  • Creativity is a rising topic in the current society. The emphasis on creativity is valued as a key factor for success in all areas including but not limited to politics, economy, culture, arts and design. The field of Fashion design is probably one of the few areas that talk about creativity as a necessary quality to survive. The purpose of this study is to introduce TRIZ(Teoriya Reshniya Izobretatelsskikh Sadatch) as a theoretical tool to generate creativity in fashion design. TRIZ is a creative method of problem solving based on data analysis of outcomes invented by engineering. The fundamental concept of TRIZ has been researched through documentary studies, and practical case studies of product designs are used. Fashion design cases from Comme des Garcons by Rei Kawakubo are used to apply TRIZ in fashion design. Rei Kawakubo's design philosophy has been studied through fashion writings and visual sources in books, exhibition catalog, www. style. com and online shopping mall sites. This study has selected four principles among forty inventive theories of TRIZ: segmentation; asymmetry; consolidation; and preliminary action to apply to Rei Kawakubo's fashion design. As a result, TRIZ can be applicable to fashion design as a creative thinking methodology. By using the four principles of TRIZ, this study shows how Rei Kawakubo's design enhanced its efficiency and aesthetics of the products and was distinguished from existing items. It is meaningful to demonstrate a possibility of adopting engineering based creative methodology in fashion design to widen the perspective and to raise a question for the need of interdisciplinary creative methodology with traditional aesthetic approach in fashion design.

  • With the help of the cooperative efforts made in the interdisciplinary studies among the different fields of computers, textiles and computer in the modem society based on knowledge-information, Smart Clothing, which is the combination of wearable Technology and clothing has been drawn. This study is to inspect the design of Smart school uniform, which if based on Wearable Technology, to meet the need for the PDG(Post Digital Generation) who want to require rapid and the convenient information. This study is aimed to quest for the direction of study in Wearable Technology through theoretical studies made in the field the Computer information communications Engineering, seminars in the field of Smart Textile and documentary study. In addition to them, this study is to search for the value for the school uniform in the PDG who are a group of potential consumers for the Smart Clothing, the environment in digitalized life and the need for the Wearable Technology. Based on this research, the concept of design reflecting the need for the characteristic and functions in the PDG was drawn and Design Prototype of Smart Jacket on the base of Wearable Technology was presented.

  • In recent years, many efforts are increasingly being made to conserve the natural environment with enhanced emission standards and air quality standards. Also there are various methods necessary to be researched to minimize the emission of air pollutants. In particular, boilers of industrial facilities are major portions of the air pollution. The front duct which needs to be designed to reduce the gases to the electrostatic precipitator requires a bent tube, a reduction/extend tube and an auxiliary equipment, that is, a guide vane. This paper proposes an optimum design of the guide vane by a case study for electrostatic precipitator's flow uniformity. The operating conditions of this study are as follows: BMCR (Boiler Maximum Continuous Rate) and MGR (Maximum Guaranteed Rate) are 75%, 50%, and 30%; turbulent fluid dynamics model is based upon K-${\varepsilon}$ formulation. Presentation of the computed motion of particles is found to be quite useful to predict the precipitator performance by use CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).

  • 현대는 시스템화되고 융합화되어가는 시대이다. 시스템이 다른 시스템과 모여 융합되고, 이들이 다시 커다란 형태의 시스템으로 융합되어 다시금 하나의 거대한 시스템이 되곤 한다. 전자소자는 개별소자시대를 지나 소자들이 융합되어 시스템으로 통합되는가 하면 반도체집적화로 시스템화되고 있다. 이 연구는 전자공학 2년제 교육과정을 시대에 따라 시스템 및 반도체 설계 특성화의 방향으로 모듈화하고 학제간의 유기적인 융합을 고려하여 재구성하였다. 이 교육과정은 다학기제의 모듈화 모델로 개발하여 산학연계 현장교육 및 심화교육 등을 가능토록 개발하였다.

  • In the shipyard, a lot of data is generated, stored, and managed during design, construction, and operation phases to build ships and offshore structures. However, it is difficult to handle such big data efficiently using existing data-handling technologies. As the big data technology is developed, the ship and offshore industries start to focus on the existing big data to find valuable information from it. In this paper, the material requirement estimation method of offshore structure piping materials using big data analysis is proposed. A big data platform for the data analysis in the shipyard is introduced and it is applied to the analysis of material requirement estimation to solve the problems in piping design by a designer. The regression model is developed from the big data of piping materials and verified using the existing data. This analysis can help a piping designer to estimate the exact amount of material requirement and schedule the purchase time.

