  • A secure Electronic Payment System (EPS) is essential for the booming online shopping market. A successful EPS supports the transfer of electronic money and sensitive information with security, accuracy, and integrity between the seller and buyer over the Internet. SET, CyberCash, Paypal, and iKP are the most popular Credit Card-Based EPSs (CCBEPSs). Some CCBEPSs only use SSL to provide a secure communication channel. Hence, they only prevent "Man in the Middle" fraud but do not protect the sensitive cardholder information such as the credit card number from being passed onto the merchant, who may be unscrupulous. Other CCBEPSs use complex mechanisms such as cryptography, certificate authorities, etc. to fulfill the security schemes. However, factors such as ease of use for the cardholder and the implementation costs for each party are frequently overlooked. In this paper, we propose a Web service based new payment system, based on ANSI X9.59-2006 with extra features added on top of this standard. X9.59 is an Account Based Digital Signature (ABDS) and consumer-oriented payment system. It utilizes the existing financial network and financial messages to complete the payment process. However, there are a number of limitations in this standard. This research provides a solution to solve the limitations of X9.59 by adding a merchant authentication feature during the payment cycle without any addenda records to be added in the existing financial messages. We have conducted performance testing on the proposed system via a comparison with SET and X9.59 using simulation to analyze their levels of performance and security.

  • WWW has taken root in Internet as a means of future shopping. But paymetn systems using tpdays show us several security vnlnerabilities. The problem that plain shpter's credit card details are transferred in Internet is included.Thnese risks can break out not only an infringement of pribate information but also economic crime. To solve these risks,we introduce the techique which implrment the encrypted WWW communication using PGP.And we propose SCCP which is new electronic payment protocol. As a result of testing with criteria from IBM,we can find that SCCP is safe and secure electronic payment protocol. As a result of testing with criteria from IBM,we can find that SCCP is safe and secure elctronic payment protocol.

  • One of the most popular services among the various application services provided in Internet is electronic commerce. However, it is true that the most of payment systems in existing shopping server are not secure enough even if they provide security services. In this paper, we pointed out some problems in existing shopping server. And, we designed and implemented the secure electronic payment system, SafePay to solve the problems in existing payment system.

  • This paper proposes a new offline electronic payment (e-payment) system that satisfies the major security requirements of e-payment, i.e. anonymity, unlinkability, unforgeability, double spending control, conditional traceability, and fraud prevention. The central idea is the use of Hwang et al.'s RSA-based untraceable blind signature (BS), which disables the link between the e-coin and its owner and ensures the anonymity of both the customer and the merchant. It attaches an expiration, a deposit and the transaction dates to each e-coin in order to manage the database of the bank effectively, to correctly calculate the interest on the e-coin and to aid arbitration if a dishonest customer attempts to double-spend the coin. It also ensures the anonymity of the customer as long as the coin is spent legitimately. Only when a fraudulent e-coin transaction is detected can the bank, with the help of the central authority (a trusted entity), determine the identity of the dishonest customer. The system is referred to as offline since the bank does not need to be concurrently involved in transactions between a customer and a merchant. Finally, analyses of the performance of the prototype and the primary security requirements of the proposed system are also presented.

  • The Web or Mobile channel of previous Web access authentication system for a payment only provides the authentication of remote users, and does not provide the authentication between a user and a bank/financial institution. Therefore, this paper proposes the Transaction Certificate Mode(TCM) for a payment which can preserve the mutual authentication between a user and a bank/financial institution for Web-based payment systems. The proposed system has designed for wireless network instead of Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) designed for wired electronic transaction. In addition, this system with TCM is able to support an account-based transaction for wireless networks instead of a disadvantage of SET such as a card-based transaction for wired networks. Therefore, customers can check their balances without logging on their bank's web site again due to mutual authentication between a customer and his bank/financial institution.

  • Dramatic changes are beginning to occur in payment system according to increase electronic commerce. and so electronic money as a new payment system are increase role in new and innovative systems. There are two type Electronic money as a IC card type and network-type. Advanced card technologies such as IC-card are playing an increasingly important role in new and Innovation system. The merit of IC-card are more capacity, more secure, more reliable, quick and easy to update, secure offline processing, enabling technology etc than magnetic stripe card. And so many countries began using experiment of IC- card and our country began October 13 in Cheju island. Then there are four types using-experiment (K-cash, VISA-cash, A-cash, MONDEX) in Korea. There are some problems such as standards, widely using, high cost, double investment etc. I think that important things in IC-card using is an international- standardizations and issuing corporation.

  • In today's society, the majority of people use smartphones, and mobile ordering and payment systems for their convenience are gaining their attention. The mobile payment market is on the rise, with over 71% of the market that is already formed in China. Many mobile payment markets are growing in Korea, which is a system that is provided only in large franchises. In this paper, we propose a mobile ordering and payment system using short-range wireless communication technology that can be easily used not only in franchises but also in the small businesses, and for the convenience of users in modern society to make a system that enables ordering and payment through mobile to communicate between the devices developed by short range wireless communication technology, smartphone and the main server.

  • The fast changes of global financial environment in recent years increase the risk of trade settlement. This means are required to minimize risk of non payment and to maximize secure payment. Open Account trade accounts for 90% of global trade flows. The O/A system means that the goods, along with all the necessary documents, are shipped and delivered before payment is due, usually within a time frame from 30 to 90 days. Meanwhile, Korean small and medium-sized export enterprises are compelled to globalize their activities owing to limitation and competitiveness of domestic marketplace. To keep face with the global trade settlement system and to support globalization of small and medium-sized export firms, the BPO together with Supply Chain Finance will be solutions. The introduction of the BPO system will allow banks to broaden O/A offerings to their client base and due to secure safety, sellers could ship the goods without delay according to orders and buyers could settle promptly by payment undertaking of correspondent banks. Therefore, it is more effective for companies which have sustainable customers and stable transaction. This study take a look at the trend of the global payment systems and suggested limitation of existed payment in order to derive improvement measures of electronic payment for small and medium-sized export enterprises.

  • Smart card is a useful tool used in electronic payment systems and it is very important to test whether a smart card operates correctly. In this paper, we analyze previous researches on testing smart cards, such as ISO/IEC and KS standard documents, and Guideline of Card Quality Test. We also propose the functional test results done on the Highpassplus card of Korea Highway Corporation. By testing the Hipgpassplus card we can get card systems with reliable functionality and security. Furthermore, this can help developing more reliable security systems. The test results of the Highpassplus card proposed in this paper are the first research on testing smart cards in services in Korea and we expect that the test methods of smart card will be advanced based on our results.
