In the rapidly changing era of knowledge revolution, user-centered IT services are emerging as a very important component of modern business. However, in order to lead IT services into success, traditional capabilities and competences are not good enough. Development of IT services involve service planners and designers as well as traditional systems developers. This detailed segmentation of job and corresponding competences among involved in IT service development brings in new type of conflicts and contradictions that may require special attention for IT services to be properly development and implemented. This study aims to explore and define competences and roles of newly emerging job groups in IT services: planners, designers, and developers. In order to identify underlying competences of these emergeing groups, two stage interviews were conducted. At the first stage, general competence framework is developed across these groups with different skills for similar competence catogories. Using the categories developed at the first stage, members of each groups were asked to rate and assess the competences of other groups. Comparisons of these reciprocal assessment revealed the conceptual differences and biases across these groups. Detail differences are discussed and implications are discussed.

최근 공개SW를 활용한 IT서비스가 활성화되고 있으며, 대표적인 서비스 유형으로는 소프트웨어 개발, 소프트웨어 유지보수, SI 및 SM, 리포지토리 서비스가 있다. 공개SW의 대표적인 장점 및 기대효과로는 가격 경쟁력 향상과 개발 생산성 향상을 꼽을수 있다. 하지만 IT 서비스 업체에서 공개SW를 활용할 경우 라이센스, 유지보수, 품질 및 호환성 이슈에 대해 정확히 파악하고 사전에 준비해야 한다. LG CNS에서는 최근 해외시장에 공개SW를 적극적으로 활용하여 IT 서비스를 제공한 사례가 있으며, 해당 사례를 분석한 결과 공개SW를 IT 서비스에서 활용할 경우 실제로 소프트웨어 비용 절감을 통한 가격 경쟁력 제고 및 개발생산성 향상의 효과를 확인할 수 있다. 국내 IT서비스 업체가 상대적으로 공개SW에 대한 인식이 잘 형성되어 있는 해외 IT 서비스 시장에서 공개SW에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 주요 이슈에 대해 미리 준비하고 이를 적절히 활용한다면 경쟁력을 확보하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

초고령사회의 진입에 따라 시니어 헬스 케어를 위한 IT 기술과 보건 의료 산업의 융합형 스마트 헬스 케어가 고령화 시대 독거노인 문제의 해결책으로 급부상 중이다. AI를 활용한 비대면 돌봄 서비스의 발전은 일부 국가가 아닌 세계적 경향으로 AI 인공지능 기술을 이용한 노인 돌봄 서비스의 형태는 급격히 변화하고 있다. 국내 역시 초고령화 사회의 진입을 앞두고 있으며 1인 가구가 증가함으로 인해 독거노인 돌봄과 관련하여 노인 복지 인력 부족 문제가 사회 이슈로 대두되고 있다. IT 기술을 이용한 노인 돌봄 서비스는 편리하다는 장점뿐만 아니라 노인 돌봄 노동자의 인력난 등의 장기적인 사회적 문제점을 해소해 줄 비전으로 제시된다. 따라서 고령층을 위한 노인 돌봄 서비스의 사례 연구와 초고령화 시대의 대책으로써 노인 돌봄 서비스의 발전 방향이 제안하고자 한다.

CORBA has been a popular middleware, but recently Web Services has been emerging as a promising web middleware since it uses Internet established standards such as URL, HTTP, XML, and etc. CORBA uses IDL for describing CORBA object interface and Web Services uses WSDL for its description. Thus, in order to port or integrate CORBA objects into Web Services, one needs to understand the relationship between CORBA IDL and WSDL. In this paper, we analyze IDL and WSDL, and compare between two. It turns out that there exists a direct mapping between two, and that understanding operational environments and logic of two technologies is much more important in converting or integrating CORBA objects into Web services successfully.

본 연구는 기존의 정보시스템 연구에서 중요하지만 간과된 주제인 피신뢰자 이슈를 다룬다. 본 연구의 목적은 모바일뱅킹 서비스 환경에서 피신뢰자 유형에 따른 신뢰 유형들과 고객의 정보기술 서비스 채택의도 사이의 관계를 비교 검토하는 것이다. 분석 결과, 고객 자신에 대한 신뢰가 모바일뱅킹 서비스의 고객 채택의도에 있어서 가장 중요한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났으며, 모바일 채널에 대한 신뢰가 그 다음으로 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 그러나 예상과는 달리 모바일뱅킹 서비스 제공업체에 대한 신뢰는 통계적으로 유의하지 않게 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구가 갖는 학문적, 실무적 의의를 논의한다.

