반복 레이저 펄스를 이용한 초음속 비행체의 항력저감 (Wave Drag Reduction due to Repetitive Laser Pulses)

  • 본 연구에서는 초음속 비행체의 조파저항을 감소시키기 위하여, 최대 주파수 80 kHz의 반복 레이저 펄스에 의해 야기된 에너지 부가법에 관한 실험적 연구가 수행된다. 기류 마하수 1.94의 흡입식 초음속 풍동의 바깥에 설치된 초점렌즈에 의하여 레이저 펄스가 실린더 모델 전단부에 집약된다. 시간변동 항력과 정체압력은 로드셀과 PCB 압력센서에 의해서 측정되며, 동시에 고속 카메라를 이용하여 가시화가 수행된다. 본 연구의 결과로부터, 레이저 펄스 에너지 부가에 의한 항력 저감량은 레이저 펄스 주파수가 증가할 때, 최대 21%까지 거의 선형적으로 증가하였다. 부가 에너지 효율은 레이저 펄스 에너지에만 의존하는 결과를 얻었으며, 최대 1000%까지 달성되었다.

Composition Control of YSZ Thin Film Prepared by MOCVD

  • Zirconia films stabilized b $Y_2O_3$, YSZ, films were deposition by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) onto various kind of substrates. $Y_2O_3$, $ZrO_2$and the mixtures of these two were deposited and characterized. The deposition rate, the film composition and the structure could be systematically varied through the $Y(C_{11}H_{19}O_2)_3$, Zr(O.t-$C_H_9)_4$source gas ratios and the deposition temperature. The Y/Zr ratio in YSZ film could be adjusted by controlling the ratio of $Y(C_{11}H_{19}O_2)_3$, Zr(O.t-$C_4H_9)_4$partial pressures. This is because the ratios of the deposition rates of Y and Zr atoms in $Y_2O_3$and $ZrO_2$films to those in YSZ films, Ф, are constant irrespective of the input gas concentration. However, the Y/Zr ratio was found to be smaller than that estimated based on the deposition rates of un-mixed $Y_2O_3$and $ZrO_2$films. This is because the Фs of Y and Zr atoms are not equal. The activation energy of $Y_2O_3$component in YSZ films was similar to that of $ZrO_2$component in YSZ films. These YSZ values were more than 4 times larger than those of un-mixed $Y_2O_3$or $ZrO_2$films.

  • The structural and electrical characteristics of PLZT thin films fabricated onto Pt/Ti/SiO\ulcorner/Si substrates by a pulsed laser deposition were investigated to develop the high dielectric thin films were fabricated with different energy density by pulsed laser deposition. This PLZT thin films of 5000 thickness were crystallized at 600 $^{\circ}C$, 200 mTorr O\ulcorner pressure for 2 J/$\textrm{cm}^2$ laser energy density, the arain structure was transformed from planar to columnar grain. It was clearly noted from the SEM observations that oxygen pressured laser powers affect microstructures of the PLZT thin films. 14/50/50 PLZT this film showed a maximum dielectric constant value of $\varepsilon$\ulcorner=1289.9. P-E hysteresis loop of 14/50/50 PLZT thin film was flim ferro-electric. Leakage current density of 14/50/50 PLZT thin film was 10\ulcorner A/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

  • Reduction reactivity and carbon deposition characteristics of mass produced oxygen carrier particle(OCN-650) have been investigated by using hydrogen, methane, syngas, and natural gas as fuels. For all fuels, the maximum conversion and oxygen transfer capacity increased as the temperature increase. The reduction rate and the oxygen transfer rate increased as the temperature increase for methane. However, those values showed maximum at 900$^{\circ}C$ for hydrogen, syngas, and natural gas. To explain consistently the change of maximum conversion, reduction rate, oxygen transfer capacity, oxygen transfer rate and degree of carbon deposition for different fuels, new parameters such as reactive carbon contents and require oxygen per input gas were adopted.

  • The influence of ion beam energy and reactive oxygen partial pressure on the electrical and crystallographic characteristics of transition metal oxide compound(Cr0x) film was studied in this paper. Chromium oxide films were prepared onto the coverglass using Ion Beam Sputter Deposition(1BSD) technique according to the processing conditions of the partial pressure of reactive oxygen gas and ion beam energy. Crystallinity and grain size of as-deposited films were analyzed using XRD analysis. Thickness and Resistivity of the films were measured by $\alpha$-step and 4-point probe measurement. As results, according to the XRD, XPS and resistivity measurement, the deposited films were the cermet type films which has a crystal structure including amorphous oxide(a-oxide) phase and metal Cr phase simultaneously. The increasernent of the ion b m energy during the deposition process happened to decreasernent of metal Cr grain size and the rapid change of resistivity above the critical $O_2$ partial pressure.

