Recently various applications have been proposed to improve supply chain process and management by not only using various management theories such as JIT(just In Time) and SCM(Supply Chain Management) but also utilizing emerging technology like RFID(Radio Frequency Identification). But existing research was merely focused on the use of the theories and technology on a particular work or material. Therefore, the objective of this study is to derive basic types of construction supply chain management which spans from manufacturing to installation at the construction site. This research proposes the seven types of construction supply chain processes, which has been derived based on the progress management theory and budget items for construction project. It is expected that the result of this study can be applied for RFID-based construction supply chain management as well as more efficiencies in various management areas.
Defense-in-depth is a fundamental safety principle for the design and operation of nuclear power plants. Despite its general appeal, defense-in-depth is not without its drawbacks, which include its potential for concealing the occurrence of hazardous states in a system, and more generally rendering the latter more opaque for its operators and managers, thus resulting in safety blind spots. This in turn translates into a shrinking of the time window available for operators to identify an unfolding hazardous condition or situation and intervene to abate it. To prevent this drawback from materializing, we propose in this work a novel safety principle termed "observability-in-depth". We characterize it as the set of provisions technical, operational, and organizational designed to enable the monitoring and identification of emerging hazardous conditions and accident pathogens in real-time and over different time-scales. Observability-in-depth also requires the monitoring of conditions of all safety barriers that implement defense-in-depth; and in so doing it supports sensemaking of identified hazardous conditions, and the understanding of potential accident sequences that might follow (how they can propagate). Observability-in-depth is thus an information-centric principle, and its importance in accident prevention is in the value of the information it provides and actions or safety interventions it spurs. We examine several "event reports" from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission database, which illustrate specific instances of violation of the observability-in-depth safety principle and the consequences that followed (e.g., unmonitored releases and loss of containments). We also revisit the Three Mile Island accident in light of the proposed principle, and identify causes and consequences of the lack of observability-in-depth related to this accident sequence. We illustrate both the benefits of adopting the observability-in-depth safety principle and the adverse consequences when this principle is violated or not implemented. This work constitutes a first step in the development of the observability-in-depth safety principle, and we hope this effort invites other researchers and safety professionals to further explore and develop this principle and its implementation.

RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) which is emerging from a change in digital convergence paradigm and recently rapidly advancing throughout the overall society is the core technology based on Ubiquitous network. In other words, This is a technology to identify the information of the object and recognize the situation by attaching electrical tag to an object and using Reader that can read the information of the object. With the emergence of the technology, it has turned the existing maintenance of the product into the network and intelligence of the product control by using the bar cord to maintain the product and will lead a revolution throughout overall society by affecting the fields of distribution and product maintenance as well as those of medicines, chemicals and food which the electrical tag can be attached to. this paper shows that utilizing the Bluetooth which is a local wireless telecommunication in the standalone imbedded system can implement the piconet configuration among the Readers and the data telecommunication with the main server

Space systems are operating in a changing and uncertain space environment and are desired to have autonomous capability for long periods of time without frequent telecommunications from the ground station At the same time. requirements for new set of projects/systems calling for ""autonomous"" operations for long unattended periods of time are emerging. Since, by the nature of space systems, it is desired that they perform their mission flawlessly and also it is of extreme importance to have fault-tolerant sensor/actuator sub-systems for the purpose of validating science measurement data for the mission success. Technology innovations attendant on autonomous data validation and health monitoring are articulated for a growing class of autonomous operations of space systems. The greatest need is on focus research effort to the development of a new class of fault-tolerant space systems such as attitude actuators and sensors as well as validation of measurement data from scientific instruments. The characterization for the next step in evolving the existing control processes to an autonomous posture is to embed intelligence into actively control. modify parameters and select sensor/actuator subsystems based on statistical parameters of the measurement errors in real-time. This research focuses on the identification/demonstration of critical technology innovations that will be applied to Autonomous Spacecraft Health Monitoring/Data Validation Control Systems (ASHMDVCS). Systems (ASHMDVCS).

RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is an emerging technology which brings enormous productivity benefits in applications where objects have to be identified automatically. But despite of RFID's advantage, it is not easy to realize the RFID technology in business world. The failure to read RFID tags is the most urgent problem that should be solved for RFID application. Specially, in metal and liquid material, recognition rate of RFID tag is lower than others. Though some special tags for metal and liquid have been invented, it has not prevalent in business world on account of high price. In this paper, styrofoam pad is suggested to improve recognition rate of RFID tag for metal pipe which is used in fish cultivating industry. We makes experiment using Taguchi method and analyze the effects on styrofoam thickness, attachment location of tag, and angle of antenna.
Metal nanoparticles have been intensively studied within the past decade. Nano-sized materials have been an important subject in basic and applied sciences. Zinc oxide nanoparticles have received considerable attention due to their unique antibacterial, antifungal, and UV filtering properties, high catalytic and photochemical activity. In this study, microbiological aspects of scale formation in PVC pipelines bacteria and fungi were isolated. In the emerging issue of increased multi-resistant properties in water borne pathogens, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticle are being used increasingly as antimicrobial agents. Thus, the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) and minimum fungal concentration of ZnO nanoparticles towards pathogens microbe were examined in this study. The results obtained suggested that ZnO nanoparticles exhibit a good anti fungal activity than bactericidal effect towards all pathogens tested in in-vitro disc diffusion method (170 ppm, 100 ppm and 30 ppm). ZnO nanoparticles can be a potential antimicrobial agent due to its low cost of production and high effectiveness in antimicrobial properties, which may find wide applications in various industries to address safety issues. Stable ZnO nanoparticles were prepared and their shape and size distribution characterized by Dynamic light scattering (35.7 nm) and transmission electron microscopic TEM study for morphology identification (20 nm), UV-visible spectroscopy (230 nm), X-ray diffraction (FWHM of more intense peak corresponding to 101 planes located at $36.33^{\circ}$ using Scherrer's formula), FT-IR (Amines, Alcohols, Carbonyl and Nitrate ions), Zeta potential (-28.8). The antimicrobial activity of ZnO nanoparticles was investigated against Bacteria and Fungi present in drinking water PVC pipelines biofilm. In these tests, Muller Hinton agar plates were used and ZnO nanoparticles of various concentrations were supplemented in solid medium.
As COVID-19, which occurred at the end of 2019, has become a global pandemic, it has emerged as an unprecedented event that quickly destroys a nation's medical and healthcare system in both developed and developing countries. In the 21st century, most of the civil society that aimed for hyperconnected society is facing a new crisis that has not been experienced so far. Indeed, lack of personal protective equipment, isolation of clustered communities, disruption of medical systems necessary for diagnosis and treatment, and disruption of educational and economic activities due to social isolation are emerging. Since the COVID-19 has occurred, many of the difficulties that have occurred in the past six months indicate the basic infrastructure a society should have particularly in a pandemic. These include personal protective equipment (PPE), decontamination and quarantine tools essential for effective response, rapid and precise large-scale diagnosis, medical devices required for patient care, and identification and fast and wide on-line networks that can be used in social isolation. In this first part, we would like to introduce some representative examples of 1) personal protective equipment, 2) prevention of personal and community health, 3) social response through big data and networks within the framework of appropriate technology.

RFID is Playing a central role in ubiquitous technology according with the advent of the ubiquitous era, and the development of an RFID reader is also emerging as an important technical development field. In this paper, we developed a hardware system which is able to make use of the 13.56MHz RFID infrastructure being used as a transportation card, a credit card, and so on as well as the 125KHz RFID infrastructure being used in security company, and which is applicable to a location identification, an entrance and exit control, and security control over the TCP/IP communication. The existing local RFID methods have some problems which bottlenecks such as administrative problems, technical problems, and so force frequently occur because a casual server is placed and operated in a company. Hence, in this paper we developed an RFID multi reader which is connected to a central administrable server over the TCP/IP in order to solve these problems, and we make it be possible to keep an security control and be easy to install, transfer and administrate RFID infrastructures.
Objectives: To estimate the microbial contaminant load discharged from livestock farms, we randomly selected livestock farmers of cattle, swine, and fowl and collected bacterial strains from domestic animals' feces and compost samples. Recently, as multi-antibiotic-resistant bacteria and super bacteria showing resistance to a variety of antibiotics have been reported one after another, the ecological and health hazard of antibiotic-resistant bacteria is emerging as an important issue. Methods: Monitored indicator microorganism constituents were totak coliform (TC), fecal coliform (FC), and aerobic bacteria. The multi-antibiotic-resistant bacteria were identified from investigated indicator microorganisms by 16S rRNA sequencing. Results: By microbiological analysis, the largest population of aerobic bacteria ($1.5{\times}10^5$ CFU/g) was found in cattle fecal compost, and total coliforms ($1.1{\times}10^7$ CFU/g) and fecal coliforms ($1.0{\times}10^5$ CFU/g) were found primarily in swine fecal compost, while the lowest population was found in fowl fecal compost. Among the 67 strains separated from aerobic bacteria, five strains expressing high antibiotic resistance were selected in each sample. We found the multi-antibiotic resistant strains to be Shigella boydii, Staphylococcus lentus, Acinetobacter sp. and Brevibacterium luteolum. Conclusions: These results suggest that increasing numbers of multi-antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the environment have a close relation to the reckless use of antibiotics with livestock.

Recently, the importance of preventive maintenance has been emerging since failures in a complex system are automatically detected due to the development of artificial intelligence techniques and sensor technology. Therefore, prognostic and health management (PHM) is being actively studied, and prediction of the remaining useful life (RUL) of the system is being one of the most important tasks. A lot of researches has been conducted to predict the RUL. Deep learning models have been developed to improve prediction performance, but studies on identifying the importance of features are not carried out. It is very meaningful to extract and interpret features that affect failures while improving the predictive accuracy of RUL is important. In this paper, a total of six popular deep learning models were employed to predict the RUL, and identified important variables for each model through SHAP (Shapley Additive explanations) that one of the explainable artificial intelligence (XAI). Moreover, the fluctuations and trends of prediction performance according to the number of variables were identified. This paper can suggest the possibility of explainability of various deep learning models, and the application of XAI can be demonstrated. Also, through this proposed method, it is expected that the possibility of utilizing SHAP as a feature selection method.