In this study, we define Fintech services as review previous literatures and identify the traditional Fintech service market for analysing the economic effects of the Fintech Industry by using the 2014 Input-Output Table. We can identify the current market of Fintech industry which consists of VAN, PG, financial SW, mobile banking and Fintech R&D and we conduct Input-Output analysis by using non-competitive import model. The Input-Output analysis results show that production inducement effect and front/rear chain effect of the Fintech Industry are below average of other industries. This is because the Fintech technology and industry were emerging in Korea at that time (2014), and thus the ripple effects are not significant. Especially, due to the existing white risk financial regulation, new business opportunities have not been open to adapt new ICT-financial technologies. Therefore, when the business ecosystem is build through deregulation and platforms of the financial sector, it is expected that the Fintech Industry will have a high ripple effect. In this study, we identify the current market of Fintech industry from ICT indusries and conduct Input-Output analysis. The economic effects of the Fintech industry are not remarkable, but it is significant to identify the emerging market and present the basic analysis of issued research field.

Background: In 2012, the Alaska Section of Epidemiology investigated personnel potentially exposed to a Brucella suis isolate as it transited through three laboratories. Methods: We summarize the first implementation of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 2013 revised recommendations for monitoring such exposures: (1) risk classification; (2) antimicrobial postexposure prophylaxis; (3) serologic monitoring; and (4) symptom surveillance. Results: Over 30 people were assessed for exposure and subsequently monitored for development of illness. No cases of laboratory-associated brucellosis occurred. Changes were made to gaps in laboratory biosafety practices that had been identified in the investigation. Conclusion: Achieving full compliance for the precise schedule of serologic monitoring was challenging and resource intensive for the laboratory performing testing. More refined exposure assessments could inform decision making for follow-up to maximize likelihood of detecting persons at risk while not overtaxing resources.

Purpose - Usage of E-services is critical for businesses to maximize work efficiency and gain competitive advantage. The aim of the study is to explore how awareness of technology and e-services usage in an emerging economy in Pakistan. The studies aimed to explore as to what extent these factors can potentially motivate transport employees towards e-services; who are generally not aware about technology and hence also not confident in using it also. Research design, data, and methodology - Employees from the three transport subsidiary units from a large private company in Pakistan were sampled for the study. Through using self-administered technique, the questionnaires were distributed during the month of April, 2016 to 189 employees. A total of 150 responses were taken further for analysis where the study found a positive link between awareness of technology and e-services usage. Results - This study found positive relationship between intention to use and e-service usage among the employees of three subsidiary units. The paper has reported 30 percent variance explained by the predicting variables in relation with e-services usage. Conclusions - Employees could be motivated to use e-services and latest technology through enhancing their awareness about their respective importance and viability. Accordingly, organizations can foster employees' intentions to use to enhance e-service usage.

There are two newly emerging research issues in the enterprise information systems literature. One is the scalability issue for rapidly increasing choreographic volumes between interrelated organizations. The other is the business intelligence issue for traceable and monitorable business processes and services interchanging e-Business data and applications across organizations. Based upon these emerging issues, through a functional extension of the ebXML technology we have developed a process-driven e- Business service integration (BSI) system, which is named ‘e-Lollapalooza’. It consists of three major components ? the Choreography Modeler coping with the processdriven collaboration issue, the Runtime & Monitoring Client for coping with the business intelligence issue and the EJB-based BSI Engine coping with the scalability issue. This paper particularly focuses on the e-Lollapalooza’s development aspects for supporting the ebXML-based choreography and orchestration among the engaged organizations in a process-driven multiparty collaboration for e-Logistics and e- Commerce services. Here, it is fully deployed in an EJB-based middleware computing environment for e-Logistics process automation and B2B choreography.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is rapidly emerging as the efficient approach in contemporary complex, heterogeneous computing environments. SOA increases the adaptability by loose coupling and its main feature is that three elements such as service provider, service requester and service registry are connected with each other systematically. To design the service-oriented system efficiently, a metric to measure the coupling between services accurately is needed. In this paper, we propose four coupling metrics for SOA based softwares. First, we suggest a coupling metric for service-oriented systems by modifying an established coupling metric of object-oriented systems. Then we suggest another coupling metric which includes indirect coupling between services. We also suggest two relative coupling metrics to measure coupling between subsystems. We investigate the theoretical soundness of the proposed metrics by the axioms of Briand et al. Finally, we apply the presented metrics to an industrial-scale case study.