Band Gap Energy of SrTiO3Thin Film Prepared by the Liquid Phase Deposition Method

  • Band gap energies of SrTiO$_3$(STO) thin film on glass substrates were studied in terms of annealing temperature. The STO thin film was fabricated by our newly developed method based on the combination of the Self-Assembled Monolayer(SAM) technique and the Liquid Phase Deposition(LPD) method. The as-deposited film demonstrated a direct band gap energy of about 3.65 eV, which further increased to 3.73 eV and 3.78 eV by annealing at 40$0^{\circ}C$ and 50$0^{\circ}C$, respectively. The band gap energy saturated at about 3.70 eV for the crystallized film which was obtained by annealing at 600-$700^{\circ}C$. The relatively large band gap energies of our crystallized films were due to the presence of minor amorphous phase, grain boundaries and oxygen vacancies generated by annealing in air.

  • Si (Li) 검출기의 full-energy peak 효율을 전기증착 선원을 사용하여 실험적으로 결정하였다. 효율 결정에 사용된 측정선원은 $^{51}$ Cr, $^{54}$Mn, $^{57}$ Co, $^{65}$ Zn 핵종으로서 전기증착 방법으로 제작하였으며, 검출기에 collimate를 설치하여 측정하였다. 산출된 효율값은 K X-선에의한 실리콘 결정에서의 탈출확률 및 측정선원과 검출기 사이의 관련 매질에 대한 감쇠효과에 대하여 보정하였으며, 보정된 효율값은 광자 에너지에 무관하게 일정하였다. 결과적으로 5-15 keV 에너지 영역에서 검출효율의 측정 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있었다.

  • In this study, additive manufacturing of a functionally graded material (FGM) as an alternative to joining dissimilar metals is investigated using directed energy deposition (DED). FGM consists of five different layers, which are mixtures of austenitic stainless steel (type 316 L) and low-alloy steel (LAS, ferritic steel) at ratios of 100:0 (A layer), 75:25 (B layer), 50:50 (C layer), 25:75 (D layer), and 0:100 (E layer), respectively, in each deposition layer. The FGM samples are successfully fabricated without cracks or delamination using the DED method, and specimens are characterized using optical and scanning electron microscopy to monitor their microstructures. In layers C and D of the sample, the tensile strength is determined to be very high owing to the formation of ferrite and martensite structures. However, the elongation is high in layers A and B, which contain a large fraction of austenite.

요오드의 배추에 대한 침적 (Iodine Deposition onto the Chinese Cabbage)

  • 아시아 국가에서 주요한 섭취작물중 하나인 배추에 대하여 요오드 침적실험을 수행하였다. 방사선원으로 반감기가 60일인 $^{125}I$를 사용하여 농도변화를 관찰하였다. 실험은 피폭시기를 다르게 하여 4번에 걸쳐 수행되었다. 요오드는 NaI의 화학반응으로부터 제조되어 사용되었는데 이유는 일반적인 결정을 증발시키는 방법으로는 비교적 큰 요오드 입자가 생기기 때문에 입자조절이 가능한 화학반응을 사용하였다. 침적속도는 공기중 농도를 시간에 대해 적분한 것과 배추 표면의 표면농도로부터 얻었다. 또한 환경제거반감기도 계산되었다.

The Effect of Processing Parameters on the Deposition Behavior of a Spent Fuel Surrogate in the Molten Salt Electrorefining

  • The electrorefining experiments with an anode composed of U, Y, Gd, Nd and Ce (or U, Gd, Dy and Ce) were carried out in the KC1-LiCl eutectic melt at $500^{\circ}C$, Uranium was the major component in the cathode deposits at the high initial uranium concentration, and the separation factors of the uranium with respect to the rare earths (REs) were calculated according to the applied voltage and the uranium concentration in the molten salt. The current efficiency was inversely in proportion to the applied voltage in the range of 1.0 V to 1, 9 V (vs. STS304L). The dependency of the applied voltage on the current efficiency as well as the deposition rate was discussed in terms of the microstructural feature and crystal structure of the deposit.
