Dielectric and Piezoelectric Properties in PSN-PNN-PZT Ceramics (PSN-PNN-PZT 세라믹스의 유전 및 압전 특성)

  • In this study, the structural, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb[(Sb$\sub$1/2/Nb$\sub$1/2/)$\sub$x/- (Ni$\sub$1/3/Nb$\sub$2/3/)$\sub$0.15-x/- (Zr,Ti)$\sub$0.85/]O$_3$(x = 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05) ceramics is investigated as a function of Pb(Sb$\sub$1/2/Nb$\sub$1/2/)O$_3$ (abbreviated PSN) substitution. With the increase of PSN substitution, the crystal structure is transO$_3$formed from the tetragonal phase to the rhombohedral phase and the grain size is decreased abruptly. The curie temperature is decreased with the PSN substitution. The dielectric constant is increased with the PSN substitution and maximum value of 2290 is obtained at 4mol% PSN. With the PSN substitution, the coercive field is increased and the remnant polarization is decreased. The Electromechanical coupling factor(k$\sub$p/) Is showed the highest value of 0.622 at lmol% PSN and the mechanical quality factor(Q$\sub$m/) is decreased abruptly with the PSN substitution.

  • In this study, the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(TC $F_{r}$), dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb[(S $b_{1}$2/N $b_{1}$2/)$_{0.0035}$-(M $n_{1}$3/N $b_{2}$3/)$_{0.0065}$-(Z $r_{x}$ $Ti_{1-x}$ )$_{0.90}$] $O_3$ceramics is investigated with Zr/Ti ratio. The dielectric constant and electromechanical coupling factor( $k_{p}$) showed the highest values of 1257, 0.562 respectively when the Zr/Ti ratio is 49.5/50.5. The mechanical quality factor( $Q_{m}$) is the lowest value of 713 when the Zr/Ti ratio is 49.5/50.5, and increased with the decrease of the Zr/Ti ratio. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(TC $F_{r}$) change abruptly at the morphotropic phase boundary(MPB), which is between the rhombohedral phase with highly negative TC $F_{r}$ of -106ppm/$^{\circ}C$ and the tetragonal phase with highly positive TC $F_{r}$ of +64pp $m^{\circ}C$ as Zr/Ti ratio changes from 50/50 to 49.5/50.5.50.5..5.50.5.5.

Piezoelectric and dielectric properties of PMN-PZN ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer with PZN substitution (PZN 치환에 따른 적층 압전변압기용 PMN-PZT 세라믹의 압전 및 유전 특성)

  • In this paper, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, $Pb[(Mn_{1/3},Nb_{2/3})_{0.07}(Zn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_a(Zr_{0.48}Ti_{0.52})_{1-0.07-a}O_3]$ ceramics were manufactured with the variations of PZN from 2 to 14mol% and their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. Sintering temperature was varied from 910 to $1000^{\circ}C$. At 8mol% PZN substituted specimen sintered at $970^{\circ}C$, electromechanical coupling factor(kp), mechanical quality factor(Qm), dielectric constant and peizoelectric constant($d_{33}$) showed the optimal values of 0.536, 1803, 1551 and 328[pC/N), respectively, for multilayer piezoelectric transformer application.

  • In this paper, we investigated the electrical and piezoelectric characteristics of $Pb(Sb,Nb)O_3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ for piezoelectric transformer and actuator etc. Effect of $WO_3$ addition($0\;wt%{\sim}0.6\;wt%$) on the PSN-PZT ceramic was investigated. Anisotropic properties of electromechanical coupling factor and piezoelectric properties were proved to be varied with amount of $WO_3$ impurity and sintering temperature($1100{\sim}1300^{\circ}C$). The electromechanical coupling factor $k_p$ of 0.41 and the mechanical quality factor am of 1243 were obtained from the specimen with 0.6 wt% $WO_3$ addition sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ Experimental results indicated that the PZT-PSN ceramics with $WO_3$ impurity can be effectively used for piezoelectric transformer and actuator. etc.

