In this paper, a database is collected for extending the speech synthesis model to a model that synthesizes speech according to emotions and generating facial expressions. The database is divided into male and female data, and consists of emotional speech and facial expressions. Two professional actors of different genders speak sentences in Korean. Sentences are divided into four emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, and neutrality. Each actor plays about 3300 sentences per emotion. A total of 26468 sentences collected by filming this are not overlap and contain expression similar to the corresponding emotion. Since building a high-quality database is important for the performance of future research, the database is assessed on emotional category, intensity, and genuineness. In order to find out the accuracy according to the modality of data, the database is divided into audio-video data, audio data, and video data.
Objectives : This paper examines the medical treatise and treatment methods of Zhang Jiebin on the depressive pattern, for clinical application today. Methods : The Zazhengmo/Yuzheng chapter of the Jingyue Quanshu, related texts and annotations of the Huangdineijing, and related contents among the medical texts of the JinYuan masters were analyzed. Developmental process of the medical theories were compared and examined. Results : Zhang focused on the mechanism in which emotion affects Qi leading to a disease state, and categorized Yu[鬱, depressed state] into three: anger depression, contemplative depression and comprehensive depression. The concept of the Five Depressive Patterns and its treatment from the Huangdineijing·Suwen which was considered as excess pattern was expanded to include deficiency pattern based on comparison with annotations of Wangbing, Hwashou, and Wang Andao. Treatment methods centered on purging was also expanded to include tonifying to restore the damaged Jing Qi. The depressive patterns anger depression, contemplative depression and comprehensive depression were subdivided according to excess and deficiency, for which formulas such as Shenxiangsan, Shoupijian, Guipitang were suggested. As the depressive pattern is caused by emotions and thus the Heart, the Yiqingbianqi method that directly deals with emotions was suggested. Zhang adopted Zhu Zhenheng's opinion which expands the category of Yu, and in the perspective of excess/deficiency, it is most similar to that of Li Dongyuan. Conclusions : Before Zhang, the depressive pattern was discussed in terms of it being excess pattern. However, Zhang's discussion on depressive pattern based on anger depression, contemplative depression and comprehensive depression focuses on emotional stagnation while suggesting the possibility of deficient stagnation, expanding previous understanding. In terms of treatment, tonifying methods for deficiency pattern was added, while consideration of emotion itself became necessary in treatment.
The CEOs of global companies have been realized the imagination and creativity that can be obtained from the corporate culture is the crucial competitive power for sustainable growth. Thus, most domestic companies take an increasing interest in how to make creativity efficiently. This paper, however, argues that the proper application of performance indicators can engender creativity and innovation in organizations without costly investing on creativity. Assuming that creativity is actually dominated by the emotion of human resources rather than the rationality, this paper suggests the performance indicators developed based on the viewpoint of the characteristics of human needs and the relationship between the human needs and the attribute of works. The performance system which consists of activity, sociality and creativity is presented and the performance indicators for each category are also suggested to improve the spontaneity and creativity of human resources.
Online communities are an important source of electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). However, few studies have examined the use of such messages within the Middle Eastern context. This study focuses on Saudi women as members of an online beauty forum. Previous work suggested a mediating effect of gender, with women being more likely to trust word-of-mouth and follow it up with a purchase. A conceptual model with a theoretical underpinning from existing contributions in literature provides the basis of a coding framework for the message characteristics that influence members' e-WOM adoption. A total of 310 threads and 2200 messages coded into 5725 units were content analyzed to demonstrate cases where e-WOM was adopted and indicate further continuance intention with members returning to the forum. A new category of 'community bonding' was created from the content analysis given the prevalence of emotional aspects in messages. Emotion expressed in messages, often expressed in religious terms, is as influential and important as the cognitive aspects of community bonding.
Online communities are an important source of electronic-word-of-mouth (eWOM), however few studies have examined these types of messages within the Middle Eastern context. This study focuses on Kuwaiti women as members of an online beauty forum; previous work has suggested a mediating effect of gender with women being more likely to trust and follow-up word-of-mouth with a purchase. A conceptual model, based on existing theoretical contributions, provides the basis of a coding framework for the message characteristics that influence members' eWOM adoption. A sub-set of the analysis is presented: 218 threads (1820 messages, coded into 6702 units) illustrating cases where eWOM was adopted and thereby demonstrating continuance intention with members returning to the forum. Content analysis revealed the prevalence of emotional aspects in messages, coded into a new category of 'community bonding'. Findings show that emotion expressed in messages is as influential and important as cognitive aspects of argument quality.
