCU35, Proteus myxofaciens WCU244, and Exiguobacterium acetylicum WCU292 based on 16S rRNA sequence analysis. The isolates showed differential production of extracellular enzymes, antimicrobial activity against various fungal or bacterial plant pathogens, and induced systemic resistance activity against tomato gray mold disease caused by Botrytis cinerea. E. acetylicum WCU292 lacked strong in vitro antimicrobial activity against plant pathogens, but induced systemic resistance against tomato gray mold disease. These results confirm that the trait of biological control is found in a wide variety of bacterial genera.

Incidence and Distribution of Barley yellow dwarf virus Infecting Oats in Korea

  • A survey of Barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) was conducted in major oat-growing areas of Korea in 2020. BYDV is an economically important pathogen of cereal crops that can be transmitted by aphids. The present study evaluated the genetic composition of BYDV in oat from eight geographical areas in Korea. Multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was used to screen 322 oat leaf samples for six BYDV strains (PAV, MAV, SGV, PAS, RPV, and RMV). The 125 samples (~39%) tested positive for BYDV. BYDV-PAV, BYDV-SGV, BYDV-PAS, and BYDV-RPV were detected from oat in different areas. Most of the BYDV-infected samples were assigned to subgroup I (n=112). The results indicate that BYDV-PAV could be dominant throughout Korea. Also, the phylogenetic analysis of coat protein sequences indicated that 23 BYDV isolates from Korea could be separated into two clades, which exhibited high nucleotide sequence similarity. In conclusion, the present survey provides a BYDV infection assessment for domestic oat varieties in Korea and basic information for the development of BYDV control measures in Korea's oat industry.
