방사선 치료를 받는 자궁경부암 환자의 가족지지와 성격이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (A study on the relationship of family support and personality with quality of life in the Patients receiving radiotherapy for cervix cancer)

  • This descriptive correlational study was undertaken in order to investigate the relationship of family support and personality with quality of life in patients receiving radiotherapy for cervix cancer and to provide basic data to help them improve a better quality of life. The subjects for this study Were 80 out-patients undergoing a radiation therapy at C university hospital in K-city, from April, 1992 to October, 1994. The data were obtained using a convenience sampling technique. The tools used for this study were Ro's quality of life scale, Kang's family support scale and Wallston & others health locus of control scale. The collected data were analyzed by the SAS program using percentage, mean, standard deviation, pearson's correlation coefficients. The result were as follows : 1. The total average score of the quality of life of the subjects was 138.95(minimum score 121-maximum score 164), item mean score(range 1-5) was 2.95. The total average score of the family support of the subjects was 32.55 (minimum score 16-maximum score 47), item mean score(range 1-5) was 2.95 The total average score of the health locus of control of the subjects was 37.00 (minimum score 24-maximum score 49), item mean score (range 1-6) was 3.36. 2 The results of the analysis of the relationship between the quality of life scale and the health locus of control were as follows : the total average score in the quality of life of internal locus of control scale was 136.97, the total average score in the quality of life of external locus of control scale was 144.90. 3. There was a significant positive correlation between the health locus of control and the quality of life(r = 0.2927, p<0.01). The result of the analysis of the relationship between the each factor in the quality of life and health locus of control were as follows : There were significant differences between the health locus of control and emotional state factor(r=0.1514, p<0.01), economic life factor(r=0.2560, p<0.05), self-esteem factor(r=0.2289, p<0.05), physical state and function factor(r=0.1455, p<0.05), relationship with neighbors factor(r=0.0754, p<0.05), relationship with family factor (r=0.3324, p<0.01). 4. There was a significant positive correlation between the family support and the quality of life(r=0.459, p<0.001). The result of the analysis of the relationship between the each factor in the quality of life and family support were as follows : there were significant differences between family support and emotional state factor (r=0.3891, p<0.01), self-esteem factor(r=0.2661, p<0.05), relationship with family factor (r=0.4353, p<0.001).

  • The purpose of present study were to find the general trends of mate selecting factors and. marital satisfaction. concentrated on married women, to examine the difference among mate selection factors and marital satisfaction according to socio-demographic variables and Psychological variables and to analyze the effects of these variables influencing marital satisfaction. The subjects were 276 wives, living in Kwangju that having passed under S years after marriage without divorce experience. The major findings were as follows . 1. In mate selection, factor of high-degree was personality. view of value. personal relations, achievement, emotional mature. self-differentiation. degree of affection's expression. sense of humor, charms and condition of health Respondents'marital satisfaction score showed 91.75 and this score was higher than median score(62.5) 2. The external factor of mate selection showed significant difference according to degree of education. career. order. and sex-role attitude. The internal factor of mate selection showed significant difference according to degree of education, career, order, self-differentiation, self-esteem, and sex-role attitude 3. As correlating mate selectional factors to marital satisfaction, the significance appears in the mate's personality. view of value, emotional mature. personal relations. self-differentiation, condition of health. achievement. charm, sense of humor and degree of affection's expression. 4. Married women's marital satisfaction was influenced by self-esteem, personality and child's number that were explained about 38% by these variables. In conclusion, to happy marital life must be loved her own self. and above all considered internal factors like personality than external factors in mate selection.

전문간호사의 정서지능이 조직몰입과 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Clinical Nurse Specialists' Emotional Intelligence on Their Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of clinical nurse specialists' emotional intelligence on their organizational commitment and turnover intention. Methods: A descriptive study with second data analysis was conducted with permission. The original data was from the policy research on the status of clinical nurses with extended role hosted by the Hospital Nurses Association in 2007. Results: The mean score of emotional intelligence, organizational commitment, turnover intention were 58.66 (${\pm}6.63$), 46.71 (${\pm}3.54$), 12.87 (${\pm}3.98$) respectively. Emotional intelligence had 40% positive influence on organizational commitment (F=50.58, p<.01, adj.$R^2$=.16) and 24% negative influence on turnover intention (F=16.68, p<.01, adj.$R^2$=.06). Conclusion: The results recommend to develop a program that enhances clinical nurse specialists' emotional intelligence. The program could be utilized as an institutional retention strategy to increase clinical nurse specialists' organizational commitment and decrease their turnover intention.

