다변량 확률밀도함수와 베이지안 정리를 이용한 교전공간내 공중항적의 격추확률 분포 특성 (Characteristics of Kill Probability Distribution of Air Track Within the Engagement Space Using Multivariate Probability Density Function & Bayesian Theorem)

  • 위협평가가 끝난 공중항적에 대해 적절한 대응무기를 할당하기 위해서는 교전예상지점을 고려하여 교전적합성을 평가하는 것이 필요하다. 논문에서는 공중항적이 교전공간을 통과할 때 공중항적의 상대거리, 접근방위각 및 고도 등 다변량 속성정보를 가지고 베이지안 정리를 적용하여 교전공간내 위치에 따른 격추확률을 계산하는 방법을 제시하였다. 계산결과 교전공간내에서의 각 지점별 격추확률값의 분포형태는 최적의 예상요격지점을 기준으로 다변량 정규분포를 따르고 있음을 확인하였고, 계산된 격추확률값은 교전공간을 통과하는 공중항적의 교전가능성 평가에 적용가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Purpose One of the main characteristics of Social Network Service(SNS) is that users in an open space makes posts through voluntary participation and sharing among them. This makes SNS a very attractive channel to companies that need to send their messages to consumers. As a matter of fact, there are many companies doing marketing activities through a platform of Fan Page as a space for corporations and consumers to act together. This study defines the values and types of companies' advertising posts on Facebook, empirically analyzes the results of them, and investigates factors that could enhance the customer engagement. Design/methodology/approach A research model was built to demonstrate which values and types of posts were combined by corporations' posts on Facebook and create their messages and which of those combinations would lead to high results of customer engagement. Findings The results show differences in the values of posts between the group of high customer engagement and the other group on Facebook. This study makes its contribution by conducting elaborate analysis of posts on Facebook and thus proposing marketing strategies that companies, which had difficulties with systematic marketing activities due to cost limitations, could use on Facebook.

Engagement-Scenario-Based Decoy-Effect Simulation Against an Anti-ship Missile Considering Radar Cross Section and Evasive Maneuvers of Naval Ships

  • The survivability of a naval ship is the ability of the ship and its onboard systems to remain functional and continue a designated mission in man-made hostile environments. A passive decoy system is primarily used as a weapon system for improving the survivability of a naval ship. In this study, an engagement scenario-based simulation program was developed for decoy effectiveness assessments against an anti-ship missile (ASM), which tracks a target with sea-skimming and active radar homing. The program can explain the characteristics of a target ship, such as the radar cross section and evasive maneuvers, as well as the operational performance of the onboard decoy system, the guidance method of the ASM, and the engagement environment's wind speed and direction. This paper describes the theory and formulations, configuration, and user interface of the developed program. Numerical examples of a decoy effect assessment of a virtual naval ship against an ASM are presented.

The Effects of Joystick-controlling and Walking-around on Navigating a Virtual Space

  • The advancement of virtual reality technology offers various locomotion options that support users' navigation behaviors in a virtual reality environment. This study was aimed at examining the effects of two navigation methods-joystick-controlling and walking-around-on users' perceived usability, behavioral engagement, and virtual presence. Fifty South Korean college students were recruited in the study, and they were assigned randomly to one of the two navigation conditions. Participants from each group were asked to observe a 3D object and complete the surveys. They were then asked to repeat the procedure with a 2D image. Using repeated-measures ANOVAs and MANOVA, we found that users using joystick-controlling reported higher usability and showed superior performance to the walking-around group on two tasks. Participants reported a higher behavioral engagement when observing the 2D image. Besides, they perceived a significantly higher virtual presence when observing the 2D image. Finally, we discussed the implications of the findings for the navigation method design.

  • 운동에너지 막대 탄두 시스템은 기존 시스템의 장점을 결합한 새로운 형태의 요격탄두 시스템으로서 직격 파괴방식에 비해 표적 유도 정밀도에 대한 의존도가 낮을뿐더러, 고폭 파편 탄두 방식보다 더 높은 관통력을 제공해 준다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 운동에너지 탄두의 사출 방식 중 등방성운동에너지 탄두의 기폭, 전개모델을 소개하고, TATE 관통방정식을 이용하여 사출된 관통자의 관통 효과를 계산하였다. 또한 교전 성능 분석을 위한 방법을 제시하였으며, 다양한 교전 상황에 대한 몬테-칼로 시뮬레이션을 통해 최적의 교전 기하 및 기폭 시점을 도출하였다.

공대지 유도탄의 발사유효범위(LAR) 산출 알고리듬 (Computation Algorithm for Launch Acceptability Region of Air-to-Surface Missiles)

  • 전투기 탑재용 무장제어 알고리듬은 교전상황에서 전투기의 임무 수행 및 생존과 직결된다. 공대지 유도탄의 경우 조종사에게 LAR로 알려진 발사 유효 범위를 무장제어 알고리듬을 통하여 전투기 MFD상에 전시해 준다. LAR는 교전 거리의 계산을 통해 산출된 사거리 테이블을 이용하여 생성된다. 본 논문에서는 AGM-84와 AGM-88 공대지 유도탄의 운용모의에 대하여 소개하고, 이를 바탕으로 Pseudo 6자유도 모델에 기반한 사거리 테이블 산출과 실시간 LAR 산출 알고리듬에 대한 내용을 언급하였다. 구성한 알고리듬의 성능 검증을 위하여 모의대상 유도탄의 교전 시뮬레이션을 수행하고 LAR를 산출하여 분석하였다.

