원추 지수가 트랙터 작업 부하에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Cone Index on the Work Load of the Agricultural Tractor)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the soil cone index (CI) on the tractor work load. A load measurement system was constructed for measuring the field data. The field sites were divided into grids (3×3 m), and the cone index was measured at the center of each grid. The work load measured through the plow tillage was matched with the soil cone index. The matched data were grouped at 600 kPa intervals based on the cone index. The work load according to the cone index was analyzed for engine, axle, and traction load, respectively. The results showed that when the cone index increased, engine torque decreased by up to 9%, and the engine rotational speed and brake-specific fuel consumption increased by up to 5% and 3%, respectively. As the cone index increased, the traction and tillage depth were inversely proportional to the cone index, decreasing 7% and 18%, respectively and the traction and tillage depth were directly proportional to the cone index, increasing 13% and 12%, respectively. Thus, it was found that the cone index had a major influence on the engine, axle, and traction loads of the tractor.

  • The multi-driver off-road vehicle drive-line consists of many components, with close connections among them. In order to design and analyze the drive-line efficiently, a modular methodology should be taken. The aim of a modular approach to the modeling of complex systems is to support behavior analysis and simulation in an iterative and thus complex engineering process, by using encapsulated submodels of components and of their interfaces. Multi-driver off-road vehicles are comparatively complicated. The driving-line is an important core part to the vehicle, it has a significant contribution to the performance. Multi-driver off-road vehicles have complex driving-lines, so performance is heavily dependent on the driving-line. A typical off-road vehicle's driving-line system consists of a torque converter, transmission, transfer case and driving-axles, which transfers the power generated by the engine and distributes it effectively to the driving wheels according to the road condition. According to its main function, this paper proposes a modularized approach for design and evaluation of the vehicle's driving-line. It can be used to effectively estimate the performance of the driving-line during the concept design stage. Through an appropriate analysis and assessment method, an optimal design can be reached. This method has been applied to practical vehicle design, it can improve the design efficiency and is convenient to assess and validate the performance of a vehicle, especially of multi-driver off-road vehicles.

  • 체결클러치에 부착된 댐퍼스프링은 유체커플링에서 직결로 변환될 때 발생하는 엔진 토크의 진동을 흡수하는 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 체결클러치의 성능을 좌우하는 압축스프링 및 지지 판 구조물의 최적설계를 통해서 새로운 설계형상을 제안하였다. 체결클러치와 연결된 엔진, 변속기, 구동축 및 휠, 차체질량 등 주요 부품들을 다 포함하는 다물체 동역학모델을 구성하여 공진 회피에 필요한 스프링상수를 계산하였다. 또한 어닐링 모사법에 의한 스프링 최적설계코드를 개발한 후 스프링상수, 최대충격토크, 수축각도, 스프링개수, 피로강도 등을 입력하여 압축 스프링의 사양을 최적화하였다. 이들 스프링을 지지하는 3 가지의 판에 대해서 컴플라이언스를 최소화하고 체적비를 0.3 이하로 하는 위상최적화를 수행하여 새로운 형상을 제안하였다.

  • In South Korea since 1970s the rapid development of economic growth has brought about "Urbanization" in many areas and also raised the level of people's life in many ways. At the same time, however, the industrialization and overpopulated districts in many areas have caused the problems of air pollution in necessary. Among those air pollution, in particular, in large cities has become more serious since 1990s than before. Air pollution, like TSP and SO$_{x}$ caused by heating, generation of electric power and industrialization in 1980s, showed as that of the type of an underdeveloping country and was not hazardous enough to people in the least. Unfortunately, in 1990s NO$_{x}$, CO and O$_{3}$ caused by the soaring numbers of many types of cars have exhausted air pollutant more hazardous as the same air pollution type of many developed countries. So, the purpose of this study would be to analyze the changes of concentration of NO$_{x}$ and CO on environmental air by traffic volume and from the side drive way to the degree of distance in Sungnam City, and recognize the citizens' consciousness to air pollution and suggest the best walking point in part, and plan to design the reasonable use of cars and finally make the air quality improve toward the better-ment in part. From the research result we can know that people walking in the street would be protected from the hazardous air pollutant caused by the cats if they walk apart from a drive way as far as they can in the street. Accordingly, it might, to minimize th affect of air pollution, be thought to be desirable that the consideration of in introduction the system that the vehicle using the diesel engine motor should use the centered-lane aparted from road. Another to be desirable is that along side the road, the trees inhaled the pollution should be planted.

