An in-situ four-electrode contact resistivity probe system was designed, and field-tested in submarine sediments. Seismic survey was also performed to support and compare the results of electric survey. The probe was designed to be driven to selected depths below the seafloor using a Vibracore system. The four insulated electrodes were, spaced equidistant across the wedge, were extended beyond the probe tip to minimize effects of sediment disturbance by the wedge insertion. In-situ measurements of resistivity were recorded on board by precision electronic equipment consisting of signal generators and processors, and by temperature-monitoring systems. Overall limits of Uncertainty at respective depths below the seafloor are up to ${\pm}$10 of the measured values. Best estimates of conductivity are considered to be ${\pm}$3 percent of the reported values. Resistivity measurements were made at six sites in carbonate sediments to a maximum depth of penetration of about 5 m. Average values of conductivity range between 0.88 and 1.21 mho/m. The results show the seabed is composed of alternating layers of relatively high-conductivity material (0.8 to 1.4 mho/m) in thicknesses of more or less one meter and layers about 30 cm thick having relatively low conductivities (0.4 to 0.8 mho/m).
Purpose: This study is an integrative review to analyze articles about sex education for school age children in Korean journals. This study explored the year, methods, major variables and key findings of previous studies. Methods: Five electronic databases and eleven journals of nursing in Korean language were searched to find studies done until 2017. 75 papers published from 1995 to 2017 were selected (43 were survey studies and 32 were intervention studies). Results: Among the intervention studies, there was no Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) study. Most intervention studies were conducted to change sexual knowledge and sexual attitudes. Among the survey studies, Q methodology and content analysis were used. The subjects' sexual knowledge and sexual consciousness were measured low in some studies. The sex education for school age children was composed of elementary school students' perception, understanding and needs related to sex. In addition, sex education was carried out to improve students' informational aspects such as sexual knowledge, prevention of sexual violence and secondary sexual character as well as emotional aspects such as sexual attitude. However, research on sexual consciousness, sexual values and sexual identity was insufficient. Conclusion: In order to develop an effective sex education program for school age children, it is necessary to consider the degree of their perception, understanding and needs and reflect both the social and cultural aspects as well as the informational and emotional aspects.

The study was a descriptive cross-sectional survey which investigated the reading preferences of secondary school students in Nigeria during the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic. A hundred secondary school students in Ile- Ife and Ilesa in Osun State, Nigeria were the study respondents. Close ended self-administered questionnaire was used to obtain data. Of the one hundred questionnaire which were applied to the study respondents, ninety-three were retrieved. Data obtained were analyzed using simple frequencies and percentages. The study established that majority of respondents were not pressured to read but read for pleasure. Preference for a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books which was read for purposes ranging from academic, social, relaxation and information was indicated by respondents. Availability of reading materials determined reading preference of majority of respondents as many could not afford to access electronic books whether free or not. The researchers recommended that different types of reading materials that suit the reading preferences and meet the diverse purpose of reading should be provided for the secondary school students during lockdown to improve their reading habits. Public libraries should function during this lock down period within the guidelines of the appropriate health authorities, while school libraries should be equipped to offer virtual services during the lockdown and the students should be exposed to e-books for their reading pleasure.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the educational landscape for students across the globe, leading to a shift towards long-term online learning. This study aims to examine the changes in the health status of college and university students before and after the transition to online classes. We conducted a survey questionnaire among 200 students enrolled at K University in Gangwon-do, including participants from both the Department of Visual Optics and the Department of Physical Therapy. The survey employed a 5-point Likert scale to evaluate a range of health-related factors, including physical and mental well-being, alterations in lifestyle, and academic performance. Both male and female students experienced a decline in physical strength and exercise during the online class period, while mental health and overall happiness showed improvement, particularly among female students. Notable shifts in lifestyle emerged, including an increased usage of electronic devices and enhanced familial connections. The study also shed light on intriguing trends related to academic accomplishments and adherence to official quarantine guidelines. In sum, the findings of this study offer valuable foundational information for the maintenance of students' well-being during online learning, as well as the development of effective strategies for online education in future academic settings.

