  • It disposes positively in the air pollution damage which is serious, in order help period the place where it improves the quality of existence and life of the local residents. It removed the offensive odor regulation material and the technique it will be able to prevent to sleep it researched it did. After scattering the GNC solution which develops the offensive odor regulation material which occurs from the food and trash treatment plant which is located to the S from the H, company after scattering the GNC solution which it develops collection it did a control criminal record control kind air and it analyzed. In this study, we investigated the emission concentrations of offensive odorous compounds of hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide, trimethylamine, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, buthylaldehyde, iso-valeric aldehyde, n-valeric aldehyde, ammonia. The concentrations of odorous compounds are determined by gas chromatography, HPLC and uv-vis spectroscopy. Hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide were not detected at any point examined.

  • Senescence of Hosta ventricosa flowers was firstly characterized as ethylene-sensitive since the deterioration of the tepal was accompanied by increased endogenous ethylene biosynthesis. The full-length cDNAs and DNAs of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) synthase (ACS) and ACC oxidase (ACO) involved in ethylene biosynthesis were cloned from H. ventricosa flowers. The HvACS ORF with 1347 bp and two introns, encoded a polypeptide of 448 amino acids showing 79% homology with that in Musa acuminata. The HvACO ORF contained 957 bp and three introns, encoding a 318-residue polypeptide showing 83% homology with that in Narcissus tazetta. The timing of the induction of HvACS expression was in correspond to the timing of the increase in ethylene production, and that the up-regulation of HvACO transcript was closely correlated with an elevated ethylene production, but underwent a down-regulation in wounded leaves with elevated ethylene emission. The results, together with expression analysis in vegetative tissues, suggested that both HvACS and HvACO were specifically regulated by flower senescence.

  • The regulation of the $CO_2$ emit from vehicles have become much more stringent in recent years. This stringent regulation is more request vehicle manufacturers to develop the alternative fuel vehicles for reducing exhaust emissions. LPG fuel is more clean energy compares with gasoline and diesel fuel. Especially, $CO_2$ emission of LPG Vehicle is less than gasoline vehicle and almost equal to diesel vehicle. For this reason, recently korean government is extending LPG fuel for hybrid car and light duty vehicle. In domestic, Propane is mixing $15{\sim}30%$ to butane for improvement of cold start at winter season. Therefore, In this paper was investigated that the characteristics of emissions according to propane mixing rate with 0, 10, 20, 30% were compared and analyzed by the vehicle test using LPG vehicle according to the FTP75 mode. It was also investigated the characteristics of nano-particle emit with propane mixing rate.

  • Sapkyo Lake Watershed occupies about 19.3% of total area of Chungnam Province, and it is necessary to make a plan of counter-measure for the maintenance of public waterbody sound as well as to ensure water resources due to urbanization and industrialization in this area so densely populated and excessively developed. Conventionally water quality management has been enforced by concentration-based system which is not considered the carrying capacity of receptors, hence there are no proper measures for the prevention of an excessive pollutant load over a waterbody. So even though emission sources abide by the conventional permission regulation, then the quantity of wastewater is increased continuously and encountered water shortage to use finally. Therefore this research focused on the review of introduction of total water quality management system in Sapkyo Lake watershed to maintain public waterbody sound and to ensure water resources. By doing this research in introduction of the system in advance, it can contribute to establish the methodology on systematic water quality management. Also the application of this system in Sapkyo Lake watershed can promote the sustainable development of the area by harmonizing the environment and regional economy ultimately.

Development of High Efficiency and Low Pollutant Cogeneration Hybrid System (고효율 저공해 열병합발전 하이브리드 시스템 개발)

  • The importance of the more efficient cogeneration system is emphasized. Also the more clean energy is needed at recent energy system. The cogeneration system using Lean burn engine is more preferred to the system using Rich burn engine because of the electrical efficiency. Although the cogeneration system using Lean burn engine is economically preferred, because of the NOx emission level, the system using Rich burn engine with 3-way catalyst can only be used in Korea. The NOx regulation level is 50ppm at oxygen level 13%. The cogeneration hybrid system is consist of Lean burn gas engine, afterburner, boiler, economizer, DeNOx catalyst, combustion catalyst, absorption chiller, cooling tower and grid connection system. The system was accurately evaluated and the result is following ; 90% total efficiency, below 10ppm NOx, 50ppm CO, 25ppm UHC. The cogeneration hybrid system can meet the NOx level and exhaust gas regulation. It can achieve the clean combustion gas and efficient cogeneration system.