  • The piezoelectric properties of 0.05pb(A $l_{0.5}$N $b_{0.5}$) $O_3$-0.95Pb(Z $r_{0.52}$ $Ti_{0.48}$) $O_3$+0.7wt%N $b_2$ $O_{5}$ +0.5wt%Mn $O_2$ceramics with the additives of BaC $O_3$were investigated. For the additions of BaC $O_3$, the dielectric constant ($\varepsilon$$^{T}$ $_{33}$ ), the piezoelectric constant ( $d_{33}$ ), the electromechanical coupling factor ( $k_{p}$ ), and . the mechanical quality factor ( $Q_{m}$ ) were increased, but dielectric loss (tan$\delta$) was decreased. The highest piezoelectric properties and dielectric properties were observed at the sintered temperature of 120$0^{\circ}C$ and 0.4 wt% of BaC $O_3$, and the properties of $d_{33}$ , $k_{p}$ , and $Q_{m}$ were 339(x10$^{-12}$ C/N), 59% and 1754, respectively.vely.y.y.

  • In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering ceramics for ultrasonic vibrator application, PNW-PMN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured according to the amount of CaCO$_3$ addition, and their piezoelectric, dielectric and microstructural characteristics were investigated. The ceramic specimens could be sintered at sintering temperature below 1000 $^{\circ}C$ due to the effect of Li$_2$CO$_3$-CaCO$_3$ liquid phase produced by the reaction of Li$_2$CO$_3$ and CaCO$_3$. At 0.2 wt% Li$_2$CO$_3$ and 0.25 wt% CaCO$_3$ added specimen sintered at 920 $^{\circ}C$, the density, electromechanical coupling factor(k$_{p}$), mechanical quality factor(Q$_{m}$) and dielectric constant showed the optimal value of 7.78 g/㎤, 0.49, 1396, and 1300, respectively, for ultrasonic vibrator application.ion.

  • In this study, lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were investigated for pressure sensor applications as a function of the amount of $CeO_2$ addition at Bi(Na,K)$TiO_3-SrTiO_3$ system. With increasing the amount of $CeO_2$ addition, the density and dielectric constant increased. Electromechanical coupling factor($k_p$) showed the maximum value(kp, 0.39) at 0.1wt% $CeO_2$ addition and decreased above 0.1wt% $CeO_2$ addition., Density, dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}_r$) increased but mechanical quality factor(Qm), piezoelectric constant(d33) decreased in $CeO_2$ addition, respectively.

  • In this study, to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, $0.02Pb(Sb_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_{3}-0.13Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}O_3-0.85Pb(Zr,Ti)O_{3}$ system ceramics were manufactured with the variations of sintering temperature between 1,090 and $1240^{\circ}C$ and its dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With increasing the sintering temperature, electromechanical coupling factor (kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) were decreased. At $1,180^{\circ}C$ sintered specimen showed maximum value of 0.535 electromechanical coupling factor (kp). On the other hand,. The specimen sintered at $1,180^{\circ}C$ showed the maximum value of ${\varepsilon}r$=1,571, Qm=1,181 respectively.

  • In this paper, the piezoelectric and dielectric properties as a function of x and a in $aPbZr_xTi_{1-x}O_3-(1-a)Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ + ywt%MgO is investigated. As a results, when a is 0.95 and x is 0.505, electromechanical coupling factor$(k_p)$, permittivity${\varepsilon}_33^T/{\varepsilon}_0$, piezoelectric strain constant$(d_{33})$ and mechanical quality factor$(Q_m)$ are 58 %, 1520, 272 pC/N and 1550, respectively. From XRD analysis, when x is 0.505, it is MPB which present rhombohedral and tetragonal phase in same quantity. Also, From SEM observation, when sintering temperature is $1150^{\circ}C$, grain size is about $2\;{\mu}m$. As a results added MgO dopant in the ternary piezoelectric ceramic, when MgO content is 0.1 wt%, $k_p$ increases to 63[%].

  • In this study, in order to develop the composition ceramics for low loss multilayer piezoelectric actuator application, $Pb(Zn_{1/2}W_{1/2})O_3-Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ (abbreviated as PZW-PMN-PZT)ceramics according to the amount of $MnO_2$ addition were fabricated using two-stage calcinations method. And also, their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. At the 0.2 wt% $MnO_2$ added PZW-PMN-PZT ceramics sintered at $930^{\circ}C$, density, electromechanical coupling factor $k_p$, dielectric constant ${\varepsilon}_r$, piezoelectric $d_{33}$ constant and mechanical quality factor $Q_m$ showed the optimum value of $7.84g/cm^3$, 0.543, 1,392, 318.7 pC/N, 1,536, respectively for low loss multilayer ceramics actuator application.
