십전대보탕의 장기보관 중 품질변화 (Quality Variation of Sibjeondaebotang according to Long-term Storage)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate of quality variation of Sibujeondaebotang according to storage period and temperature (5 and $25^{\circ}C$) Identificaion test, pH, specific gravity, heavy metal, microbial limit test and glycyrrhizic acid, paeoniflorin content of Sibjeondaebotang were performed during 12 months. The significant change was not shown on identificaion test, specific gravity, microbial limit test under long term storage and the result suited a safe level standards of 'Korean National Standard of Traditional Medicinal (Herbal and Botanical) Materials - "Sibjeondaebotang"'. The test of pH showed meaningful changes between two storage temperature (5 and $25^{\circ}C$) according to increasing storage period. The contents of glycyrrhizic acid and paeoniflorin had no relation with storage temperature($5^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$) but it showed a tendency to decrease according to the length of storage period. We predicted shelf-life of glycyrrhizic acid and paeoniflorin at storgae temperature(5 and $25^{\circ}C$) as about 6 and 3 months, respecttively. Therefore considering glycyrrhizic acid and paeoniflorin, sibjeondaebotang is determined to be in good condition within 3 months, regardless of the room temperature and refrigerated temperature. We were expected to serve as a basis for the guideline of medication counseling sibjeondaebotang.

Assessment of Autoxidative Resistance for Organic Solvent by Pressure Monitoring Test

  • In the recycle process of organic solvent, the atmospheric oxygen can cause autoxidation and product peroxide. The time-saving method to evaluate the hazards has been required. In this study, oxygen pressure monitoring experiment was proposed as a new method to evaluate autoxidative resistances of solvents. Some of organic solvents were pressurized by oxygen and kept under isothermal condition. At the same time, the pressure in the vessel tracked. Iodometrical titration, thermal analysis and spectroscopic analysis were performed to measure peroxide concentration, the heat of reaction and chemical bonding change. From the results that THF has larger oxygen consumption rate than CPME, it is considered that autoxidative resistance of THF is lower than that of CPME. This method enables to obtain results in shorter time than other methods. These experimental results were consistent with the previous research with longer test durations [1-2].

  • A bacterium CGH18 exhibiting antioxidizing and chitin-degrading activities in the colloidal chitin culture medium was isolated from salt-fermented crab. This strain was identified as Bacillus idriensis based on 16S rDNA sequence homology search. Its crude extract was partitioned between n-BuOH and $H_2O$. The organic layer was further partitioned between $CH_2$ $Cl_2$ and $H_2O$. Antioxidant activities of crude extract and its solvent fractions were evaluated using five different bioassay methods, including the degree of occurrence of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), peroxynitrite scavenging (ONOO), and oxidative damage of genomic DNA. All fractions exhibited significant antioxidant activity in bioassay systems used.

유통 화장품 중 내분비계 장애물질 탐색 및 규명에 관한 연구 (The analysis of endocrine distruptors in commercial cosmetics)

  • This study aims to identify the characteristics of phthalates (DMP, DEP, DBP, DEHA, BBP, DEHP, and DNOP) and heavy metals such as lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and mercury (Hg) in cosmetics and their containers. Phthalates and heavy metals may be endocrine distruptors. Sixty-five cosmetics were purchased from online and offline stores in Busan. This study developed a simultaneous method for the analysis of phthalates by GC-FID. The results showed that among the 65 cosmetics, DBP, DEHP, and DEP were detected at 20.0%, 7.7%, 1.5%, respectively. The amounts of DBP and DEHP detected in 18 samples were less than 100 μg/g, which satisfies the Regulations of Cosmetic Safety Standards in Korea. In order to detect phthalates in cosmetic containers, a dissolution test was conducted by extracting solutions, such as water, n-heptane, 20% ethanol, 50% ethanol and 4% acetic acid, which were prepared with different levels of pH, alcohol content, and fat content following the Korea Standards and Specifications for Utensils, Containers, and Packaging. The results showed that DMP, DBP, DEHA, BBP, DEHP, and DNOP were not detected, DEP was detected in plastics such as PE, PP, and others, when a 50% alcohol solvent was used. Phthalates may not be detected in cosmetic containers if they are not packaged with the above 20% alcohol constituent. We also analyzed the concentration of heavy metals, such as Pb, Cd, and Hg, by using ICP-OES and a mercury analyzer. The ranges of concentration were ND~2.71 μg/g for Pb, ND~0.31 μg/g for Cd, and ND~0.01 μg/g for Hg, which are below the regulated level.

  • The synthesis of ester type, banana-shaped, photo - crosslinkable mesogens is described. The reactive mesogens, derivatives of 1,3-phenylene bis{4-[4'- (alken-1-yloxy)-biphenyl-4-carboxylate]benzoate}s, were synthesized varying the length of alkyl end groups. The obtained monomers and polymers were characterized by FT/IR, NMR spectroscopy, DSC, polarized optical microscopy, and X-ray diffractometry.

