체계 효과도 분석을 위한 공학/교전 모델 연동 시뮬레이션 기술 연구 (Interoperation between Engineering- and Engagement-level Models for System Effectiveness Analysis)

  • 교전급 모델만을 이용한 기존의 체계 효과도 분석 방법은 각종 무기의 동작에 따른 영향을 반영할 수 없으므로 분석 결과에 오차를 발생시킬 수 있다. 이러한 제약 사항은 무기 체계의 특성을 구체적으로 모의하는 공학급 모델의 모의 결과를 교전급 모델의 시뮬레이션에 반영할 수 있도록 해주는 계층 간 연동 기술로 극복할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 운용 환경, 운용 전술, 기계적 오차 등과 같은 요인에 따라 변하는 무기 체계의 동적인 특성을 공학급 모델과의 연동을 통해 교전급 모델의 시뮬레이션에 반영함으로써 체계 효과도 분석에 오차를 줄이는 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 또한, 체계 효과도 분석을 형식화하고 공학/교전 모델 연동을 위한 인터페이스를 정의한다. 본 논문에서 수상함의 대어뢰전 효과도 분석에 제안한 방법론을 적용함으로써 그 활용성을 보인다.

특성화고등학교 학생의 수업몰입과 교사의 사회적지지의 관계 (The Relationship between Social Support of Teachers and Academic Engagement of Specialized Vocational High School Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 특성화고등학교 학생의 특성을 이해하는데 필요한 정보를 제공하고, 교사의 사회적지지를 통해 학생들의 수업몰입도를 높이며, 담임교사의 생활지도 및 전략적 학급경영 방법에 대한 정보를 제공하는데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 학생의 수업몰입 측정도구(21문항)와 교사의 사회적지지 측정도구(25문항)로 구성된 설문지를 통해 전국 5개 권역 11개교의 공업계열 특성화고등학교 학생 990명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특성화고등학교 학생의 수업몰입 수준은 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 그러나 행동몰입, 인지몰입에 비해 감정몰입 수준이 낮게 나타난 결과는 질적인 측면의 개선이 요구된다. 성별에 따른 수업몰입 수준에는 차이가 없었으나 학년에 따라서는 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 인지몰입 요인과 감정몰입 요인에서 1학년 학생이 2, 3학년 학생 보다 몰입 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 평가적 지지와 도구적 지지가 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 성별에 따른 수업몰입 수준에는 차이가 없었으나 학년에 따라서는 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 특성화고등학교 교사의 사회적지지는 보통 수준이며, 평가적지지, 도구적지지, 정보적지지, 정서적지지 순으로 학생들에게 제공되고 있었다. 셋째, 특성화고등학교 교사의 사회적지지가 학생의 수업몰입에 주는 정적인 영향과 높은 상관관계, 그 설명력 모두 높은 결과를 얻었다. 더욱이 수업몰입의 질적인 측면에 있어 교사의 정서적지지가 높은 상관도와 설명력을 보였다. 따라서 교사의 사회적지지는 학생의 수업몰입 수준 향상에 도움을 주고 학교생활에 대한 적응력과 만족감을 갖게 하여, 정서발달과 자아형성에 긍정적인 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

Investigation of the Influence of Induced Mood on Rehabilitation Engagement: a Study Focusing on Muscle Activity

  • Engagement is an important factor in the field of rehabilitation as it is a known factor that have a positive influence on functional gaining in people who receive rehabilitation therapy. Although a number of measurements for engagement have been recently developed, investigation of possible factors that may have influence on engagement is not well established. Currently available evidence suggests that engagement is affected by mood and it is hypothesized that a personal factor may contribute to engagement. Therefore, this study aims to test the hypothetical relationship between mood and engagement while performing a manual dexterity task through an experiment in healthy participants prior to investigation on people with medical condition who requires rehabilitation therapy. After inducing target mood (positive or negative mood) for study participants by asking them to recall autobiographical memories, change in muscle activity, which was operationalized as an indicator of engagement, was investigated. Electromyogram (EMG) was recorded from four muscle areas in non-dominant hand side to quantify muscle activity. The results show that the target moods were appropriately induced with the method. Although there were subtle differences in the level of engagement between different moods, certain variables derived from muscle activity were significantly different; mean amplitude for wrist extensor EMG showed significant difference between different moods (Z = -2.023, p < .05) indicating that muscle activities in the wrist extensor are greater for positive mood than negative mood region during manual dexterity task. Meanwhile, performance outcomes of Minnesota Manual Dexterity Test (MMDT), such as mean completion time and number of errors, between moods showed no significant difference in two different moods, resulting in MMDT administration may not be useful task in distinguishing the level of rehabilitation engagement.

