경력 단절 기혼 여성의 재취업 욕구 관련 요인 (Factors Related to the Desire of Married, "Career-interrupted" Women to be Re-employed)

  • The purpose of the present study was to examine the desire of married women to be re-employed and the factors related to this desire. The study gathered information from 240 women who gave up their jobs and careers after marriage. Information included their career history, current psycho-social condition, and family situation. Multiple regression and covariation structure analyses indicated that the desire of married women to go back to paid work was influenced by family economic condition, psycho-social condition, and child care situation. Specifically, the study found that family's monthly income and the age of the last child were negatively related to the women's desire for re-employment. On the other hand, economic pressure and achievement motivation were positively related to the women's desire. Finally, the study found that socio-economic background and external social support were not significantly related to the women’s wish to go back to the workforce.

기혼취업남녀의 직장보육시설에 대한 요구 (Needs for the employer-supported day care service of the married man and women workers)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the needs for the employer-supported day care service and to analyze the factors related to the needs for the day care service of the married employees. KLFI(1995)'s National data were used and three Logistic models and one Catmod model were employed to analyse the effects of the independent variables on the needs for the day care service. The results of this study were as follows: First, half of employed workers needed the employer-supported child care service. Second, they preferred the day care center near their residential area than in their work site. Third, according to their age, type of occupation, and their difficulties for the childcare and household work, employed men and women needs on site day care differently. Finally, their needs for the expenditure of duty care service differed by their age, sex, and occupation, and their levels of difficulties for the childcare and household work. These findings suggest that duty care service for the employed man and woman are supported diversely according to their needs and preferences.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the home management ability of the low occupational status employed wives so that the findings may offer them significant information and interest to improve the ability of home management For these purpose reviewing literatures and empirical research were conducted. The sample of this study was selected from the low occupational status employed wives engaging in Seoul Kyoungkee Inchoen, The major findings of this study are summarized as follows. The mean score of the Low Occupational Status employed wives' home management ability was relatively low. Influential variables on home management ability were level of education job-husband income as sociodemographic variables and degrees of communicative satisfaction between husband and wife sex-role attitudes job satisfaction economic life satisfaction and perceived adequacy of resources as psychological variables.

  • 본 연구 결과 여성에서의 문제음주와 알코올 의존 비율이 남성보다는 적지만 9.8%로 상당수의 여성들이 알코올 문제를 겪고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 직장 생활을 하는 여성에서 음주 노출 기회가 더 많고, 실제로 음주에 대한 문제가 더 많이 발생하며 이는 여성의 상태불안과 충동성과 관계가 있다. 여성에서는 직업을 가짐으로써 음주 노출기회가 많아지고 직장 생활에서의 불안 및 충동성이 문제 음주를 일으키는 원인이 될 수 있음을 예상해 볼 수 있겠다. 따라서 직장 여성의 음주 노출 기회와 불안 및 충동성 조절이 음주 위험 요소의 중요한 조절 요인으로 생각된다.

취업미혼남녀의 결혼지원정책 만족도가 결혼의향에 미치는 영향 - 서울시 및 수도권 결혼적령기 취업 미혼남녀를 중심으로 - (Effect of Satisfaction with the Marriage Support Policy on Marriage Intention among Unmarried Employed Men and Women - Focusing on Unmarried Employed Men and Women of Marriageable Age Residing in the Seoul City and Metropolitan Area -)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of satisfaction with the marriage support policy on marriage intention among unmarried employed men and women. The study subjects included 300 unmarried working men and women aged over 30 years residing in the Seoul metropolitan area. First, according to the analysis of the subjects' overall tendency towards satisfaction with the marriage support policy and towards marriage intention, the marriage support policy gained the highest level of support in relation to housing for newlywed couples, which scored 3.29 (sd=.93), followed by improvements in corporate and family culture for the purposes of work-family compatibility at 3.24 (sd=.95), wedding loans at 3.18 (sd=1.01), and the paid leave system for marriage preparation at 3.12 (sd=.88). These variables scored slightly higher than the median 3 points. Conversely, satisfaction with the availability of marriage-related information and the provision of opportunities for dating scored 2.65 (sd=.88) and 2.78 (sd=.80), respectively, both of which were slightly lower than the median of 3. The overall mean score for satisfaction with the marriage support policy was 3.03 (sd=.95), which was slightly higher than the median of 3. In regards to marriage intention, the score was 3.32 (sd=1.15) points out of a perfect score of 5, which was slightly higher than the median. This indicated a slightly higher level in terms of the subjects' intention to marry. Second, a hierarchical regression analysis was performed to identify the effect of satisfaction with the marriage support policy on marriage intention among unmarried employed adults. Sociodemographic variables were entered as control variables in the regression at the first stage, and variables relating to satisfaction in a family-friendly social environment were entered at the second stage. When gender, age, educational level, monthly income, period of employment, working hours, and type of employment were inserted in the first stage of regression as control variables, gender, monthly income, period of employment, and type of employment were found to have a significant effect on marriage intention. Marriage intention was found to be greater in unmarried men with higher monthly incomes and longer periods spent working, and in unmarried working men and women engaged in tenured employment work. When variables relating to satisfaction with the marriage support policy were inserted in the second stage of regression, gender, monthly income, type of employment, and satisfaction with direct marriage support had significant effects on marriage intention. It was found that marriage intention was greater in unmarried men whose monthly income was higher, whose employment type was tenured work, and who showed greater satisfaction with direct marriage support.