  • A multi-parameter neuro muscular electrical simulator (NMES) system was developed to be used to find the optimal parameter condition in obtaining maximum muscle power and minimal fatigue. Since the performance of NMES is mainly determined by the characteristic of its output-stage circuit, we implemented 3 different circuits and compared output characteristics of them. Three amplifier circuits are; 1) a resonant switching converter, 2) a linear amplifier with a transformer, and 3) a step-up DC/DC converter with a high-voltage linear amplifier. Experimental results showed that the step up DC/DC converter with a high-voltage linear amplifier has the best performance.

  • 최근, Industry과 IoT 기기의 보급으로 인하여 수많은 센서와 액추에이터, 모바일 기기 등이 Cyber-Physical System을 통해 네트워크와 연결되며, 더 효율적인 시스템을 요규한다. 이를 위하여, EdgeX와 SDN을 활용하여 빠르고 효율적인 네트워크 서비스를 제공한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CPS 기반의 Reinforcement Learning을 활용한 Rotary Inverted Pendulum System을 통해 실시간으로 빠르고 안전한 네트워크 서비스를 제공할 수 CPS 아키텍처를 구현한다.

  • 이 논문은 클로브스라는 가상 환경 저작도구를 개발하게 된 동기, 시스템 구조, 그리고 사례 연구를 보여주고 있다. 클로브스는 어린 아이들의 과학적 탐구 능력을 키워주기 위해 측정할 데이터가 많은 가상 환경을 쉽고 빠르게 만들 수 있도록 지원해주는 저작도구이다 클로브스는 다양한 프로그래밍 능력을 가지고 있는 사용자들을 위해 세 가지 단계의 (비주얼 인터페이스, 스크립팅, 그리고 저수준의 프로그래밍 인터페이스) 개발 기법을 제공한다. 클로브스는 또한 교육자와 삼차원 모델링 디자이너, 그리고 프로그래머를 연결해주는 협업 도구로 사용할 수 있도록 디자인되었다. 클로브스의 가능성과 효능을 확인하기 위한 사례 연구가 진행되었다. 그 연구 결과는 가상환경 개발하는 과정에서 선생님과 프로그래머를 포함한 모든 디자이너들의 적극적인 참여를 보여주고 있다.

  • Optimization has been successfully applied to systems with a single discipline. As many disciplines are involved in coupled fashion, MDO (multidisciplinary design optimization) technology has been developed. MDO algorithms are trying to solve the coupled aspects generated from interdisciplinary relationship. In a general MDO algorithms, a large design problem is decomposed into small ones which can be easily solved. Although various methods have been proposed for MDO, the research is still in the early stage. This research proposes a new MDO method which is named as MDOIS (Multidisciplinary Design Optimization Based on Independent Subspaces). Many real engineering problems consist of physically separate components and they can be independently designed. The inter-relationship occurs through coupled physics. MDOIS is developed for such problems. In MDOIS, a large system is decomposed into small subsystems. The coupled aspects are solved via system analysis which solves the coupled physics. The algorithm is mathematically validated by showing that the solution satisfies the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker condition.

국내 플랜트 엔지니어링 산업의 건축공학 분야 기술인력 수급을 위한 대학교육 개선에 관한 연구 (Improvement of University Education for Supplying Technical Manpower for Plant Engineering Industry in the Architectural Engineering Field)

  • In this study, improvement of university education is suggested so that university graduates in Architectural Engineering can work in the plant engineering industry without major retraining, which is generally required by plant engineering companies. Before the disposition of manpower to a plant engineering site, new recruits are retrained for about 2~3 years, since university education is neither sufficient, nor appropriate to handle plant engineering tasks. It is necessary to implement practical plant engineering into university education, so that graduates can work effectively in plant engineering fields, without major retraining. For a case study of an S2 University located in Seoul, it is enough to supplement the interdisciplinary program with plant engineering subjects, if proper texts are developed. To replace the plant engineering education offered by the company with university education, the following measures should be taken. First, basic plant engineering should be taught for 15 hours. Second, education on design and drawings should be reinforced.
