Synthesis and Optical Chracterization of 1,1-Difunctioanl-2,3,4,5-Tetraphenylsilole (1,1-Difunctional-2,3,4,5-Tetraphenylsilole의 합성과 광학적 특성)

  • Siloles of considerable current interest, both because of their unusual electronic properties and because of their possible application as electron-transporting materials in devices such as light-emitting diodes (LED's) and chemical sensor. Siloles have been characterized by NMR, FT-IR, and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. Their optical characteristics have been also investigated using photoluminescence spectroscopy. Thus siloles exhibit a low reduction potential and a low-lying LUMO energy level, attributed to ${\sigma}^*-{\pi}^*$ conjugation arising from the interaction between the ${\sigma}^*$ orbital of the sigma-bonded silicon atom and the $\pi^*$ orbital of the butadiene moiety of the ring.

  • Recently, MPEG has opened activity to standardize scene representation for lightweight applications such as in mobile phones. The standard is named lightweight applications scene representation (LASeR) and can be applied to improve and make efficient rich media applications and services on mobile devices. In this standard, we proposed an efficient type codec for point data to maximize the bit efficiency of LASeR. In this paper, we describe the new method and the test results of the proposed scheme.

Design of Gate-Ground-NMOS-Based ESD Protection Circuits with Low Trigger Voltage, Low Leakage Current, and Fast Turn-On

  • In this paper, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuits with an advanced substrate-triggered NMOS and a gate-substrate-triggered NMOS are proposed to provide low trigger voltage, low leakage current, and fast turn-on speed. The proposed ESD protection devices are designed using 0.13 ${\mu}m$ CMOS technology. The experimental results show that the proposed substrate-triggered NMOS using a bipolar transistor has a low trigger voltage of 5.98 V and a fast turn-on time of 37 ns. The proposed gate-substrate-triggered NMOS has a lower trigger voltage of 5.35 V and low leakage current of 80 pA.

  • Computing today is becoming ubiquitous. In such ubiquitous computing environments, entities expect to access resources and services at any time from anywhere. Therefore, the question rises of how to establish trust relationship in previously unknown devices or resources with such environment. After reviewing a model to delegate trust to communicating entities in ubiquitous environment and its security problems, we present a new model for secure delegation over communication entities. We adopt two-party signature scheme as cryptographic primitives. Additionally, we apply threshold cryptosystems to our model for more secure enhancement.

  • In this paper, we designed the bay control unit that is based on the microprocessors and integrates with the new technology of electrical, electronic, and mechanical fields. Nowadays the customers have required much more integrated multi-protection relay, monitoring, control devices and power management for better and easier maintenance, performance, electrical system analysis and communication according to new trend of switchboard This bay controller supplies those requirements of customers with easy handling and operation. This bay controller provides a graphic display with rear-lit liquid crystal LCD and push buttons as kinds of HMI(Human Machine Interface). This bay controller provides the parameter setting program, control setting program, various editors and fault recording and analysis program on Windows/95/98/NT/2000/XP for HMI. In addition, this bay controller can be set manually and this manual setting function helps user to interface easily.

  • The recent growth in the use of impactive and nonlinear loads, electronic devices sensitive to power quality has caused many power quality problems. Dynamic voltage restorers(DVR) are known as the best effective and economic means to compensate for power quality problems(especially, voltage sag and swell). In this paper, we addresses the detecting algorithms of an voltage sag and phase for operating DVR. Experimental results are included to illustrate the efficacy of the proposed algorithm.

Non-isolated Boost Charger for the Li-Ion Batteries Suitable for Fuel Cell Powered Laptop Computers

  • The conventional non-isolated boost converter has some drawbacks such as poor dynamic performance and a discontinuous output current, which make it unsuitable for battery charging applications. In spite of its compactness and lightness, it is not preferred as a charger of portable electronic devices. In this paper, a non-isolated boost converter topology for Li-ion batteries suitable for fuel cell powered laptop computers is proposed and analyzed. The proposed converter has an additional inductor at the output to make a continuous output current. This feature makes it suitable for charger applications by eliminating the disadvantages of the conventional non-isolated boost converter mentioned above. A prototype of the proposed converter is built for the Li-ion battery charger of a laptop computer to prove the validity and advantages of the proposed topology.

  • We developed a novel patterning method of organic light emitting materials using a laser-inscribed sacrificial layer for fabricating high-resolution pixels in organic light emitting displays (OLEDs). Our patterning process is capable of achieving high spatial resolution of about 10 ${\mu}m$. Moreover, it has no detrimental effect on the electrical properties of organic materials. This patterning approach is expected to be applicable for patterning and integrating a wide range of organic materials for organic electronic and optoelectronic devices.

  • Due to the shrinking of the chip size and increasing of the complexity in the modern electronic devices. the defect of wafer are so important to decide the yield in the device process. The engineers has studied the wafer defects and the characteristics. They published lots of the experimental methods. I did an experiment the gettering effect of the defects due to the high temperature and the long time diffusion. Actually, As the thickness of the wafer backside polysilicon is thicker and the diffusion time is faster. the defects on the wafer are decreased. The polysilicon gram boundaries of the wafer backside played an important part as the defect gettering site.

Robust Audio Fingerprinting Method Using Prominent Peak Pair Based on Modulated Complex Lapped Transform

  • The robustness of an audio fingerprinting system in an actual noisy environment is a major challenge for audio-based content identification. This paper proposes a high-performance audio fingerprint extraction method for use in portable consumer devices. In the proposed method, a salient audio peak-pair fingerprint, based on a modulated complex lapped transform, improves the accuracy of the audio fingerprinting system in actual noisy environments with low computational complexity. Experimental results confirm that the proposed method is quite robust in different noise conditions and achieves promising preliminary accuracy results.