내러티브 관점에서의 과학박물관 전시공간 분석 - 과천과학관의 자연사 및 전통과학 전시공간을 중심으로- (A Research of Exhibition Narrative Oriented Space Analysis of Science Museum - Based on Exhibition Space of Gwachun National Science Museum)

  • This study is based on the arguments of Sofia Sarah and concept of 'Sequence Narrative' of Nigel Coates, the founder of Nato. Specifically, this study was conducted under the premise that narrative exhibition space will affect the engagement of viewers. As a result of this study, a method of analyzing a science museum's exhibition space was presented using the narrative structure and the following attributes of visuals: sequence of viewing; spatial tension; spatial pace. The findings are as follows. In terms of 'spatial tension', the exhibiton space with the following progression was more likely to provide viewers with in-depth experience: 'raise of tension' - 'change of pace' - detente.' Although the limited sample doesn't lead to verification of the analysis method and conclusion of its significance, the following was clearly revealed: Exhibiton space that utilizes the structure and attributes of a narrative that provides progression and dramatic tension, as if the viewers were watching a film, is more likely to offer in-depth experience than other spaces. In terms of 'phase transition', the following was revealed: Pace variation around the space with the strongest spatial tension could affect the concentration and engagement of viewers. It suggests the following fact: Spatial rhythm and speed variation in the area with the strongest visual emphasis encourage viewers to feel the spatial changes, maintain their concentration, and continue their viewing.

공대공 전투 모의를 위한 규칙기반 AI 교전 모델 개발 (The Development of Rule-based AI Engagement Model for Air-to-Air Combat Simulation)

  • Since the concept of Manned-UnManned Teaming(MUM-T) and Unmanned Aircraft System(UAS) can efficiently respond to rapidly changing battle space, many studies are being conducted as key components of the mosaic warfare environment. In this paper, we propose a rule-based AI engagement model based on Basic Fighter Maneuver(BFM) capable of Within-Visual-Range(WVR) air-to-air combat and a simulation environment in which human pilots can participate. In order to develop a rule-based AI engagement model that can pilot a fighter with a 6-DOF dynamics model, tactical manuals and human pilot experience were configured as knowledge specifications and modeled as a behavior tree structure. Based on this, we improved the shortcomings of existing air combat models. The proposed model not only showed a 100 % winning rate in engagement with human pilots, but also visualized decision-making processes such as tactical situations and maneuvering behaviors in real time. We expect that the results of this research will serve as a basis for development of various AI-based engagement models and simulators for human pilot training and embedded software test platform for fighter.

The Use of Weblogs as a Tool for Thai Political Engagement

  • Political weblogs are as diverse as political viewpoints are. In the period of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, several political crises occurred, such as opposition to the Amnesty Act, the constitutional amendment, and the anti-government protests. Remarkably, during this time, social media were used as a platform for political expressions. This study employed a content analysis method to explore twenty-nine Thai political weblogs established during the period of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's administration. At the time, the most prominent Thai political weblogger was Nidhi Eawsriwong. Not surprisingly, the Pheu Thai Party and the Democrat Party were the most frequently appearing political parties in these weblog's posts. Most contents in these posts were related to government protesters by the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) and the coup d'état. The purposes of writing such weblogs were to express feelings and thoughts about Thai politics and to provide political information to the general public. The findings from this investigation revealed two significant uses of Thai political weblogs: the communication media for political expressions and viewpoints (a safe online space for political engagement and participation), and vital sources for Thai political information and news (social narratives).

적외선 영상탐색기를 탑재한 대함유도탄-함정방어체계 교전모의 프로그램 개발 (Development of Engagement Simulation Program between ASM with IIR Seeker and Defense System)

  • 본 논문에서는 적외선 영상탐색기가 탑재된 대함유도탄에 대한 함정 방어용 기만 체계의 성능 분석을 위한 교전모의 프로그램을 소개한다. 대함유도탄에 탑재된 적외선 영상탐색기는 함정의 적외선 신호를 탐지하는 거리로부터, 비례항법 유도법칙 또는 입사각 제어유도법칙에 기반하여 접근한다. 그러므로 대함유도탄의 유도 수행 능력은 기본적으로 탐색기의 표적 추적 알고리듬뿐만 아니라 함정의 적외선 신호에 의존한다. 개발한 프로그램을 사용하여, 대함유도탄 적외선 영상탐색기의 다양한 추적 알고리듬으로 flare와 함정 표면을 냉각하기 위한 Counter-Measures Wash-Down System(CMWDS) 같은 함정 기만 체계의 영향을 살펴볼 수 있다.