차량 NVH개선 설계를 위한 샤시 구동계의 Driveline Test Bench 구성 및 CAE 해석 (Modeling and CAE Simulation of Chassis Driveline Test Bench for Vehicle NVH Improvement)

  • The authors have investigated the NVH problems of drive system in full vehicle test. However it is difficult to define the NVH problems of driveline system. Since it is hard to measure the rotating part and it is vague that only the drive system induces the NVH problem. Vibration in a driveline is presented in this paper. In the experiment, the rear sub-frame and propeller shafts and axle were composed and mounted with rubber each other. For applying the vibration input instead of the torsional vibration effect of an engine, the shaker was taken. In particular, torsional vibration due to fluctuating forced vibration excitation across the joint between driveline and rear sub-frame was carefully examined. Accordingly, the joint response was checked from experiments and the FE-simulation using FRF (frequency response function) analysis was performed. All test results were signal processed and validated against numerical simulations. In present study, the new test bench for measuring the vibration signal and simulating the vehicle chassis system was proposed. The modal value and the mode shape of components were analyzed using the CAE model to identify the important components affecting driveline noise and vibration. It could be reached that the simplified test bench could be well established and be used for design guide and development of the vehicle chassis components.

점화코일용 에폭시의 부분방전 특성 (Partial Discharge Characteristics of Epoxy for Ignition Coil)

  • 가솔린 엔진을 장착한 자동차는 고전압발생장치인 점화코일을 이용하여 고전압을 발생 연소실 내의 혼합기를 점화 및 연소시킴으로써 동력을 얻고 엔진을 구동하게 된다. 점화코일은 1차측 낮은 전압을 스위칭 작용으로 2차측 높은 전압을 발생시키고, 이를 전극으로 보내는데, 점화코일에 작은 결함이 발생하게 되면 제 성능을 발휘하지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 현재 사용하고 있는 에폭시 성형 점화코일과 절연재료인 에폭시수지를 시료로 선택하여 시료에 전압이 인가될 때 발생하는 부분방전 특성을 측정하여 전압변화에 따른 위상각, 방전전하량 및 발생빈도 수 등의 분포를 연구하고 검토한 결과를 실제 자동차점화장치에 접목시켜 점화코일의 성능향상과 전기장치의 신뢰성 확보에 기여하고자 한다.

선형모델을 이용한 수동변속기의 동적 특성 연구 (Study on the Dynamic Characteristics of a Manual Transmission Using Linear Models)

  • 자동차 수동변속기 내 래틀과 같은 회전체 진동은 엔진 연소폭발 주기와 연동하여 발생한다. 이러한 충격형 진동 특성은 선형 시간 불변 분석법을 적용하여 살펴볼 수 있다. 기어의 동적 특성을 이해하기 위해, 특정 형태의 앞 바퀴 굴림 방식 수동 변속기에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 첫째, 동특성 고유값과 주파수 응답함수를 기반으로 자유도를 줄이는 방법을 제시하였는데, 이는 행렬의 크기를 줄이는 효과적인 역할을 한다. 둘째, 단일 질량 플라이휠과 이중 질량 플라이휠의 동적 특성을 비교하였다. 모빌리티 분석을 기반으로 한 이중 질량 플라이휠의 효과를 검토하였는데, 이로부터 진동에 의해 가진되는 충격을 회피하기 위한 기본 개념을 이해 할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 두 단계 클러치 댐퍼로부터 유효 강성 값을 도출하여 선형 불변형 시스템 모델을 연구하였다. 두 단계의 서로 다른 클러치 강성조합을 이용하여 클러치 댐퍼의 동적특성에 대한 관계를 예측할 수 있다.

