A Study on the Cerber-Type Ransomware Detection Model Using Opcode and API Frequency and Correlation Coefficient (Opcode와 API의 빈도수와 상관계수를 활용한 Cerber형 랜섬웨어 탐지모델에 관한 연구)

  • Since the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, the ransomware fandom has intensified along with the expansion of remote work. Currently, anti-virus vaccine companies are trying to respond to ransomware, but traditional file signature-based static analysis can be neutralized in the face of diversification, obfuscation, variants, or the emergence of new ransomware. Various studies are being conducted for such ransomware detection, and detection studies using signature-based static analysis and behavior-based dynamic analysis can be seen as the main research type at present. In this paper, the frequency of ".text Section" Opcode and the Native API used in practice was extracted, and the association between feature information selected using K-means Clustering algorithm, Cosine Similarity, and Pearson correlation coefficient was analyzed. In addition, Through experiments to classify and detect worms among other malware types and Cerber-type ransomware, it was verified that the selected feature information was specialized in detecting specific ransomware (Cerber). As a result of combining the finally selected feature information through the above verification and applying it to machine learning and performing hyper parameter optimization, the detection rate was up to 93.3%.

Effect of Planting Time on Seed Production of Vegetable Soybean at Different Locations (풋콩 재배지에 따른 파종시기가 종자생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This investigation was conducted to determine the effect of the optimum planting date and place for good seed production on growth variation, grain yields, different of variety, infection of seed by fungi, and seed germination and vigor after room storage. Early maturity Korean soybean variety, Keunolkong, and introduced vegetable soybean variety, Fukura-edamame, were planted at field of YAES. and high cool land of Sajapyong in Milyang(altitude, 850m) on May 15 (early), June 15 (mid.), and July 15 (late) in 1991. The emergence and vegetative period gradually increased in the early planting date. The grain yield, seed weight, pod number, healthy grain yield also increased when Keunolkong was planted on early date. The healthy seed rate, Keunolkong increased in the early planting date, whereas that of Fukura also increased in the late planting date. Infection ratio of grain to phomopsis seed decay (Phomopsis spp. ' Diaporthe phaseolorum) in Fukura steadily increased in the early planting date. Infection ratio of grain to purple seed stain (Cercospora kikuchii) generally increased in the mid and late planting date. The seed germination and seedling vigor after room storage from five to six months gradually increased in the late planting date. And seed germination of Fukura rapidly decreased in the early planting date. Therefore, the optimum planting date for good seed production in early maturity vegetable soybean was June 15 in terms of harvesting time avoid a high temprature and humidity.

Effects of Soil Surface Compaction on Emergence and Growth of Directed Seeded Ginseng in Paddy Field (인삼의 논 재배시 파종 후 진압처리가 출아율과 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to find out the changes in the growth and yield of ginseng and the changes in the soil of direct-seeded ginseng fields after applying different compaction strengths. As a result of surface soil compactions, the topsoil hardness increases as the strength of treatment increases in the first year but topsoil hardness increased only by applying 30 kg weight of compaction in the second year. The germination rate was significantly higher (79.4% and 79.1% at 25 kg and 30 kg, respectively) in 1st year after the application of soil surface compactions. The longest plant was 35.7 cm in 4- years old ginseng in the control and the height was 26.9 cm and 26.5 cm in the soil surface compactions of 25 kg and 30 kg, respectively. In addition, the higher weight of ginseng roots of 31.3 g and 30.3 g were observed after applying 25 kg and 30 kg compaction treatment, and the lowest root weight of 25.6 g was in the control. Therefore, it is shown that after sowing, applying the weight of 25 kg to 30 kg for soil surface compaction is appropriate for better yield in direct seeded cultivation of ginseng at paddy fields.

  • Development of soybean cultivars with great nodulation and high nitrogen fixation activity, derived mostly from mutagenesis, may decrease inputs of chemical fertilizer nitrogen into the soil-plant system. Soybean seeds (cv. Jangyupkong, Hwanggeumkong, and Geomjungkong 1) were treated with three different levels of EMS (ethyl methanesulfonate) concentration(30, 50, and 70mM). Increasing the doses of EMS resulted in decreased field emergence rate of seeds, whereas it did not increase M$_2$ mutation frequencies. This indicated that the most efficient concentration of EMS was 30mM for generating mutants. Extensive mutagenesis of Sinpaldalkong 2 with 30mM EMS was undertaken to isolate soybean mutants with greater nodulation. Approximately 8, 200 M$_2$ families were screened for greater nodulation on 5 mM nitrate after inoculation with Bradyrhizobium japonicum strain YCK213-KFCC-10728. Mutant SS-2 nodulated more than the wild type. Comparison of supernodulation between SS-2 and two nts mutants(nts 1007 and nts 1116) revealed that SS-2 showed the supernodulation character at an earlier growth stage than the two nts mutants. Further studies should be needed to characterize the difference in timing of nodulation between SS-2 and nts mutants.