  • Secure execution environment는 안전한 컴퓨팅 시스템의 실행환경을 의미한다. 컴퓨터 시스템을 포함해서 프로세서를 가지고 있는 모든 종류의 단말이 secure execution enviroment 관련 연구의 대상이 될 수 있다. 기본적인 컴퓨팅 환경의 보안 수준을 높여주는 secure execution enviroment는 이미 많은 연구가 진행된 분야로 본 문서에서는 이와 관련된 연구 및 기술개발 동향에 대해서 알아본다. 또한 대학교에서 진행된 대표적인 프로젝트와 프로세서 제조업체의 기술 동향 및 관련된 산업 표준화 동향을 살펴보고 비교 분석하는 것을 목표로 한다.

부산지역에서 유행한 계절인플루엔자바이러스의 유전자 특성 및 계통분석('06-'08 절기) (Molecular Characterization and Phylogenetic Analysis of Season Influenza Virus Isolated in Busan during the 2006-2008 Seasons)

  • 2006년 10월부터 2008 년 6월까지 총 인플루엔자 의사 환자 1,822건의 인후도찰물 및 비인후도찰물에서 277건의 인플루엔자바이러스를 분리했다. 절기별로는 2006~2007 절기의 1,154검체 중 52건(4.5%), 2007~2008절기의 668검체 중 210건(31.4%)에서 인플루엔자바이러스를 분리하였다. 인플루엔자바이러스 A/H1N1의 HA 유전자의 경우, 2008~2009 절기의 백신주인 A/Brisbane/59/2007과는 96.7%~97.7%, A/Solomon Islands/3/2006 96.5%~97.3%, A/New Caledonia/20/99와는 95.6%~96.6%의 유사성을 나타냈으며, NA 유전자의 경우, A/Brisbane/59/2007과는 97.8%~98.5%, A/Solomon Islands/3/2006과는 96.7%~97.6%, A/New Caledonia/20/99와는 96.8%~97.7%의 유사성을 보여 2008~2009절기의 백신주인 A/Brisbane/59/07과 가장 유사성이 컸다. 인플루엔자바이러스 A/H3N2의 분리주 중 1주를 제외한 모든 분리주가 HA 유전자에서 2008~2009 절기 백신주인 A/Brisbane/10/2007과는 98.4%~99.7%의 유사성을 보였고, A/Wisconsin/67/2005와는 96.5%~97.5%의 유사성을 보였으며, NA 유전자에서는 A/Brisbane/10/2007과는 98.9%~99.4%, A/Wisconsin/67/2005와는 98.0%~98.6%, A/California/7/2004와는 98.3%~98.9%의 유사성을 보였다. 인플루엔자바이러스 B의 HA 유전자의 경우는 2주를 제외하고는 2008~2009 절기의 백신주인 B/Florida/4/2006과는 96.5%~99.7%의 유사성을 보였으며, B/Malaysia/2506/2004와는 86.7%~87.7%의 유사성을 보여 B/Florida/4/2006과의 유사성이 크게 나타났다. NA 유전자의 경우는 reassortant분리주가 96.7%와 97.3%의 유사성을 나타내는 것을 제외하고는 B/Florida/4/2006에 98.9%~100%의 유사성을 나타냈으며, 분리주 유행시기의 백신주인 B/Malaysia/2506/2004와는 94.5%~96.7%의 유사성을 나타내어 2008~2009 절기의 백신주와 더 큰 유사성을 보였다. HA 유전자에서는 conserverd receptor binding site는 아미노산의 치환 없이 모든 분리주에서 잘 보존되어 있었으며, N-linked glycosylation site도 인플루엔자바이러스 A/H1 1주, A/H3 1주를 제외하고는 모두 같은 수의 N-linked glycosylation sites를 가졌으며, 인플루엔자바이러스 B의 경우는 2008~2009 절기의 백신주보다 1개가 많은 4개의 N-linked glycosylation sites를 가지고 있었다. Antigenic sites의 경우는 인플루엔자바이러스 A/H1의 Sb의 3개의 아미노산에서 백신주들과 다른 아미노산을 가지고 있으며, A/H3에서는 A, B, E 부위에서 는 아미노산의 변화가 나타났고, C, D 부위에서는 변화가 없었다. 인플루엔자바이러스 B의 4개의 분리주에서는 150 loop와 160 loop에서 B/Florida/4/2006과 비교하여 1개의 아미노산에서 치환이 나타났으며, 190 helix에서 모든 분리주가 B/Florida/4/2006과 비교하여 1개의 아미노산에서 치환이 나타났다.