산욕기 산모의 임신시 정서상태, 분만준비도, 산후 사회적 지지도 및 산후 우울감과의 관계연구 (A Study on the Relationship among Prenatal Emotional Status, Preparation for Delivery, Postpartum Social Support and Postpartum Blues)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the degree of prenatal emotional status, preparation for delivery, postpartum social support, and postpartum blues and to investigate the relationship of the above variables in postpartum women. Method: The subjects were 131 postpartum women. Selection criteria were women who were 2 to 8 weeks post delivery. After Informed consent was obtained, they were asked to fill out a self-administered questionnaire. The instrument was a Postnatal Depression & Anxiety check list. Result: The mean age of the subjects was 29.3 years, and 63.4% of subjects delivered their children by vaginal birth. 18.3 percent had felt depressed during their pregnancy. The mean score of the postpartum blues was 19.2. 61.8 percent of the subjects had postpartum blues and 8.4 percent experienced postpartum depression. Monthly income was negatively correlated to postpartum blues (r=-.189, p<.05), but the emotional status during pregnancy had a significant and positive relationship. However, preparation for delivery had no significant correlation with postpartum blues. While husband support and social support had a tendency to have a negative correlation. Conclusion: Further research is needed to identify the factors that affect the emotional status during pregnancy with various scales. Also, intervention programs to increase emotional support for pregnancy and husband support are needed.

중환자실 환자의 억제대 적용에 대한 가족의 정서적 반응 (Emotional Response of ICU Patients' Family toward Physical Restraints)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the emotional response of family members of physically restrained patients in the intensive care units (ICUs). Methods: The study subjects were 200 family members of ICU patients who had been on physical restraints in two university hospitals. Data were collected using the "Instrument of family's emotional response toward physically restrained patients". Results: The mean score of familial emotional response was 2.69 out of a possible 5. The subcategory of acceptance was the highest with 3.56 points followed by depression (3.02), helplessness (2.94), anxiety (2.87), shock (2.74), avoidance (2.64), and grudge (2.08). Multiple stepwise regression analysis indicated that the age of family members, side effects of restraints, and information provision were the variables influencing on negative emotional response of family. Conclusion: Family members showed slightly negative emotional response toward the physical restraints. This finding could be influenced by their limited knowledge of the need for the restraints. Educational programs or fact sheets to be given to family members may be helpful.

뇌파와 감성평가 기반의 스크린 상 특정 디스플레이 위치 선호도 평가에 관한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Preference Assessment on Individuals with Specific Display Location in Screen based on Electroencephalogram and Emotional Assessment)

  • This paper proposed a evaluation method for individual's subjective preferred location using EEG and emotional assessment. Visual stimulus were sequentially presented a total six points(the top and the bottom of the left, the top and the bottom of the center and the top and the bottom of the right on the screen). EEG were measured from twenty subjects according to each six points. At the same time, we were executed evaluation of subjects preferred location from emotional assessment. Alpha and beta wave were measured in Fp1, Fp2, F7 and F8 location, followed by ten to twenty electrode system. Correlations and variations of alpha and beta wave from each channel were calculated and analyzed. Because of the number of subjects population under 30, we used Speareman test for a correlation analysis between alpha and beta wave. Also, emotional assessments which compose of visual sense harmony, visual sense stability, stability of position and the visibility were performed and were analyzed by average and frequency. After visual stimulus, emotional assessments were performed. From the variance analysis of EEG, beta wave from F7 was appeared statistically significant as significance probability of 0.006. Also, between alpha wave and beta wave appeared a negative correlation(r=-0.190). From the post-hoc test of F7 beta wave, location 1, 5 and 6 appeared to difference statistically significant. Emotional assessment result according to six positions showed 0.00 significance probability. Thus, location and emotional assessment appeared to influence on each other. From the average and frequency analysis of emotional assessment, location 2 showed obtained of best emotional assessment score and appeared lower beta wave than other locations. Finally, most subjects showed a preference for location 2. Through obtained results in this paper, will be helpful to about human emotional assessment and EEG research.