패션 동영상 광고속성과 인게이지먼트가 광고효과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Advertising Attributes and Engagement on the Advertising Effectiveness of Fashion Video Ads)

  • This study aimed to examine the effect of ad attributes on engagement, the mediating effect of engagement on the relationship between ad attributes and advertising effectiveness (attitudes toward ads, continuous intention to search, and e-WOM intention), and the differences in advertising effectiveness at different levels (low vs. high) of curiosity toward fashion video ads in the online context. For this purpose, a total of 408 responses were collected from consumers who were aged 20-40 years and had viewed fashion video ads via PC/mobile channels in the preceding six months. The results showed that three advertising attributes, namely informativeness, entertainment, and personalization, were significant predictors of engagement. Additionally, engagement had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between entertainment and ad effectiveness. Moreover, both informativeness and entertainment had a significant direct effect on the behavioral intention to search and engage in e-WOM. At the high-curiosity level, engagement had a significant influence on ad attitudes and e-WOM intention. In contrast, at the low-curiosity level, entertainment had a significant influence on e-WOM intention and continuous intention to search. These findings are meaningful in that they extend the advertising attitude model to fashion video ads in the online context.

교전수준 잠수함 표준모델 개발 방안 연구 (On the Development of the Authoritative Representations of Submarine for Engagement Level Simulation)

  • 본 논문에서는 미래의 수중 교전 시뮬레이션에서 공통적으로 사용될 수 있도록 재사용성 및 상호운용성과 공학 시뮬레이션 등 앞으로의 확장성을 고려하여 수중 교전에 사용되는 잠수함 체계에 대한 표준모델을 어떠한 개념에서 어떠한 형태로 정립할 것인가에 대해 기술하였다. 본 연구를 통해 교전 수준 잠수함 체계 표준모델에 대한 모델아키텍쳐를 정립하고 개별 구성요소에 대한 모델링 방안을 개발하였으며 모델의 입출력 자료 및 정보 흐름도를 도출하였다. 본 연구에서는 비음향 탐지 모델 및 비음향 스텔스 모델 등 수중 교전에 해당하지 않는 분야는 제외하였으므로 향후 이에 대한 추가 연구가 필요하다.

  • Weapon systems composed of several subsystems execute various engagement missions in distributed combat environments in cooperation with a large number of subordinate/adjacent weapon systems as well as higher echelons through tactical data links. Such distributed weapon systems require distributed real-time simulation test beds to integrate and test their operational software, analyze their performance and effects of cooperated engagement, and validate their requirement specifications. These demands present significant challenges in terms of real-time constraints, time synchronization, complexity and development cost of an engagement simulation test bed, thus necessitate the use of high-performance distributed real-time simulation architectures, and modeling and simulation techniques. In this paper, in order to meet these demands, we presented a distributed real-time simulation system based on High Level Architecture(HLA) and Discrete Event System Specification(DEVS). We validated its performance by using it as a test bed for developing the Engagement Control System(ECS) of a surface-to-air missile system. The proposed technique can be employed to design a prototype or model of engagement-level distributed real-time simulation systems.

Effectiveness of a mobile health intervention on weight loss and dietary behavior changes among employees with overweight and obesity: a 12-week intervention study investigating the role of engagement

  • Objectives: This study aimed to determine whether a mobile health (mhealth) intervention is effective in reducing weight and changing dietary behavior among employees with overweight and obesity. The study also investigated whether engagement with the intervention affected its effectiveness. Methods: The intervention involved the use of a dietary coaching app, a wearable device for monitoring physical activity and body composition, and a messenger app for communicating with participants and an intervention manager. A total of 235 employees were recruited for a 12-week intervention from eight workplaces in Korea. Questionnaire surveys, anthropometric measurements, and 24-h dietary recalls were conducted at baseline and after the intervention. Results: After the intervention, significant decreases in the mean body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, and waist circumference were observed. Furthermore, the consumption frequencies of multigrain rice and legumes significantly increased, whereas those of pork belly, instant noodles, processed meat, carbonated beverages, and fast food significantly decreased compared with those at baseline. The mean dietary intake of energy and most nutrients also decreased after the intervention. When the participants were categorized into three groups according to their engagement level, significant differences in anthropometric data, dietary behaviors, and energy intake were observed following the intervention, although there were no differences at baseline, indicating that higher engagement level led to greater improvements in weight loss and dietary behavior. Conclusions: The intervention had positive effects on weight loss and dietary behavior changes, particularly among employees with higher engagement levels. These results indicate the importance of increasing the level of engagement in the intervention to enhance its effectiveness. The mhealth intervention is a promising model for health promotion for busy workers with limited time.