The purpose of this study is to develop a new curriculum for the department of library and information science of junior college. For this purpose, First, a literature study was done along with interviews with assistant librarians, second, a questionnaries survey was conducted among professors, library administrators and assistant librarians, and the survey data were analyzed by SAS packages. Results obtained by this study are as follows; 1) Work scope of assistant librarians will be consisted of conventional library works and automated library works. And it is anticipated that the library will be transformed into an electronic library in the futrue. 2) Curriculum of department library and information science of junior college is gradually changing focused on conventional subjects toward automation and computer oriented subjects. 3) Curriculum of department of library and information science of junior college should be focused on the workshop oriented education and electronic library related subjects such as electronic library workshop, information system, data fare theory information system information network workshop.
This study is focused that the electronic commerce(EC) on the purchasing section may improve the efficiency and transparency of the hospitals management. After reviewing the purchasing activity of hospitals, I study the introduction, expected effects, and problems of EC. So, I am going to provide basic information for activating EC. The samples are managers of 170 hospitals, which are located on Seoul. As a result of collection this survey, I analyze 79 hospitals. For data analysis, I use $X^2$-test and ANOVA for purchasing management and the relevance of EC according to the level of care. The results of this study are 1. The problems on the management of purchasing section are: firstly, they don't have sufficient time to study market. Secondly, it is difficult to find competitive suppliers. And, lastly, they cannot gather a lot of information about the price of products. 2. There are many answers of the needs on the introduction of B2B. However, some hospitals think they don't need it. But, the most answers are that the EC will be settled within 4 years. So, we can realize that these hospitals are getting interested on the EC. On the other hand, I find that they prefer outside EC companies for the introduction of EC. 3. On the expected effects on EC, first is the effectiveness of the market survey. The next is to collect information of adequate price of products owing to clear transaction, find easier new suppliers and gather useful data. 4. On the external problems of the introduction of EC, there is low credibility related to the security and the weakness of suppliers' information system. Especially, on the Real Transaction Price Payment system, the bigger bed size, the higher understanding on these problems. On the internal problems of the introduction of EC, first is the burden of the introduction of EC and operating cost. Especially, on the burden of the disclosure of revenue source, the smaller bed size, the higher understanding on this problem So, this is a point which deserves my attention statistically. However, this shows relatively little understanding about incomplete the standard of product category and the weak information system of hospital. Through this study, I am going to suggest 3 points for the activation of the introduction of EC on hospitals. 1. The reform of the Real Transaction Price Payment System on medical supplies and materials for medical treatment 2. The establishment of the standard of product category 3. The promotion of information system based on network.
The recent emergence of electronic commerce could provide different opportunities to small firms in overcoming part of their technological, environmental, organizational, and managerial inadequacies. However, recent research provided a gloomy picture about electronic commerce uptake and use in small firms. Until now few small flrms adopted electronic commerce. This phenomenon gives us several implications. One of the implications is a need to generate more research to small firms' uptake and use of electronic commerce. So, this research aims at what is determinants in small firms' adoption of electronic commerce, especially business - to - business(B2B). Several previous studies were identified various influential variables in adoption of small firms' electronic commerce. To some extent, by industries these variables may be different in influencing B2B adoption of small firms. This study selected fishery industry's wholesale firms as survey domain. Then, It selected some variables from previous studios and group them in several factors for consistently comparing variable's influential power. Through hierarchical influencing model of B2B adoption, managers who worked for fishery wholesale firms were surveyed. Among the first level's factors of the model, business factor was identified as the statistically most influential factor in B2B adoption. Technological factor and environmental factor at the frist level were identified as relatively less influential factors. Among the second level's factors of the model, it was statistically significant only that technological usefulness factor was more influential than technological burden factor in B2B adoption. And among the third level's factors of the model, it was identified that formal plan and task team for B2B, top management support, and mutual beliefs of inter - firms were statistically more influential than related variables in B2B adoption. These results give us some implications. First, fishery wholesale firms recognized B2B as a new business paradigm, and technological problems as not obstacles in adopting B2B. Thus it would be possible to activate the fishery B2B if they were guided to getting B2B benefits and B2B's relative advantages. Second, they considered the power of influential factors might be different by B2B stages. That is, top management support was more important in the B2B introduction stage, and formal plan and task team for B2B and mutual beliefs of inter - firms were more important in the B2B operation stage.
