  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the possibility of job-related risk, emotional labor, and emotional leadership on the job turnover intention of caregivers working at the long-term care facilities in Korea. For the study, survey data of 434 caregivers at senior nursing homes were collected and analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression method. The results showed that high level of caregivers'perception of both the possibility of management risk and employee risk led to increased turnover intention. On the other hand, perception of the possibility of social-disaster risk did not give significant impact on turnover intention. Although the perception of the possibility of service user risk gave statistically significant effect on the turnover intention, the direction was the opposite to the one set at the research hypothesis. Frequent camouflage behavior("surface acting") of caregivers, which is the kind of emotional labor led to increased turnover intention. However, caregivers'behavior consistent with their inner warm heart("deep acting") did not lead to a statistically significant result. Lastly, the more caregivers perceive their superiors'emotionally supportive leadership, the lower possibility of turnover intention. Based on the above result, the researchers suggested several intervention methods in order to prevent turnover of caregivers and improve service quality of long-term care institutions.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyse the principles and methods of Taegyo-Singi with regard to emotion and to review basic informations on Taegyo programs for promoting prenatal development. Taegyo-Singi was analyzed as follows. First, the contents of Taegyo-Singi were classified into principles and methods of Taegyo. Second, the domains of emotion were categorized into emotional perception, emotional expression, emotional understanding, and emotional regulation based on the classification of Mayer and Salovey, and Moon. Third, the contents of Taegyo-Singi were classified into the four domains of emotion. Finally, the reliability and validity of the classification were obtained through inter-rater agreement and analysis of content validity. The results indicated that first, the principles of Taegyo presuppose parental influence on temperament formation, and that the emotional states of the mother in the prenatal and prepregnancy period is the most influential variable in a child's temperament formation. Second, the methods of Taegyo presuppose that the human mind interacts with their behavior. Therefore, through emotional support of family members, 'jon-sim (the serene mind)' and 'chung-sim (the mind from rectitude)' are the key methods of Taegyo. This means that the Korean tradition of Taegyo focused on the emotional domain of development, especially emotional regulation. This coincides with the emotion-focused temperament theory that individual differences in temperament reflect individual differences in emotion.

  • The Korean version of the therapeutic relationship scaled for parents was administered to 156 Korean parents and 51 therapists. Statistical analysis of the data showed that highly educated parents who graduated from university had the most negative emotional perceptions against therapists. Working class parents made more positive therapeutic helping relationships as assistants though they also had negative emotional relationships. Differences in perception of emotional relationships between parents and therapists were found even when there were no differences in the therapeutic helpfulness of the relationship. That is, when effectiveness of the therapeutic relationship was held constant, perceptual disagreement about the emotional relationship between parents and therapists was more prevalent than agreement about the emotional relationship.

  • This study examined the consciousness of husbands and wives on babies' cries and its factors which have impacts on their emotional perceptions. For this study, infants' cries were recorded with the participation of 136 pregnant women and 76 husbands, and they conducted self-evaluations regarding their emotional perceptions and personal characteristics. The stimulus used to exhibit the cries of infants were from eighteen recorded cry sample under three situations (hunger, pain, and mother's absence) with six healthy infants (three male and three female) who are over six months. Also, this study dealt with the relationship between emotional assessment and the personal characteristics of mothers and fathers. As a result, the experience of child-rearing has a positive influence on the emotional cry perceptions of husbands and wives, and there was no sex difference in their emotional cry perceptions. A change of recognition, "being parents," has impacts on emotional cry perceptions, but the major factors increasing these impacts depend on the physiological changes of pregnant women and their personal characteristics.

The analysis drew out the following results. Third, as a result of verifying the effect of inherent values on turnover intent according to emotional support, the study revealed that turnover intent increased, as the perception of emotional support increased, on condition that the item, value of knowledge seeking, among inherent values, was perceived highly, On the other hand, if the item, relationship-centered, scored highly among inherent values, then the higher the perception of emotional support, the lower the turnover intent. Fourth, as a result of verifying the effect of extrinsic values on turnover intent according to emotional support, the study revealed that turnover intent decreased, as the perception of emotional support increased, on condition that the value of economic priority, among extrinsic values, was perceived highly. On the other hand, if the item, face-saving, scored highly among extrinsic values, then the higher the perception of emotional support, the higher the turnover intent. Fifth, as a result of verifying the differing effect of inherent values according to methodical support, the study revealed that turnover intent increased as the perception of methodical support increased, if the item, knowledge-seeking among inherent values was perceived highly. Sixth, as a result of verifying the differing effect of extrinsic values according to methodical support, the study revealed that turnover intent decreased as the perception of methodical support increased, if the item, economic priority among extrinsic values was perceived highly. On the other hand, if the item, face-saving, among extrinsic values, was perceived highly, the higher the perception of methodical support, the higher the turnover intent.

  • The atmosphere is a popular word in everyday life. There is often an atmosphere when we enter a particular place. As if to say, The mood is perceived as an emotional and subjective word. Atmosphere is subjective and there are different feelings, but there are definitely certain feelings that people can relate to. The researcher examines the question in the paper and analyzes how the atmosphere in the space could be explained. So I will research about $B{\ddot{o}}hme^{\prime}s$ aesthetics which is called atmosphere. and analysis how his atmosphere is applied in nowadays art. So this study has two purposes. First is the notion of the atmosphere, not the atmosphere of rational perspective, it's about emotional and perceptual experiences. Therefore a connection about audience and arts is the most important focus in atmosphere. So the other purpose is Olafur Eliasson's Atmosphere. he is an artist about this perception. His work requires spectator intervention and participation to make it a perfect art. There is also a element in Eliasson's philosophy, in which the perceptual experiences of visitor's relationship between the work and the viewer, and eliminates the boundary as a perceptual expression.
