도시 환경음의 음질 평가 (Evaluation of Sound Quality for Urban Environmental Sound)

  • This study performed an physical analysis on the characteristics of urban environmental sound divided into three parts depending on their features. Object sounds were classified into traffic sound, waster sound and spatial sound. Traffice sound was selected because it is dominant sound in urban environment, and water sound is selected because it generally supplies pleasantness in contrast to traffic sound, Finally spatial sound was considered because it represents sound in various places of city having lots of behaviors and types of sound due to them. Physcal analysis was carried out using sound quality indices based on Zwicker's loudness, $L_{Aeq}$(equivalent noise level), Ln(percentile noise level) and other acoutical attributes applied to previous study. Through the analysis, this study aims to compare the acoustical characteristics of urban environmental sound and to provide fundamental data for the evaluation of urban environmental sound.

친환경 요소로서의 경관과 그에 어울리는 소리의 선택 (The Selection of the Scenery and Sound as the Environmental Friendly Elements)

  • In this research, how the evaluation of the spacial image influenced by the environmental friendly elements included in the visual information, and how the selection of the sound changed depending on the characteristics of spatial image by the 40 subjects were carried out. Vast tracts of green land and the waterfront were highly preferred and impressive than the other spaces. The green music, signal with water sound and bird chirping sound were highly scored. In the frequency characteristics of the factors, the first factor was artificial sound(high at the low frequency band), the second was natural sound(uniform at all frequency band) and the third was water sound(high at the middle and high frequency band over 500Hz). This shows that the proposal of the sound which has the frequency characteristics fit to the spacial image should be selected for the soundscape of the target space.

  • This study aims to induce acoustic environmental characteristics which could be used for soundscape design by carrying out factor analysis on sound source image and cognition analysis on subjects' responses on selective questions due to class differences. The results of this study are as follows ; Satisfaction rate differences on exterior acoustic environment due to sensitivity and residence year were revealed. After factor analysis of living sound sources' image, it is known that natural sound, traditional sound, socials traffic sound, rural sound, religious sound and the others are main factors. Social traffic sound is the most one that should be eliminated and traditional sound is selected as a most Korean-like sound. Natural sound is evaluated as the most one that should be preserved and the most retrospectively one.

  • In apartment buildings, floor-impact sound has bean regarded as the major source which induces complaints from residents. It is mainly due to the use of light-weight structures. The vibration produced by impact on one part of an apartment building would travel as far as the other parts of structure with a little alleviation. As a result, the impact sound from upstairs has been regarded as a main source of noise causing discontentment among occupants. This study was carried out to measure the floor-impact sound levels and evaluate the insulation performance of floor-impact sound for nine apartment buildings. The floor-impact sound levels were measured for twenty-five On-dol floor structures and various factors which influence the floor-impact sound were analyzed.

  • 소음에 대한 인간의 심리적 인지는 소음의 여러 가지 물리적 요인에 의하여 영향을 받는다. 그러나 현재의 환경소음 평가는 A 가중치 등가 소음 수준을 기준으로 평가되고 있으며 인간의 다양한 감성적 요인을 반영하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 환경소음 평가를 위하여 환경소음원 43개에 대하여 주관평가와 통계적 분석방법을 사용하여 인간의 감성에 영향을 주는 음질인자 (Sound quality factor)를 분석하였다. 분석방법은 먼저 다양한 환경소음원에 대한 음질물리량 (Sound quality metrics)을 분석하여 음원을 분류하였으며 분류된 음원의 주된 음질 물리량을 고찰하였다. 그리고 쌍대비교법 (Paired comparisons method)과 어의분별척도법 (Semantic differential method)을 사용하여 주관 평가를 실시하고 음질의 요인을 분석하였으며 물리량과의 관계를 규명하였다. 마지막으로 요인에 대한 물리량의 기여도를 분석함으로써 환경소음의 감성적 인지에 대한 기초 물리량을 설정하였다.

도심 공원의 소리연출에 의한 사운드스케이프 개선 효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the effect of soundscape with providing sound in urban parks)

  • This study is an experimental study to introduce the soundscape design for urban parks. subjective response to soundscape for 4 urban park are carried out using 7 scale S.D. method which are included 25 adjective pairs. In order to recognized the effect environmental sound(bird singing, sweet environmental music, nature sound) for enriching the present sondscape, this study analyse the subject response for soundscape after and before using the environmental sound. The degree of satisfaction for visual atmosphere is higher than for auditory atmosphere of parks, this means that visual clues are much more effective to the environment condition than auditory clues. The effect of using the environmental sound is positive and effective to enrich the soundscape. On providing environmental sounds, it is necessary to consider the charcteristics of urban parks.

재생 자원의 흡음특성에 관한 연구 -폐지와 담배필터를 중심으로- (Study on the Sound Absorbing Characteristics of Recycled Materials -Based on used Paper and Cigarette Filters-)

  • In this study, development of new sound absorbent which is safety, economical and efficient with using recycled materials is tried for substitution of commercial sound absorbent. The sound absorbents, used in this investigation, were made of used paper or filters of cigarette butts. With the variation of the material densities, sound absorptions of materials were measured. The impedance tube method is used for measuring sound absorption coefficient of the new sound absorbent materials. The measured frequency range was 250Hz to 4000Hz in 1/3 octave band. The sound absorption coefficient of the commercial materials and that of the materials synthesized in the our laboratory show almost same value.

Flyash를 이용한 블록의 흡음특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Sound Absorption of Flyash Blocks)

  • The blocks using flyash were prepared in this study. The characteristic of sound absorption of flyash block was investigated. It was revealed that the chemical additives and flyash played an important role to determine the characteristic of sound absorption. Chemical additive affects the capability of sound absorption while flyash affects the characteristic of sound absorption, i.e. high value of the sound absorption coefficient at the specific frequencies(1KHz and 2KHz). The flyash block showed higher sound absorption coefficient than that of the commercial concrete block having carpet on the surface. It was also shown that the sound absorption coefficient increases with increase of the content of flyash in the block. However, it was found that the 70wt% of flyash in the flyash block was the optimum content to obtain the highest sound absorption coefficient.

터널 내부의 도로교통소음 (Road Traffic Noise in Tunnel)

  • This paper describes the impact of reflected sound in tunnel. The impact of reflected sound is obtained from making a comparision between measurements of tunnel and bridge. Sound level of tunnel is higher than that of bridge because reflected sound is generated in tunnel. Road traffic noise cannot be freely propagated because there are many buildings in urban. Therefore, a tunnel effect is generated in urban road. The impact of reflected sound is generated not only in tunnel, but also in urban road. This study provides the basic data for tunneling work and noise control strategy in urban road.
