기준신호 보상회로를 이용한 더블 샘플링 방식의 비냉각형 볼로미터 검출회로 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Double Sampling Design of CMOS ROIC for Uncooled Bolometer Infrared Sensor using Reference Signal Compensation Circuit)

  • A bolometer sensor used in an infrared thermal imaging system has many advantages on the process because it does not need a separate cooling system and its manufacturing is easy. However the sensitivity of the bolometer is low and the fixed pattern noise(FPN) is large, because the bolometer sensor is made by micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS). These problems can be fixed-by using the high performance readout integrated circuit(ROIC) with noise reduction techniques. In this paper, we propose differential delta sampling circuit to remove the mismatch noise of ROIC itself, the FPN of the bolometer. And for reduction of FPN noise, the reference signal compensation circuit which compensate the reference signal by using on-resistance of MOS transistor was proposed.

  • To be satisfied with complex load condition of electric vehicle, fuzzy logic control (FLC) is applied to improve speed response and system robust performance of induction traction machine based on indirect rotor field orientation control. The proposed propulsion system consists of two induction motors (IM) that ensure the drive of the two back driving wheels of lightweight electric vehicle by means the vehicle used for passenger transportation. The electronic differential system ensures the robust control of the vehicle behavior on the road. It also allows controlling, independently, every driving wheel to turn at different speeds in any curve. Our electric vehicle fuzzy inference system control's simulated in Matlab SIMULINK environment, the results obtained present the efficiency and the robustness of the proposed control with good performances compared with the traditional PI speed control, the FLC induction traction machine presents not only good steady characteristic, but with no overshoot too.

  • 비냉각형 적외선 검출 회로 설계 시 공정상 변화에 의해 발생하는 센서의 저항값 변동이 크다. 본 논문에서는 이것을 해결하기 위해 차동적 입력 수신 구조를 이용한 방법을 제시하였다. 볼로미터 타입 비냉각형 적외선 영상 센서 회로는 입사된 적외선 에너지 양에 따라 센서의 저항값이 변하는 특성을 이용하며 그에 따른 전압 또는 전류의 변화를 측정하여 적외선의 파장을 알아내는 방식으로 검출회로 설계 시 가장 큰 문제점인 공정상의 변화 등으로 인한 신호검출 회로의 오동작을 개선하기 위하여 검출회로의 입력단을 차동적으로 받아들이도록 설계하였다.

  • In this study, eddy current signals from various anomalous defects in the heat exchanger tube are predicted af their signal slope characteristics no analyzed. The signal changes due to frequency increase are also observed. Based in the accumulated knowledge, the analysis of superimposed signal is attempted which includes the effects of support plate. Both differential and absolute bobbin probe signals are analyzed. For the prediction of signals, axisymmetric finite element modeling is used and this leads us to the utilization of slope angle analysis of the signal. Results show that differential signals are useful to locate the position of defect under the support plate and absolute signals no easy to predict and analyze even though they no superimposed signals. Combined use of these two types of signals will accomplish a reliable inspection.

  • Heart sound contains rich information regarding the dynamics of the heart and the auscultation has been a first choice of routine procedures for diagnosis of the heart. However, heart sounds captured using a conventional stethoscope are not often loud or clear enough for doctors to precisely classify their characteristics, especially, under the noisy environments of the hospital. A simple auscultation device that removed shortcomings of the conventional stethoscope was constructed in the study. The device employed a polymer based adherent differential output sensor which was on contact with skin through a coupling medium and appropriated electronic circuits for signal amplification and conditioning. An ordinary headphone is taken to hear the captured heart sounds and the volume can be adjusted to hear well. It is also possible that the device sends the captured heart sound signals to a PC where the signals are further processed and viualized.

계통 연계를 위한 병렬 LCL 여파기용 Interleaved PWM 인버터 (Interleaved PWM Inverter with Paralleled LCL Filter for Grid Connection)

  • In this study, an inverter system connected to a grid through a paralleled LCL filter is proposed. The system consists of two inverters paralleled and operated with interleaved PWM for powering up and performance improvement. Two LCL filters have two separate filter inductors and one set of filter capacitor and grid inductor in common. The differential mode current circulates through two inverters and two filter inductors. The differential mode current is removed from the filter capacitor and the power grid. Accordingly, performance improvement can be achieved due to the reduced currents in the filter capacitor and the reduced harmonics into a grid. A single-phase prototype has been made and tested, and the proposal has been verified.

  • This paper presents a study on nonlinear time varying systems based on differential geometry. A brief introduction about controllability and involutivity will be presented. As an example, the exact feedback linearization and the approximate feedback linearization are used in order to show some application examples.

u-헬스 센서 네트워크 시스템의 생체신호 압축 처리 (Application of Biosignal Data Compression for u-Health Sensor Network System)

  • A sensor network system can be an efficient tool for healthcare telemetry for multiple users due to its power efficiency. One drawback is its limited data size. This paper proposed a real-time application of data compression/decompression method in u-Health monitoring system in order to improve the network efficiency. Our high priority was given to maintain a high quality of signal reconstruction since it is important to receive undistorted waveform. Our method consisted of down sampling coding and differential Huffman coding. Down sampling was applied based on the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem and signal amplitude was taken into account to increase compression rate in the differential Huffman coding. Our method was successfully tested in a ZigBee and WLAN dual network. Electrocardiogram (ECG) had an average compression ratio of 3.99 : 1 with 0.24% percentage root mean square difference (PRD). Photoplethysmogram (PPG) showed an average CR of 37.99 : 1 with 0.16% PRD. Our method produced an outstanding PRD compared to other previous reports.

  • When any faults occurred in electrical railway system, operators need to analysis it quickly and accurately. Existing COMTRADE based analysis tools are not enough to analysis faults occurred in electrical railway system. In this paper, it presents some functions to fault analysis for electrical railway system based on fault data formatted COMTRADE. These functions are implemented in PSCAD/EMTDC and it can be shown that analyzed results against actual electrical fault cases which were occurred in the electrical railway power system.

  • The phase transition between amorphous and crystalline states in chalcogenide semiconductor films can controlled by electric pulses or pulsed laser beam; hence some chalcogenide semiconductor films can be applied to electrically write/erase nonvolatile memory devices, where the low conductive amorphous state and the high conductive crystalline state are assigned to binary states. GeSbTe(GST), AsSbTe(AST), SeSbTe(SST) used to phase change materials by appling electrical pulses. Thickness of ternary chalcogenide thin films have about 100nm. Upper and lower electrode were made of Al. It is compared with I-V characteristics after impress the variable pulses.