일부 치과위생사의 공감능력과 감성지능이 정서노동에 미치는 융합적 영향 (Convergence Effects of Empathy Ability, Emotional Intelligence on Emotional Labor in some Dental Hygienists)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 치과위생사의 공감 능력, 감성 지능과 정서노동 간의 관계를 조사하는 것이다. 치과 병 의원에 근무하는 192명의 치과위생사를 대상으로 2017년 1월 동안 자체 개발 설문지에 의해 수집되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson's corelation 및 다중 회귀 분석을 사용하여 산출하였다. 정서노동의 평균 점수는 $3.61{\pm}0.24$, 공감 능력은 $3.01{\pm}0.28$, 감성 지능은 $3.47{\pm}0.24$였다. 다중 회귀 분석에서 정서 노동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 공감 능력과 정서 지능이 확인되었고, 이에 대한 설명력은 26%였다(F=13.58, p<.001). 따라서 치과 의료기관은 치과위생사의 감정노동 수준을 감소시키기 위한 중재 프로그램을 개발하고 중재할 필요가 있다.

한 대학병원 종사자의 감정노동 수준과 그에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Level of Emotional Labor among Workers in One University Hospital)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of emotional labor and to identify affecting factors on emotional labor among one university hospital employees. Material and Method : This study was based on cross-sectional, self-administered, and Internet-based survey. The survey was conducted from Mar. 2 to Mar. 28. 2011. Total subjects were 812 employees working in one university hospital. Total response rate was 61.5%. Modified evaluation tool was used, which was originally developed by Morris and Feldman, to measure the level of emotional labor among hospital personnel. In order to identify the affecting factors on high level of emotional labor, we conducted logistic regression. The SPSS statistical software package was used to perform the statistical analysis. All statistical tests were 2-sided and a p-value<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results : Average score of emotional labor was 3.06. Employees(3.39) who are working at the emergency department and hemodialysis room indicated the highest level of emotional labor, followed by wards(3.14), department of administration(3.14), department of ambulatory cares(3.06). The factors affecting on the high level of emotional labor were the highest level of schooling, types of department, and types of personality(p<0.05). Conclusion : The survey results showed that there was significant level of emotional labors among hospital employees. Therefore, the efforts to reduce the level of emotional labors are needed.

이미지 색채 속성을 활용한 감성 정량화 알고리즘 (Color Images Utilizing the Properties Emotional Quantification Algorithm)

  • 감성인식을 규칙적으로 제어하고 변화하려는 감성컴퓨터 연구에 관심이 집중되고 있다. 따라서 색채 감성컴퓨팅의 정량화한 객관적인 평가 방식 적용이 필수적인 상황이다. 이에 본 논문은 이미지 감성인식을 숫자화한 표현방식으로 색채 디지털 감성컴퓨팅 계산을 적용한다. 감성컴퓨팅 연구방식은 이미지에 집중된 감성인식인 색채 속성으로 구성하고, 색채 감성속성은 색상, 명도, 채도로 구분한다. 감성속성의 비중톤 증감에 따른 감성점수와 가중치를 감성식에 적용하여 계산한다. 감성계산식은 쾌정도(X축), 긴장도(Y축)를 계산한다. 그리고 감성좌표에 쾌정도(X축), 긴장도(Y축)의 교차점을 감성점으로 위치한다. 감성좌표는 러셀의 핵심 효과(Core Affect)를 활용한다. 감성점 위치에서 대표감성크기와 감성상관관계를 숫자화하고, 색채 감성컴퓨팅을 통해 정량화한다.

간호사의 감성지능이 자기효능감과 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향 - 자기효능감의 매개효과 검증 - (The Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Self-Efficacy and Job Stress of Nurses - Mediating Role of Self-Efficacy -)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the relationship among emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and job stress of nurses. Method: Data was collected from convenient sample of 265 nurses who work for a university hospital in a city. The Questionnaire measured the level of emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and job stress of nurses. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, scheffe' test, pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression. Result: The mean score of emotional intelligence was 3.41(${\pm}.37$), self-efficacy was 3.27(${\pm}.45$) and job stress was 3.35(${\pm}.65$). There were significant differences on self-efficacy according to age, marital status and education level. And there were significant differences on job stress according to age, working unit. It was a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. The emotional intelligence and self-efficacy were significantly negative correlation with job stress. The emotional intelligence explained 24.8% of self-efficacy and 1.9% of job stress and self-efficacy explained 2.7% of job stress. And the self-efficacy was showed a mediate variable between emotional intelligence and job stress. Conclusion: To decrease job stress, nursing managers ought to develop the emotional intelligence and self-efficacy of nurses, reinforce as a mediating role between emotional intelligence and job stress