Overcoming the Hurdles of Transition: Middle School Students' Engagement in Distance Instruction During the COVID-19 Pandemic in South Korea

  • The study aimed to qualitatively examine middle school students' engagement in distance instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants comprised 119 students from a girls' middle school in Seoul, South Korea. To gain an in-depth understanding of the students' experiences, we collected their reflective journals, which included structured items about their learning engagement at three timepoints in 2020: April, July, and December. The following are the results: 10 themes and 18 concepts were derived, and they were integrated into causal conditions (sudden transition due to COVID-19), contextual condition (technology readiness, school education context), central phenomena (high level of behavioral engagement, low emotional engagement), interventional conditions (recognizing the potential of online learning, situational awareness about COVID-19 and online learning), action/interaction phenomena (development and use of self-regulated learning strategies), and consequences (changes in practices and perception towards online learning). Based on the findings, engagement patterns of the participants were classified into five types: proactive, conservative, receptive, reactive, passive learners. The present study demonstrated important findings that are essential for the improvement and development of engaging online learning strategies in the future.

디지털 사이니지와 스마트 미디어 융합이 인게이지먼트와 상호작용성 수준에 따라 기억과 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Digital Signage and Smart Media Convergence on Memory and Attitude According to the Level of Engagement and Interactivity)

  • 본 연구는 디지털 사이니지와 스마트 기술이 융합되면서 디지털 사이니지의 상호작용성(고/저)와 인게이지먼트(고/저)에 따라 기억 효과와 브랜드 태도 효과의 차이가 어떻게 나타나는지를 살펴보았다. 2X2 피험자간 요인설계를 통해 실증적으로 분석하였으며, SPSS 18을 이용하여 Two Way MANOVA분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 디지털 사이니지의 상호작용성과 인게이지먼트 수준이 낮으면 '종합적 기억정보'가 많이 회상되나 두 조건이 모두 높으면 '속성기억정보'가 회상되는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 디지털 사이니지의 상호작용성이 낮고 인게이지먼트 수준이 높으면 제품의 제품에 대한 전반적인 태도를 형성하는 기억 정보가 많이 회상되었다. 또한 상호작용성 수준이 높고 인게이지먼트가 낮아도 속성 정보보다는 전반적인 평가를 통한 태도적인 인지 반응이 높게 형성되었다. 셋째, 브랜드 태도는 상호작용성 수준이 나자고 인게이지먼트 수준이 높을 때 긍정적이었다. 이는 디지털 사이니지를 통해 제품에 대한 태도를 긍정적으로 형성시키기 위해서는 상호작용을 최소화하는 대신 디지털 사이니지 미디어 자체에 대한 몰입을 극대화하는 방안이 브랜드에 대한 경험을 통해 태도 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다.

취약성 평가 기반 함정 임무수행능력 측정 방법: 해군 교전급 분석모델을 중심으로 (A Mission Capability Measuring Methodology of Warship based on Vulnerability Assessment: Focused on Naval Engagement Level Analysis Model)

  • Maintaining sea superiority through successful mission accomplishments of warships is being proved to be an important factor of winning a war, as in the Ukraine-Russia war. in order to ensure the ability of a warship to perform its duties, the survivability of the warship must be strengthened. In particular, among the survivability factors, vulnerability is closely related to a damage assessment, and these vulnerability data are used as basic data to measure the mission capability. The warship's mission capability is usually measured using a wargame model, but only the operational effects of a macroscopic view are measured with a theater level resolution. In order to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of a weapon system in the context of advanced weapon systems and equipments, a warship's mission capability must be measured at the engagement level resolution. To this end, not the relationship between the displacement tonnage and the weight of warheads applied in the theater level model, but an engagement level resolution vulnerability assessment method that can specify physical and functional damage at the hit position should be applied. This study proposes a method of measuring a warship's mission capability by applying the warship vulnerability assessment method to the naval engagement level analysis model. The result can be used as basic data in developing engagement algorithms for effective and efficient operation tactics to be implemented from a single unit weapon system to multiple warships.