Dreams are experiences of life that is recognized to have taken place in .the mind while asleep. The phenomenon of dreams is occured by external stimuli such as somatic factor and emotion-arousing pre-sleep stimuli. The contents of dreams reflect the dreamer's unique psychic situation, we can view them from category of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements(陰陽五行). Also dreams are characterized by an objectivity that provides whatever in necessary for psychic balance, regardless of the ego's wishes. Hence dreams are objective sources of psychotherapy. The doctor must not treat patient by the doctor's subject mind. The Orient has taken the idea that human beings have the divine center in the heart, so dreams in the psychotherapy of the oriental medicine are more valuable as representation of inner world. The images of dream are classified as the deficiency and excessiveness of Yin-Ki and Yang-Ki of the internal organs, an property and source of stimulus. Dream applies to diagnose the disease of internal organs and to decide to the method of medical treatment.
This study aimed to investigate the use of music and imagery (MI) as a method for promoting mindfulness. A total of 11 music therapy interns participated in an MI group over 8 weeks. Statements from participants during the program were transcribed and analyzed using the method of modified grounded theory. The results showed that the participants' statements fell into three categories: awareness, acceptance, and distancing. For each category, subcategories were identified. For the category of awareness, the subcategories were emotion, sensation, and thoughts. For the acceptance category, the subcategories were facing and broadening viewpoints. For the distancing category, the subcategories were dissociation from emotions. Each subcategory was further analyzed. The results showed that the participants' experiences were similar to one another in terms of type but differed in terms of dimension varied. These results support the use of MI for increasing mindfulness and reducing burnout in music therapy interns. Further studies are recommended to investigate the factors for the experience of mindfulness induced by MI processes.
There are life-style and many different cultural differences between countries. Among them, food is different from other areas. Especially, if Food Tools are used by food type, even though the design factor is same, the function is different. Therefore, research and development of a Food Tool design is necessary to use a Universal Food Tool between countries. The purpose of this research is to develop a behavior analysis process for food, finding similarities and differences by food type; and cultural differences between countries; and to propose a design Food Tool design that can be used between countries. This research on methods and content is for the development of the consumer behavior analysis process about food, grafting theoretical studies about behavior analysis and working behavior analysis on the spot, to develop a food action analysis process. Second, do comparative analysis process of food order and evaluation between countries; and think about the problems and symptoms, then propose methods to resolve the problems. Third, each process is divided by category, to find the features by each category of foods between countries. Results may be obtained through research and the comparative analysis of each country's, foods, behavior and restaurant types. Specifically, researchers can use food tool design to obtain results and compare the same items between countries, compare university design education, and create new ideas through cooperation and complementary research.
New design method has been required for web designers to grasp the proper emotion, impression, and feeling of a web site and reflect these elements in web design. It is certain that such a new methodology can be a useful design tool, although web designers have only relied on their intuition and experience to induce users to perceive specific emotion of web sites. In this study, Kansei Engineering Type Ⅰ (Nagamachi, 2002 and Park, 2000) method was applied to develop the methodology. One hundred thirty six web sites believed to convey emotions effectively were first selected by recommendation of professional web designers and twenty two web sites were finally chosen and evaluated using questionnaire. The web sites were then objectively and quantitatively assessed by measuring the degree of utilization of the design elements, balance, overall density, and homogeneity. We examined the cause-and-effect between the results of emotional and quantitative analysis by multiple regression and introduced the design methodology based on the examination. The research method and procedures applied to this study would be applicable to design studies related to the emotional inducement.
Using the adaptation aftereffect paradigm, this study investigated whether adaptation to baby schema features of the face and body could affect facial age perceptions. In Experiment 1, participants were asked to determine whether the test faces that morphed at a certain ratio of a baby face and an adult face were perceived as 'baby' or 'adult' after being adapted to either a baby or an adult face. The result of Experiment 1 showed that after being adapted to baby faces, test faces were assessed as belonging to an adult more often than when being adapted to adult faces. In the subsequent experiments, participants carried out the same facial age judgment task after being adapted to baby or adult body silhouettes (Experiment 2) or hand images (Experiment 3). The results revealed that age perceptions were biased in the direction of the adaptors (i.e., an assimilative aftereffect) after adaptation to body silhouettes (Experiment 2) but did not change after being adapted to hands (Experiment 3). The present study showed that contrastive aftereffects in the perception of facial age were induced by adaptation to the baby face but failed to determine the cross-category transfer of age adaptation from hands or body silhouettes to faces.
