임상간호사의 감정노동과 행복감의 관계에서 회복탄력성의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Resilience on the Relationship between Emotional Labor and Happiness of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between emotional labor and happiness of clinical nurses. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with 224 clinical nurses who had one or more years of clinical experiences from four general hospitals in D city in Korea. Data collected from the survey using self-reported questionnaires were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS statistics 21.0 program. Results: There were statistically significant correlations among variables; a negative correlation between happiness and emotional labor, a positive correlation between happiness and resilience, and a negative correlation between emotional labor and resilience. Meanwhile, resilience had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between emotional labor and happiness. That is, resilience can play an important role between emotional labor and happiness of clinical nurses as a mediator. Conclusion: Considering the findings of this study, developing programs that can improve resilience of clinical nurses who experience emotional labor are needed to increase their level of happiness.

  • The moderators that relieve negative effects of emotional labor have been studied such as job characteristics and situational variables. But as reviewing these studies, they focused on the degree of emotional on certain condition, there's no distinction between that degree and moderating effects. So we should focus on the moderating variables as a organizational involvement. In this study, I hypnotized the mediating effect of job stress between emotional labor and organizational effectiveness. Then I explored moderating role of 'fairness perception of emotional labor' and 'problem-focused stress coping'. This study tested these relationships using data from 166 employees of domestic security service company. From this data, I found that emotional labor increases job stress and job stress fully mediates the relationship between individual attitude(job satisfaction, turnover intention). And one who perceives display rule fairer, feels less job stress than who is not. Lastly, one who copes more problem-focused when he/she experiences job stress, have less negative effect on turnover intention.

유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 정서표현성과 결혼만족도 및 스트레스 대처방식 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Emotional Expressiveness, Marital Satisfaction, and Stress Coping Style of Preschool Mothers)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among emotional expressiveness, marital satisfaction, and stress coping styles of preschool mothers. The subjects for this study were 158 mothers whose children, 4-6 years of age, are enrolled in 5 kindergartens in Gyounsang-do. Mothers completed questionnaires reporting their emotional expressiveness, marital satisfaction, and stress coping styles. Data was analyzed by correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis through SPSS 17.0 The findings of the study are as follows: First, there are significant correlations among emotional expressiveness, marital satisfaction, and stress coping styles of the mothers, respectively. Second, mothers' active coping style is significantly influenced by three factors: negative emotional expressiveness, communication and conflict solving, and positive emotional expressiveness. Third, mothers' passive coping style is significantly influenced by three factors: the expectations of their spouse's role, intimacy, and positive emotional expressiveness. In conclusion, it is necessary to encourage mothers to express their positive or negative emotions actively and improve their marital satisfaction to cope with stress effectively.

임상간호사의 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인 - 감정노동을 중심으로 - (Factors Affecting the Burnout of Clinical Nurses - Focused on Emotional Labor -)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the factors that influence the burnout of clinical nurses. Methods: Subjects were 279 nurses in 3 university hospitals at Seoul and Gyunggi province. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS 16.0 by applying t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and Stepwise multiple regression. Result: There are significant differences between burnout and demographic characteristics, such as, age, marital status, education level, clinical career, and position. All variables except emotional labor were negatively correlated with burnout. The emotional labor was positively correlated with burnout. Job satisfaction, emotional labor, self-efficacy, and age had significant influence on nurses' burnout. The explained variances for burnout was 54.8% and job satisfaction was the most significant factor of burnout of nurses. Conclusion: Emotional labor is found to be a new factor that influences burnout. Therefore, it is necessary to establish new organizational culture through emotional education programs at the organizational level to reduce nurses' emotional labor.

  • 본 논문은 감정노동 종사자 중 항공사 콜센터에 근무하는 상담원을 대상으로 감정노동과 이직의도와의 관계와 그 관계를 조절하는 사회적 지원의 효과를 검증한 것이다. 분석결과 항공사 콜센터 상담원의 감정노동은 이직의도와의 관계에서 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 감정노동과 이직의도와의 관계에서 사회적지원은 부(-)적으로 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 상사와 동료의 지원이 상담원의 감정노동으로 표출되는 이직의도와의 관계를 감소시키는 역할을 한다는 것이다. 이러한 연구결과는 항공사 조직관리 측면에서 상담원의 감정노동 수준을 정확히 파악하여 콜센터 경쟁력에 기여하고 이는 상담원의 이직의도를 낮출 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

치과 의료기관 종사자의 감정노동과 직무스트레스가 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The effects of emotional labor and stress on job satisfaction in oral health professional)

