  • 주변 환경으로부터 에너지를 수확하는 것은 많은 응용 분야에서 센서네트워크의 에너지를 고갈시키는 상황을 완화시키는 데 필수적이다. 주변환경으로부터 얻을 수 있는 에너지는 적절하게 관리되고 수확된다면 시스템을 더욱 오랫동안 지속할 수 있게 한다. 이제까지 많은 시뮬레이터 들은 전원을 에너지 수확에 의존하는 센서네트워크를 시뮬레이션 하였다. 노드들이 에너지를 다양한 주변 에너지원으로부터 수확한다고 가정하고 시뮬레이션을 할 수 있다는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다. 또한, 에너지의 잔량을 지속적으로 추적하고 이에 따라 노드의 활동을 조정하는 것도 필수적이다. 본 연구의 목적은 각기 다른 에너지원에 따른 에너지 수확의 효과를 보여주는 단일 노드 시뮬레이터를 제안하는 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 더욱 정교한 시뮬레이션을 위하여 확장이 가능 하다.

  • 무기단결정을 광 펄스로 여기 한 격자에서 광학이나 음향포논을 이용하여 광 여기 반도체가 서브피코초로 관측하고 있다. 다수의 회절 점으로 결정구조를 파악하는 것으로써 광 여기에 의한 분자결정 구조변화를 관측하는 것이 보고되고 있고 또한 반응이 진행되고 있는 중에 분자구조를 하나하나 영상으로 관측하는 것이 연구되고 있다. 단백질 분자구조의 시간에 따른 변화와 용액 중 분자의 광반응에 따른 구조변화를 파악하고 있는데 이것은 시스템에 따라 펨토 초에서 초 단위까지 다양하고 광범위하게 고도의 시간분해능으로 계측할 수 있는 X선 측정기술이다.

OH Emission toward Embedded YSOs

  • High energy photons and mechanical energy produced by the process of star formation result in copious FIR molecular and atomic lines, which are important coolants of the system. Photons thermally or mechanically induced could dissociate water in the dense envelope to change relative abundances among the species O, OH, and H2O. Here we analyze OH emission lines toward embedded young stellar objects (YSOs) observed as part of the Herschel open time key program, 'Dust, Ice, and Gas In Time (DIGIT)' in order to study the physical conditions of associated gas and the energy budget loaded on the OH line emission. According to our analysis of the Herschel/PACS spectra, OH emission peaks at the central spaxel in most of sources, but several sources show spatially extended emission structures. In the extended emission sources, the distribution of OH emission is correlated with that of [OI] emission and extended along the outflow directions. Considering the diversity of source properties, ratios between detected OH lines are relatively constant among sources. In addition, each OH line has strong correlation with bolometric luminosity. For detail analyses with rotation diagram and non-LTE LVG model, we present the results from GSS30-IRS1 and Elias29.

  • 미세조류는 바이오연료 생산을 위한 가장 지속가능하고 장래성이 좋은 생산 원료로 여겨지고 있다. 하지만 최근의 몇몇 전과정평가 연구에 의하면 미세조류 바이오디젤 생산, 특히 배양 단계에 많은 에너지가 소요된다는 단점이 있다. 유기탄소, 질소 및 인과 같은 영양분, 그리고 배양에 필요한 용수 비용이 전체 배양 단계의 80%까지 이를 수 있다. 본 총설에서는 최근 미세조류 배양에 필요한 인공배지의 대체용으로 사용 가능성이 높은 하폐수, 유기비료 연소배가스, 유기성 폐기물 등에 대한 최근의 활용 경향과 사용 전략에 대하여 문한 조사를 통해 요약 및 고찰하였다.

  • Wearable electronic devices with batteries must be lightweight, flexible and highly durable. Most importantly, the battery should be able to self-generate to operate the devices without having to be too frequently charged externally. An eco-friendly energy harvesting technology from various sources, such as solar energy, electromagnetic energy and wind energy, has been developed for a self-charging flexible battery. Although the energy harvesting from such sources are often unstable according to the surrounding environment, the energy harvesting from body movements and vibrations has been less affected by the surrounding environment. In this regard, flexible piezoelectric modules are the most attractive solution for this issue, because they convert mechanical energy to electrical energy and harvest energy from the human body motions. Among the various flexible piezoelectric modules, piezoelectric nanofibers have advantages when used as an energy harvester in wearable devices, due to their simple manufacturing process with good applicability to polymers and ceramics. This review focused on diverse flexible piezoelectric nanofibers and discusses their applications as various energy harvesting systems.

  • Shortage of fossil fuel energy makes current industry to find a new energy sources. One of the solutions is using the renewable energy sources like wind, sun, water, and so on. If we think with flex idea, the existing PV system's role can be greatly changed. So in this paper, I want to suggest some ideas for PV systems as one of outstanding energy source.   • Due to environmental regulation and technical improvements, renewable energy sources (RES) are increasingly penetrated and operated in power systems. Clean energy technologies have become cost-competitive with conventional power systems, and in the near future, the generation cost of RES is expected to approach grid parity. In this situation, it should be considered an extraordinarily important issue to be maximized resulting in utilization of RES as well as to develop technologies for efficiency improvement of RES. Therefore, in this paper, the method for determining an optimal installed capacity and interconnected location of RES is proposed in order to minimize the cost of energy not supplied, which can contribute to improve distribution reliability.

  • Renewable energy sources based on solar radiation, wind energy, geothermal energy, and biomass energy have now reached the level of industrial application. A new way to generate electricity using low-potential heat is to install a hydro-steam turbine. In hydro-steam turbines, hot water is supplied directly to turbine rotor nozzles without prior separation into steam and water in separators, which significantly increases the efficiency of hot water energy use. Such turbines are suggested to be used as autonomous energy sources in geothermal heating systems, heating water boilers and cooling systems of chemical reactors, metallurgical furnaces, etc. The authors conclude that the installation of hydro-steam turbines in heating plants and process boiler plants can also be effective if the used exhaust steam-water mixture at the turbine outlet is used to heat the network water or as return water.

Recent Advances in Catalyst Materials for PEM Water Electrolysis

  • Due to the intermittency of renewable energy sources, a need to store and transport energy will increase. Hydrogen production through water electrolysis will provide an excellent way to supplement the intermittency of renewable energy sources. While alkaline water electrolysis is currently the most mature technology, it has drawbacks of low current density, large footprint, gas crossover, etc. The PEM water electrolysis has potential to replace the alkaline electrolysis. However, expensive catalyst material used in the PEM electrolysis has been the bottleneck of widespread use. In this review, we have reviewed recent efforts to reduce catalyst loading in PEM water electrolysis. In core-shell nanostructures, the precious metal catalyst forms a shell while heteroatoms form a core. In this way, the catalyst loading can be significantly reduced while maintaining the catalytic activity. In another approach, a corrosion-resistant support is utilized, which provides a stable platform to impregnate precious metal catalyst.

  • The energy of 97% consumed by our country depends on it's import from foreign market. This article covers hydrogen, fuel-cell, coal liquefaction gasification energy, and solar, wind, photovoltaic, hydro power, ocean, waste, geothermal, bio energy that is renewable energy, and so on, which are new-generation energy sources, increasing the concern on new & renewable source of enenrgy in future.
