외피 열성능에 따른 건물에너지효율등급 분석 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Building Energy Rating considering the Insulation Performance of the Building Envelope)

  • According to the building regulation U-value limitation of window is $3.3W/m^2{\cdot}K$ in southern regions, while U-value limitation of wall is $0.35{\sim}0.58W/m^2{\cdot}K$. It means that the energy loss through windows is five times more than it through wall. Therefore, this study analyze how much it has affected building energy rating when the insulation performance of windows and walls is changed by building regulation. In conclusion, in order to obtain 2 rating thermal performance of windows is improved more than 10 percent of U-value limitation and it of wall is improved more than 20 percent. The thermal performance of windows is improved more than 20 percent of U-value limitation and it of wall is improved more than 30 percent to receive 1 rating.

  • This study explains the procedure that should be taken to develop a successful wind park project. It Provide guideline for activities and studies to be done step by step solution. This study follow a chronological flow through the development process. They cover Technical consideration, Assessment of Wind Energy Resource, Wind park siting and Energy yield calculation. It's build on the experience gained by the Youngduk Wind Park project and give the playa role in the development of wind energy projects. It is important to understand all theses issues if a new project is to be successfully completed.

  • Purpose - The E-convergence economy is requested with the economic change of the diverse energy supplies, according to the exploits of Shale gas. By analyzing the electric energy supply and demand in accordance with the various cases, it has proved indirectly to create a convergence economy. Research design, data, and methodology - The research design would make realize its potential change with which government or companies have focused on the energy objection between Shale gas and Electric vehicles. Results - The paper suggests that Shale gas has expanded with the emphasis on the Electrical convergence economy or EVs. Due to these results, they also show why it should not be delayed in the development of shale gas and electric vehicles at the same time. Conclusions - All this is from the reason of opening the E-convergence economy over time. It is required that Korea should prepare E-convergence economy. Public regional energy should be present through the consistent selection of development for energy linking E-economy and E-trans distribution.

  • In the respect of energy saving and reusing, it is necessary to reduce greenhouse gases emission and to enhance the operation efficiency in electric railway system. Recently, as the power electronics technologies are advanced, some countries have focused on the regenerative inverter to use regeneration energy on each line. When the electric tractions are stopped or slowed down, it is useful to supply the surplus energy to the power source by regenerative system, which increases its energy efficiency. Also, the generated energy can be supply to other tractions or equipments inside traction. Thus, it may help reduce construction cost of additional power plants. The purpose of this study is to describe the development status of the regenerative inverter system which suppress extra DC-line voltage and regenerate the energy instead of using a resister.

  • This paper presents the wideband vibration system of an electromagnetic vibration energy harvester that obtained electric power for wireless sensor applications from the ever-change vibrations of bridge. It is a system with two degree of freedom vibrations that are composed of two mass and two spring respectively. One system is housing mass and spring, the other is the magnetic mass and spring that is the vibration system construction's element of electromagnetic vibration energy harvester. In other words, it is called dynamic vibration absorber. This paper show that the ratio of housing mass to magnetic mass decides the bandwidth and the size of amplitude of magnetic mass in electromagnetic vibration energy harvester. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the efficiency of energy in electromagnetic vibration energy harvester for wireless sensor applications.

  • In this paper, we propose an energy monitoring and management service based on wireless sensors and a home gateway for homes and buildings. Homes and buildings have a significant energy saving potential compared with other sectors. Sensing, monitoring, and managing of the information on the energy consumption are required for an efficient energy saving service. The proposed system is composed of two main components, wireless sensor and an intelligent home gateway. Wireless sensors have the ZigBee communication interface for communication, and the intelligent home gateway is an energy portal. We expect that energy saving could be achieved with this system. As a further work, we will analyze the practical impact of the proposed service.

  • Construction equipment is a major energy consumption source in construction projects. If 10% reduction of the diesel fuel usage is achieved in the construction industry, it may reduce 5% of the total energy usage. Energy saving operation is a major issue in equipment-intensive operations (e.g., earthmoving or paving operations). Identifying optimal equipment fleet is important measure to achieve low-energy consumption in those operations. This study presents a system which finds an optimal equipment fleet by computing the low-energy performance of earthmoving operations. It establishes construction operation model and compares numerous combinations using alternative equipment allocation plans. It implements sensitivity analysis that facilitates searching the lowest energy consumption equipment fleet by enumerating all cases.

  • The discharge energy by electrostatic discharge of the charged human body is calculated under the assumption that the stored charge is dissipated completely. However, it is well-known that the charge is slightly remained after electrostatic discharge. Therefore, The Rompe-Weisel model of the discharge analysis, which has somewhat more of a physical justification than the conventional energy equation, is proposed. It is proposed that the electrical conductivity of the arc should be proportional to the energy density transferred to it by Ohmic dissipation. For the electrostatic discharge energy analysis, the Rompe-Weisel model was compared by quasi static analysis. As a consequence, a study on a reliable energy evaluation based on simulation models during electrostatic discharge is carried out in this paper and is adopted to estimate the explosion hazards of flammable gases.

  • As the introduction of new climate system, efforts to change carbon neutrality, efforts to convert carbon neutrality. In Korea, we are setting up carbon emissions through greenhouse gas and energy target management system for business and companies that emit carbon emissions. The construction industry quantitatively predict the carbon emissions, but it is struggling to set up the amount of carbon emissions before construction stage, but it is suffering from lack of data. Therefore, this study was conducted by collecting data on the energy usage amount of carbon emissions according to the energy usage of the construction phenomenon and low-capacity prediction of the construction phenomenon. Through collected data, the average energy usage amount by building users and evaluated the average carbon emissions. It also evaluated the contribution of carbon emissions by energy sources.

MRAM 기반 SSD 파일 시스템의 에너지 효율적 서브페이징 (Energy-Efficient Subpaging for the MRAM-based SSD File System)

  • The advent of the state-of-the-art technologies such as cloud computing and big data processing stimulates the provision of various new IT services, which implies that more servers are required to support them. However, the need for more servers will lead to more energy consumption and the efficient use of energy in the computing environment will become more important. The next generation nonvolatile RAM has many desirable features such as byte addressability, low access latency, high density and low energy consumption. There are many approaches to adopt them especially in the area of the file system involving storage devices, but their focus lies on the improvement of system performance, not on energy reduction. This paper suggests a novel approach for energy reduction in which the MRAM-based SSD is utilized as a storage device instead of the hard disk and a downsized page is adopted instead of the 4KB page that is the size of a page in the ordinary file system. The simulation results show that energy efficiency of a new approach is very effective in case of accessing the small number of bytes and is improved up to 128 times better than that of NAND Flash memory.