  • To prepare for the threat of a future epidemic in the post-COVID-19 era, research based on the one-health concept (i.e., the health of humans, animals, and the environment as "one") is essential. Cross-species infections are being identified as a result of the high infection rate and viral load of SARS-CoV-2 in humans. The possibility of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from humans to mink has been determined. In addition, the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from humans to cats through contact has been considered possible. The data so far show that livestock and poultry are less likely to be infected with SARS-CoV-2. However, if infections are established through a new mutation, the resulting diseases are expected to have enormous ripple effects on various fields, such as human food security, the economy, and trade. In addition, there are concerns about the endemic prospect of SARS-CoV-2 and the high accessibility of companion animals. This is because the evolution of the virus likely occurs in animal hosts. Once SARS-CoV-2 is established in other species, they might serve as intermediate hosts for the re-emergence of the virus in the human population. Thus, it is necessary to ensure a rapid response to future outbreaks by accumulating research data on the animal infection of SARS-CoV-2. These data can have implications for the development of animal models for vaccines and therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, in this study, epidemiological reviews were analyzed, and response strategies against SARS-CoV-2 infection in animals were presented using the One-health approach.

China and Central Asia : Soft Balancing Strategy against the U.S. (중국과 중앙아시아 관계 : 미국에 대한 소프트밸런싱 전략을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study on China's emergence and its influence on international society against the U.S. hegemony. Recently, China's influence has proliferated in Central Asia as well as East Asia at a rapid rate. China, through its soft balancing strategy, increased its influence in Central Asia in response to the U.S. power and behavior. This study analyzes the relationship among China and Central Asia with the view of soft balancing theory. In order to determine whether China's strategy on Central Asia is soft balancing, this paper presents three indicators: 1) Second-tier major power is willing to take a strategy that increase diplomatic cost of hegemony or counter the hegemony influence through using regional and global multilateral cooperation. 2) Second-tier major power is willing to not only increase its influence by strengthening regional economic cooperation, but also check the extension of the hegemony economic influence into its boundary. 3) Second-tier major power intends to prevent expanding hegemony military influence into the region through limited military cooperation and increasing military spending, and denying territory. This paper analyze China's multi-polar strategy, economic and energy cooperation with Central Asia countries, and the military and security cooperation with multilateral organizations such as SCO.

Effects of Germination Rate of Grafting-Stock Gourd Seeds as Affected by Durations of Ripening and After-ripening of Fruits (성숙기간과 후숙기간을 달리한 대목용 박(Lagenaria siceraria Standl.) 종자의 발아율)

  • This study was conducted to elucidate the effect of after-ripening of gourd fruits before seed collection. Five varieties of commercial gourd varieties were cultivated and the fruits were picked after 24, 31, 50, and 70 days from pollination. For after-ripening treatments the fruits were placed for five days in a cool, air-circulated place while a number of fruits were placed for longer periods to 85 days including growing period, 24 + 62 days, 31 + 55 days, 50 + 35 days, and 70 + 15 days. The seeds collected from fruits harvested on 24th day were not emerged at all, but the seeds from after-ripening treatment for 62 days showed 78% emergence or higher. The growth of seedlings showed the effects of after-ripening treatment of the fruits before seed collection; the seeds collected after ripening treatment showed better hypocotyl growth and larger embryo size than the non-treated seeds.