인휠 전기 구동 기반의 능동안전지원 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Algorithm for Advanced Driver Assist based on In-Wheel Hybrid Driveline)

  • 본 연구에서는 인휠 전기구동 시스템의 장점을 바탕으로 첨단능동안전지원 기술의 일종인 적응순항제어(Adaptive Cruise Control, ACC) 알고리즘의 고도화 방안을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 대상 차량은 전륜은 엔진에 의해, 후륜은 인휠모터에 의해 구동되는 4륜 하이브리드 구동계를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는데, 이러한 구성은 기존 내연기관 차량을 개선하여 차량의 출력을 증가시키거나 4륜 하이브리드 형태로의 변화를 용이하게 하는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 차량의 구성을 바탕으로 기본 상태에서는 엔진만을 이용하여 차간거리 제어를 수행하되, 젖은 노면 등 주행 환경에서 제어오차가 커지게 되면 후륜의 인휠모터를 구동하여 제어성능을 확보할 수 있는 ACC 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 ACC 알고리즘은 상기와 같은 방법으로 ACC 제어성능을 최적화함과 동시에 기존 4륜 자동차가 갖는 장점을 그대로 유지하도록 한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 고정밀 동역학 SW를 기반으로 대상 인휠모터 및 인휠 하이브리드 구동계, 해당 구동계 기반의 ACC 제어시스템을 모델링하였으며, 이를 통해 시뮬레이션 환경을 기반으로 제안된 알고리즘의 검증 결과를 제시한다.

고속도로에서 GPS 거리와 고도데이터를 이용한 연비 향상 정속 순항 제어 알고리즘 (Fuel Economy Improvement Cruise Control Algorithm using Distance and Altitude Data of GPS in Expressway)

  • A vehicle fuel economy is very important issue in view of fuel cost and environmental regulation. It has been improved according to the performance improvement of the vehicle engine, power train and many components. It was evaluated at given mode (LA-4, FTP-75, etc) on an engine dynamometer or computer simulation program. In this paper, the fuel economy improvement cruise control algorithms as controling a vehicle velocity by road load calculated and predicted in a real expressway with gradient was studied. Firstly, the altitude and distance data which was measured with GPS sensor was already installed in the ECU of a vehicle. Then the vehicle equipped with GPS receiver is driven the same expressway. The ECU calculates the gradient angle and the in-/decreasing velocity using the gradient angle by comparing the current received distance and altitude data from GPS with the saved data ahead of the vehicle. Therefore the ECU can calculate and predict the vehicle velocity considering tolerance velocity of next position with running. Then the ECU controls the vehicle velocity to meet this predicted velocity in all section. Three cruise control algorithms with the different velocity profiles for the improvement of fuel economy are proposed and compared with the computer simulation results that the vehicle runs on Youngdong expressway. The proposed CVELCONT2 and CVELCONT3 algorithms were improved 3.7% and 4.8% of fuel economy compared with CONSTVEL which is steady cruising algorithm. These two algorithms are recommended as the Eco-cruise drive methodologies in this paper.

해군 함정 승조원 수 예측 모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Manpower Forecasting Model for Naval Ships)

  • The low birthrate and the need for national defense reform in Korea drive the Navy to develop efficient human resource planning such as a manpower forecasting model. However, to our knowledge, there is no study exploring the manpower forecasting model for naval ships in Korea. The purpose of this paper is to develop a model for forecasting manpower demand in naval ships. Data for analyses were drawn from 19 ships in the Korean Navy. Results indicate that mission type is significantly related to the number of manpower. Specifically, battleships need the more manpower than the battle support ships. The results also showed that the weight of hull structure-engine and the weight of the weapons system significantly increased the number of manpower. However, the weight of the combat system was not significant. In addition, whereas the automation level of hull structure-engine and the automation level of weapon system was found to be negatively related to the number of manpower, the automation level of combat system was positively related to it. The model developed here contributes to an advanced human resource planning of the Korean Navy. Implications, limitations, and directions for future research are discussed.