취업모의 모유수유 실태와 지속방안 (A Study on Performance of Breast-feeding by Employed Mother)

  • The purpose of this research was to obtain information about the performance of breast-feeding by employed mother and the supportive accommodation in the work place. The survey questionnaire was answered by 323 employed mothers who had child over the six months and visited the pediatric clinic in the hospital and the public health center in Seoul. The results were as follows : 1. Of the 323 employed mothers, 4.7% of mothers performed breast-feeding, 58.3% of mothers did artificial-feeding and 37% of mothers did mixed-feeding during the six months after birth of baby. 2. The characteristics of employed mothers found to be related breast-feeding include Age, Education, Number of Baby, Type of Delivery, Place of Delivery, Obtaining Information On Breast-Feeding. 3. The performance of breast-feeding during the work was different significantly according to the mother's job(medical and non-medical) and the method of feeding. 4. The reasons why they could not perform the breast-feeding include not enough time because of working(80.4%) and lack of knowledge about breast-feeding method with combining employment. 5. The results showed that the rest supports of the work environment was insufficient to perform breast-feeding in he workplace except maternal leave.

여성노인의 자원봉사참여 활성화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Participation toward Voluntary Activities for Elderly Women's)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influential variables of participation toward voluntary activities of elderly women's. For this purpose, the data collected 312 women's elderly in Jinju city. Statistics employed for the analysis were frequencies, logit regression and multiple regression analysis. The major results of this study were as follows; In participation intention toward voluntary activities for women's elderly, the variables which influence were job, state of health, level of life, need of voluntary activities, and satisfaction of voluntary activities in the past.

취업주부의 역할 만족도와 역할 긴장도가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Role Satisfaction and Role Strain on the Marital Satisfaction of Employed Wives)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of role satisfaction and role strain of employed wives on their marital satisfaction. Data were collected from 297 employed wives who are also mothers and reside in the city of Seoul and the province of Gyeonggi-do. Our findings are also as follows: First, employed wives showed a relatively high level of marital satisfaction. Second, when employed wives experienced less role strain, they experienced more role satisfaction. At the same time, when employed wives experienced greater role satisfaction, they also experienced greater marital satisfaction. It was also found that when employed wives experienced greater role strain they experienced less marital satisfaction. Third, our analysis partially confirmed that there were only three variables that significantly affected marital satisfaction; the age of the employed wife, the level of role satisfaction and the level of role strain.

부인과 남편의 시간배분구조 분석:가정생산모델을 중심으로 (The pattern of Time Allocation of Husbands and Wives: Based on the Household Production Approach)

  • This study examined the time allocation pattern of husbands and wives. This study investigated i)the pattern of time allocation in the light of the extent of time spent in housework child care and leisure among husbands and wives living in urban area ii) the differences in extent of time spent in such activities between wives and husbands and iii) the determinants of time spent in such activities. A system of time allocation equations based on household production theory and several hypotheses explaining the distribution of domestic work among couples were employed. According to the results the pattern of time allocation was different between wives and husbands. Regardless of women's employment status wives were more likely to have dual responsibilities than were husbands. The time equation employed in this study had more explanatory power in the pattern of time allocation of wives than of husbands and of employed wives than of non-employed wives. The sex-role ideology hypothesis was supported for non-employed wives but not for employed wives. The time availability hypothesis was supported for the time allocation of employed wives and husbands. The economic efficiency hypothesis was supported for employed wives' time allocation.

자영업 부문의 소득분포 및 소득결정요인: 분위회귀분석 (Income Distribution and Determinants of Self-Employment: Quantile Regression Analysis)

  • 본 연구에서는 자영업 부문의 소득분포 및 소득결정요인을 임금근로와 비교 분석하였다. 자영업 부문은 임금근로보다 소득편차가 크고, 부문내 이질성이 큰 집단이라는 점에서, OLS 추정과 더불어 분위회귀분석(quantile regression analysis)을 실시하였다. 주요 분석 결과를 보면, 첫째, 자영업주의 소득이 임금근로자보다 높으며, 소득분위가 높아질수록 자영업주와 임금근로자간의 소득격차가 확대된다. 둘째, 교육의 한계효과는 자영업주와 임금근로자 공히 소득분위가 높아질수록 증가하고 있어, 소득분위가 높은 집단일수록 교육에 대한 보상(가격)이 높다는 것을 알 수 있다. 단, 여성 자영업주의 경우는 예외로서, 소득분위가 높을수록 교육의 한계효과가 감소한다. 즉 소득분위가 높은 집단에 속하는 임금근로자와 남성 자영업주는 소득분위가 낮은 집단에 비해 노동시장에서 교육에 대한 보상이 더 큰 반면, 여성 자영업주는 소득분위가 높은 집단에서 교육에 대한 보상이 오히려 작다.