DNA Mutation Pattern of gyrA and gyrB Genes according to the SCCmec Subtype of Quinolone-resistant Staphylococcus aureus Isolates from Blood Culture (혈액배양에서 분리된 Fluoroquinolone계 약제 내성 황색포도알균의 SCCmec 아형에 따른 gyrA와 gyrB 유전자에서의 DNA 돌연변이 양상)

  • The emergence and spread of Staphylococcus aureus, which is resistant to quinolone antibacterial agents, has made it difficult to treat infectious diseases. Accordingly, this study examined the molecular epidemiological characteristics of quinolone-resistant S. aureus (QRSA) to obtain helpful data for treatment. Mutations in mecA and SCCmec typing, gyrA, and gyrB genes were investigated for QRSA strains isolated from the blood culture specimens at a general hospital in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The ciprofloxacin-resistant strains in SCCmec typing were II (44 strains, 73%), IVa (five strains, 8%), III, and V (one strain, 2%); the non-typeable strains (11 strains, 18%), and levofloxacin (LVX) and moxifloxacin (MXF) strains were II (44 strains, 73%), IVa (five strains, 8%), III, and V (one strain, 2%); the non-typeable strains were 10 (17%). In both gyrA and gyrB regions, there were 58 mutations, or 96.7%. In LVX, there were 56 mutations or 93.3%, and in MXF, there were 57 mutations or 95%. Twelve mutations, six mutations each in gyrA and gyrB, were identified for the QRSA strain. The resistance rate for the quinolone antibiotics of QRSA studied was approximately 98%, and 12 mutations, six each in gyrA and gyrB, were identified in the QRSA strain. Therefore, the rational use of antibiotics needs to be improved.

Effects of Temperature, Light and Plant Growth Regulators on the Seed Germination of Lavandula angustifolia Mill (잉글리쉬 라벤다의 종자발아(種子發芽)에 대한 온도(溫度), 광(光) 및 생육조절물질(生長調節物質)의 영향(影響))

  • This study was conducted to establish mass propagation system from seeds of Lavandula angustiolia Mill. Only 4% of dry seeds were germinated when they were incubated in $4^{\circ}C$. Germination rate of stratified seeds for 9 weeks was 15% higher in light than darkness. Soaking with 1000mg/l of $GA_3$ was helpful to overcome the effect of darkness. The optimal temperature for germination was $25^{\circ}C$ for the seeds that were treated with$GA_3$, solution. For the improvement of germination rates, pretreatment of $GA_3$ at 500-2000mg/l showed about 75% of germination, and in the combination treatment of $GA_3$, and BA, germination rate increased by about 10% in the treatment of 1000mg/l $GA_3+10mg/l$ BA compared with the 1000mg/l $GA_3$ treatment. Cold stratification treatment was very effective for seed germination, and over 70% of seeds were germinated when they were incubated in $4^{\circ}C$ for 9-12 weeks. In addition, there was synergic effect on the seed germination subject to stratification and 1000mg/l $GA_3$, treatment for 6 months. In the mixture of vermiculite: peatmoss (1 : 1, v/v), emergence rate was 6.7% in control and 65% in 1000mg/l $GA_3$ treatment, respectively.

Reproductive Rate of One-banded Stink Bug, Piezodorus hybneri Linnaeus (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) in Various Rearing Cages (사육용기의 규격에 따른 가로줄노린재의 증식율)

  • The embryonic and postembryonic developments of Pierodorus hybneri Linnaeus were observed in 5 different rearing cages such as A (Cylindrical, 10 cm in diameter, height of 4 cm), B (Cylindrical, 14.5 cm in diameter, height of 2.8 cm), C (Rectangle, 6.5 by 6.5 cm in $length{\times}breadth$, height of 10 cm), D (Cylindrical, 9 cm in bottom diameter, 11.5 cm in upper diameter, height of 10.8 cm) and E (Cylindrical, 15 cm in diameter, height of 7.5 cm) containing soybean and peanut seeds as feeding food, and sponge-water container under laboratory condition of $24^{\circ}C$ and 16L:8D. Egg duration was 6 days regardless of rearing cages. Hatchability ranged from 63 to 80% with the highest in B (14.5 cm in diameter, 2.8 cm in height) rearing cage. Instar duration was longer from 5 days in 1st instar to about 11 days in 5th instar. Nymphal duration showed 35 to 36 days with'3ut significant difference in rearing cages. Percent emergence was in range from 65 to 82% with the highest in B rearing cage. Adult longevity was 35 to 83 days for male, and 32 to 79 days for female, and was the longest in B rearing cage. Total number of eggs laid by female adult was in range from 38 to 86 with significant difference in rearing cages, and was the most in B rearing cage. Accordingly, the reproductive rate of P. hybneri for 1 generation was within 17 to 56 times, and was the highest in B rearing cage. Therefore, it could be concluded that B cage is most suitable for stable rearing of P. hybneri under laboratory condition.