In terms of resources recycling and resolving waste disposal problems, it is very important to recover precious metals like Au, Ag and Pd and valuable metals like Cu, Sn and Ni from the scraps of waste electrical and electronic equipment(WEEE) that consists of detective electrical and electronic parts discarded during manufacturing electrical and electronic equipments and waste electrical and electronic parts generated during disassembling them. In general, the scraps of WEEE are composed of various metals and alloys as well as refractory oxides and plastic components. Precious and valuable metals from the scraps of WEEE can be recovered by gas-phase-volatilization, hydrometallurgical, or pyrometallurgical processes. However, the gas-phase-volatilization and hydrometallurgical processes have been suggested but not yet commercialized. At the present time, most of the commercial plants for recovering precious and valuable metals from the scraps of WEEE adopt pyrometallurgical processes. Therefore, in this paper, the technical and environmental aspects on the important pyrometallurgical processes through literature survey are reviewed, and the scale-up result of a new pyrometallurgical process for recovering the precious and valuable metals contained in the scraps of WEEE using waste copper slag is presented.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between electronic cigarette use and mental health factors such as stress, suicidal thinking, and generalized anxiety disorder among Korean adolescents. Methods: Based on the 19th (2023) Youth Health Behavior Survey, cross-analysis(Rao-Scott χ2 test) and complex design logistic regression analysis were conducted to identify e-cigarette use and mental health factors. Results: Lifetime use experience with electronic cigarettes (OR:1.218) and current use of electronic cigarettes (OR:1.266) for male adolescents and lifetime use experience of electronic cigarettes(OR:1.587 ) for female adolescents were influential factors on stress. Lifetime experience with e-cigarettes (OR:1.866) and current use of e-cigarettes (OR:1.651) for male adolescents and lifetime experience with e-cigarettes (OR:2.375) and current use of e-cigarettes (OR:1.841) for female adolescents were influential factors on suicidal thinking. Lifetime experience with e-cigarettes (OR:1.307) among male adolescents and lifetime experience with e-cigarettes (OR:1.616) among female adolescents were influencing factors for generalized anxiety disorder. Conclusion: Because there is a significant relationship between adolescent e-cigarette use and mental health, e-cigarette prevention education is needed early in adolescence.
Rapid development of information technology has generated a new industry and market. In particular, network technology such as the Internet and other computer networks made transaction activities switched from traditional offline commerce to e-commerce. Among them, digital content is bit-based object which is created and distributed through electronic environment. In particular, many entertainment contents such as the music, the movies, and the computer game softwares are main products. Although digital content commerce has high potential demand, it lacks the consideration about the factor related to maintaining existing customer such as customer loyalty and switching costs. There has been a number of research on customer loyalty and other factors affecting it in the traditional electronic commerce environment, but there is a lack of research which examines the characteristics of digital content. The study about the effect of switching costs on customer loyalty in digital content commerce is necessary because the customers of digital content commerce market are from those of other e-commerce market or traditional offline commerce market. In addition, customer loyalty and switching costs are important factors because they may build up greater customer retention. For that reason, this study focused on examining the relationships among switching costs, antecedents for switching costs, and customer loyalty in online digital music service industry. The study has three major purposes: (1) to find antecedents of switching costs on digital content commerce and examine effect of antecedents for switching costs; (2) to identify effect of switching costs on customer loyalty in digital content commerce and examine moderating effects of alternative attractiveness; (3) to identify the differences of antecedents for switching costs by contents transmission type(streaming service and downloading service). And, the online digital music service industry is selected in this study since there are many users and transactions incurring. To accomplish these purposes, a survey questionnaire was developed and distributed to 256 informants. Survey instrument was developed based on previous research and pre-established survey items. Total of 206 surveys are collected and used in the data analysis. Among the respondents, 56.8% is male and 43.2% is female. Also, 86 responses were streaming service user group and 120 responses were download service user group. These data was analyzed using regression analysis. Major findings of empirical analysis can be summarized as follows. First, switching costs have positive effect on customer loyalty in digital content commerce environment. Second, the influence of switching costs on customer loyalty increases under conditions of high alternative attractiveness. Third, DRM convenience and breadth of use have positive effect on switching costs. The findings imply that the digital content provider should pay more attention to switching costs in addition to customer satisfaction in order to attract customers. Also, increasing the convenience of DRM use by securing the convenience of user interface and expanding the support device and increasing the service use scope by providing diverse value-added service helps to create a switching barrier. The result of the study can become a practical use in marketing strategy for maintaining existing customer. In particular, switching barrier is very important under conditions of high competition in the online music service market. This study can be used as a basis for further studies about customer retention in digital content commerce.