  • Diesel PM can be controlled using Diesel Particulate Filter, which can effectively reduce the level of soot emissions to ambient background levels. In the Heavy Duty Diesel area, the Continuously Regeneration trap has been widely applied in the retrofit market. As the Special act for the improvement of air quality in the capital area, the retrofit program for DPF to used diesel vehicle has progressed favorably and there are currently over 1,000 of these DPF in use in retrofit applications in korea. These DPF comprise a specially formulated Diesel Oxidation Catalyst upstream of a DPF. The $NO_2$ generated by the DOC is used to combust the carbon collected in the DPF at low temperature. To certificate DPF device that is suitable to domestic circumstances, it is necessary to evaluate exactly the DPF devices according to the regulation of DPF certificate test procedure for retrofit(ministry of environment(MOE) announcement NO. 2005-16). To do so the understand of that regulation like the standard of PM reduction rate is needed. In this study the test procedure including test cycle and BPT test condition was examined and also the test result for specific DPF was analyzed. In every test like field test, PM reduction efficiency test and seoul-10 mode test, no defect could be showed.

Effect of the Mg Ion Containing Oxide Films on the Biocompatibility of Plasma Electrolytic Oxidized Ti-6Al-4V

  • In this study, we prepared magnesium ion containing oxide films formed on the Ti-6Al-4V using plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) treatment. Ti-6Al-4V surface was treated using PEO in Mg containing electrolytes at 270V for 5 min. The phase, composition and morphology of the Mg ion containing oxide films were evaluated with X-ray diffraction (XRD), Attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) and filed-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS). The biocompatibility of Mg ion containing oxide films was evaluated by immersing in simulated body fluid (SBF). According to surface properties of PEO films, the optimum condition was formed when the applied was 270 V. The PEO films formed in the condition contained the properties of porosity, anatase phase, and near 1.7 Ca(Mg)/P ratio in the oxide film. Our experimental results demonstrate that Mg ion containing oxide promotes bone like apatite nucleation and growth from SBF. The phase and morphologies of bone like apatite were influenced by the Mg ion concentration.

  • Since the global warming problem emerged in the international community, the problem has been sought to be not at the national but at the global level. As a result, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was agreed by international delegates in 1992, and the Kyoto Protocol which imposes industrialized nations to decrease their greenhouse gas emission was agreed by the international community in 1997. Kyoto protocol came into effect for reduction duty of greenhouse gas.(16-Feb-2005) High developed countries press environmental regulation. It will strengthen an environment regulation from advanced nation with this protocol. This study is intended to examine unfolding transition on negotiations of Conference of Parties(COP), the Kyoto Mechanism referred as a cost-effective tool to meet a targeted level of greenhouse gas decrease, and trends in responses of developed countries to the Kyoto Protocol, and finally suggests legal and politic counterplans responding to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (hereafter, UNFCCC).

A Study on the Certified Ground Source Heat Pump and Performance Analysis (지열원 히트펌프 유닛 인증 현황 및 성능 분석에 관한 연구)

  • To reduce energy consumption and CO2 emission in building sector, a ground source heat pump system has been highly adopted due to its high efficient by many regulation. A certification system has been operated to distribute reliable and high-efficient heat pump units. In this study, the performance status of the recently certified ground source heat pump unit with components was investigated. All heat pump units certified from 2015 to 2020 were water to water heat pump types. Compared to the past, higher capacity systems over 400 kW have been certificed. The cooling COP of the heat pump unit based on certification criteria showed higher value than the heating COP. It is highly recommended to revise the certified criteria values considering operating conditions individually. Most of ground source heat pump units have employed scroll type compressors and plate type heat exchangers with HFC refrigerant.

A Study on the Ship Recycling in Northeast Asia for Sustainable Future (동북아 역내의 지속가능한 선박해체에 관한 연구)

  • The ship recycling or scrap is a phenomenon in the process of vessels life cycle has ended in the shipping industry. Scrap are greatly affected by freight rates due to ship demands. Not only that, environmental regulation and economic scale vessel demand are processes that must exist in the shipping industry as they obtain management for existing vessels. In the past, shipbreaking yard had tried to work without protection for poverty, without poor working conditions and facilities to prevent the emission of harmful substances. However, the issue of environmental pollution has been raised the Basel and Hong Kong Convention have been adopted, and a new replacement of the ship scrap that induces serious pollution is required. In this study, 165 countries were analyzed to confirm the importance of determining the ship solution. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the Environmental Performance Index, which is a measure of environmental regulation, is the most influential factor of ship scrapped volume. The determinant of whether lower labor cost can be secured is more correlated with population than GDP per capita. The implications of the results of the regression analysis mean that if environmental regulations for ship scrap of the future are strengthened, the status of Bangladesh and Pakistan, which currently account for half of the world's ship recycling, may change.