  • Objectives : This study was to investigate the level of emotional labor and stress on job satisfaction and the significant factors influencing job satisfaction in oral health professional. Methods : Data were obtained from a cross-sectional survey of 297 oral health professional(mean age=$29.95{\pm}8.10$). Participants in the study were recruited when they attended the dental health form in Gwangju. Emotional labor was classified into two factors: external, inner. Stress consisted of four factors: sleep disorder&anxiety, self-confidence, health&vital, social role work. job satisfaction included growth development, stability chase. The data was analysed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression. Results : The mean score of emotional labor and score was 3.13 out of a maximum 7 points. job satisfaction was negatively correlated with emotional labor and stress. job satisfaction explained 32.0%. Conclusions : Based on the findings, The emotional labor and stress was correlated with job satisfaction. These results suggest that further development should be continued to develop the effective emotional labor and stress to improve the job satisfaction of oral healthcare professional.

Design of Model to Recognize Emotional States in a Speech

  • Verbal communication is the most commonly used mean of communication. A spoken word carries a lot of informations about speakers and their emotional states. In this paper we designed a model to recognize emotional states in a speech, a first phase of two phases in developing a toy machine that recognizes emotional states in a speech. We conducted an experiment to extract and analyse the emotional state of a speaker in relation with speech. To analyse the signal output we referred to three characteristics of sound as vector inputs and they are the followings: frequency, intensity, and period of tones. Also we made use of eight basic emotional parameters: surprise, anger, sadness, expectancy, acceptance, joy, hate, and fear which were portrayed by five selected students. In order to facilitate the differentiation of each spectrum features, we used the wavelet transform analysis. We applied ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System) in designing an emotion recognition model from a speech. In our findings, inference error was about 10%. The result of our experiment reveals that about 85% of the model applied is effective and reliable.

가족특성과 생활습관이 아동의 정서문제에 미치는 영향: 초등 2학년 아동을 중심으로 (Effects of Family Characteristics and Life-Styles on Children's Emotional Problems: The Second Grade Elementary Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate children's emotional problems (attention problem, aggression, somatic symptom, social withdrawal, depression) and to examine the relationship between children's emotional problems with family characteristics (parent education, parent job, family income), life-styles (gaming times, TV times, sleep time). The sample was 2,140 collections of second grade children and their parents who participated in Korea Youth Panel Survey on 2011. We analyzed the data which were collected by means of questionnaires and the data were analyzed with t -test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis with SPSS ver. 19.0. The results were summarized as follows. The level of children's emotional problem was relatively low on average. There is a significant difference in the children's emotional problems according to family characteristics and life-styles. There was a relationship between children's emotional problems (attention problem, aggression, somatic symptom, social withdrawal, depression) and life-styles (gaming times, TV times). The significant factors influencing the children's emotional problems are connected with father's education, mother's job, family income, family characteristics, gaming time and TV time of life style. It is noted that parent education level was an important factor for children's attention problem and aggression. Amongst children's life-styles, gaming time and TV time are negative factors for social withdrawal and depression.

물리적 환경이 레스토랑 종사원의 감정 반응과 집단응집력에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Physical Environment on Restaurant Employees' Emotional Responses and Group Cohesiveness)

  • This research examines how various dimensions of physical environments influence employees' emotional responses in restaurants, and how these emotional responses, in turn, influence employees' group cohesiveness. The result of empirical research indicates that restaurant physical environments have a significant effect on employees' emotional responses, and that these psychological experiences serve as critical mediators in the physical environment-group cohesiveness relationship in restaurants. However, the effects of physical environ-ments of restaurants on employees' psychological responses varied with the dimensions of physical environ-ments. First, the effect of spatial layout and functionality on pleasure and dominance was significant, not on arousal. Second, ambient factors influence on all dimensions of emotional responses, including the arousal level. In turn, all dimensions of emotional responses have significant effects on employees' group cohesive-ness. Therefore, the result suggests that restaurants should manage(or, improve) their physical environment conditions for inducing employees' positive emotional responses.

  • 이 논문에서 우리는 다중 감정 에이전트를 이용한 자동 이야기 생성 시스템을 제안한다. 다중 감정 에이전트는 서로 다른 감정 모델을 가진 에이전트를 말하며 이러한 에이전트가 서로 작용하여 새로운 상황을 생성해 나가는 것이다. 이러한 다중 에이전트는 기본적으로 아바타나 컴퓨터 게임에서 NPC 로 사용될 수 있다. 제안된 시스템에서 감정 에이전트는 성격이나 선호도가 서로 다른 등장인물로 사용되며, 이러한 시스템에 의해 생성된 이야기는 여러 성격을 가진 다중 에이전트의 사용으로 매우 현실적인 이야기 생성을 가능하게 한다.
