Given the characteristics of the good, consumers demand high-quality information and guides from the salespersons when they decide to purchase an automobile. Sales representatives provide service to the customers in accordance with their needs to help purchase decision-making process. Therefore, a sales representative's personal competence have a significant effect on sales performance. Based on this hypothesis, we assumed that personal competence of a salesperson has a positive correlation with sales performance. An empirical analysis was conducted to test the hypothesis. This study classifies personal competence into 4 independent variables((1) sales technique professionalism (2) salesperson's attitude and relationship with customers (3) emotion utilization (4) emotion control) and measures the correlation with the dependent variable(sales performance). To verify the relationship, we set and modified the hypothesis based on the precedent studies and researches. In addiction, a survey was conducted targeting 300 local salespersons from Gyeonggi-Gangwon region. 268 valid samples were used and analyzed with SPSS WIN24.0 statistical program. As a result of an empirical analysis, it turned out that sales technique professionalism and emotion utilization have positive correlation with sales performance. However, the result failed to support the assumption that sales representative's attitude and relationship with customers and emotion control have positive correlation with sales performance. At last the result revealed that personal competence should be considered as an important determinant of recruitment specification for sales representatives.

To do this, 71 students from 4th to 6th graders of two gifted science education center in Seoul were selected. Scientific emoticons made by the students were analyzed according to the number and types. Their perceptions on making scientific emoticons were also analyzed through a questionnaire and group interviews. In the analyses for types of text in the scientific emoticons, 'word type' and 'sentence type' were made more than 'question and answer type'. And the majority of students made more 'pun using pronunciation type' and 'mixed type' than other types. They also made more 'graphic type' and 'animation type' than 'text type' in the images of the scientific emoticons. In the analyses for the information of the scientific emoticons, 'positive emotion type' and 'negative emotion type' of scientific emoticons were made evenly. The students made more 'new creation type' than 'partial correction type' and 'entire reconstruction type'. They also used scientific knowledge that preceded the knowledge of science curriculum in their grade level. The scientific knowledge of chemistry was used more than physics, biology, earth science, and combination field. 'Name utilization type' was more than 'characteristic utilization type' and 'principle utilization type'. Students had various positive perceptions in making scientific emoticons such as 'increase of scientific knowledge', 'increase of various higher-order thinking abilities', 'ease of explanation, use, memory, and understanding of scientific knowledge', 'increase of fun, enjoyment, and interest about science and science learning', and 'increase of opportunity to express emotions'. They were also aware of some limitations related to 'difficulties in the process of making scientific emoticons', 'lack of time', and 'limit that it may end just for fun'. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

  • Recently, consumers are tend to purchase the user-centered designed product using interface enginnering and human factors techniques. Therefore, it is important that the designer's requirements should be analyzed focused on the human machine interface. This paper described the interface usability evaluation technique(suvjective evaluation) for the interface between user and product. This methodology is the integrated interface usbility evaluation method AHP and Conjoint Analysis. AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is a multicriteria decision model to give priority after expressing hierarchically for decision making problem. Conjoint Analysis enduavors to unravel the value, or partworths, that consumers place on the product or service's attributes from experimental subjects' evluation of profiles based on hypothetical products or services. • Online communities are an important source of electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). However, few studies have examined the use of such messages within the Middle Eastern context. This study focuses on Saudi women as members of an online beauty forum. Previous work suggested a mediating effect of gender, with women being more likely to trust word-of-mouth and follow it up with a purchase. A conceptual model with a theoretical underpinning from existing contributions in literature provides the basis of a coding framework for the message characteristics that influence members' e-WOM adoption. A total of 310 threads and 2200 messages coded into 5725 units were content analyzed to demonstrate cases where e-WOM was adopted and indicate further continuance intention with members returning to the forum. A new category of 'community bonding' was created from the content analysis given the prevalence of emotional aspects in messages. Emotion expressed in messages, often expressed in religious terms, is as influential and important as the cognitive aspects of community bonding.

  • Purpose: We explored emergency nurses' experiences of coping with moral distress. Methods: A qualitative research design was used. We conducted in-depth interviews with 11 nurses working at a regional emergency medical center in South Korea. Data were analyzed using conventional content analysis. Results: The main theme of nurses' coping with moral distress was "a passive emotion-based response." We also extracted three categories of coping strategies: "uncritical adaptation to anguished situation," "self-justification for not acting," and "flight from ethical decision making." Conclusion: Nurses coped with moral distress in a passive and emotional way, possibly because of perceived incompetence and compliance to an organizational hierarchy. The findings imply that effective approaches to addressing moral distress in emergency nurses are needed at the individual and organizational levels.
