평등자계 형성용 전자석 자극 구조에 관한 연구 (Magnetic Pole Structure of Electro-Magnet for Forming Uniform Magnetic Field)

  • In this study, the ellipsoidal cap type magnetic pole structure was proposed for the electro-magnet in B-H curve tracer. From the simulation for the electro-magnet without specimen, the area of effective uniform field(99% range for the central field value) was considerably increased in case of the newly proposed ellipsoidal cap type magnetic pole than that of the conventional simple-inclined cap type magnetic pole. Also, through the simulation for the electro-magnet with permanent magnet specimen(NaFe30), the optimal Positions of the magnetic field measurement sensor(Hall sensor) were found out in each case and the errors were decreased in case of the newly proposed ellipsoidal cap type magnetic pole.

  • In recent years, navigational and fisheries instruments are rapidly advancing. Especially data processing. data transferring and data interchange throughout the digital signals has been in high progress. Even though the ship's heading is also provided by a gyro-compass, an electro-magnetic compass studying by us currently is easy to issue adequate data to instruments requiring the information for the ship's heading. especially in small fishing boats. As the main element of the electro-magnetic compass is a three-axis magnetic sensors, the developing of the high performance sensor is in highly necessity in the beginning. This paper describes on the development of electro-magnetic compass of three-axis fixed type by using three-axis detection new type magnetic sensor without gimbals. even though usual electro-magnetic compass have to need necessarily a gimbal system in order to keep horizontal condition of the compass.

Pyroeffects on magneto-electro-elastic sensor bonded on mild steel cylindrical shell

  • Magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) materials under thermal environment exhibits pyroelectric and pyromagnetic coefficients resulting in pyroeffects such as pyroelectric and pyromagnetic. The pyroeffects on the behavior of multiphase MEE sensor bonded on top surface of a mild steel cylindrical shell under thermal environment is presented in this paper. The study aims to investigate how samples having different volume fractions of the multiphase MEE sensor behave due to pyroeffects using semi-analytical finite element method. This is studied at an optimal location on a mild steel cylindrical shell, where the maximum electric and magnetic potentials are induced due to these pyroeffects under different boundary conditions. It is assumed that sensor and shell is perfectively bonded to each other. The maximum pyroeffects on electric and magnetic potentials are observed when volume fraction is $v_f$ = 0.2. Additionally, the boundary conditions significantly influence the pyroeffects on electric and magnetic potentials.

TEM 법에 의한 철근 부식 측정 센서 개발에 대한 기초 연구 (The Elementary Study on the Development of a Sensor for Measurement of Steel Corrosion by Transient Electro-Magnetic (TEM) Method)

  • In order to measure steel corrosion in mortar by a transient electro-magnetic (TEM) Method, the development of the sensors have been studied. The sensors were made of enamelled wire with diameter of 0.25mm and Acril. The sensor configuration was used as a coincident loop type. The secondary electro motive force(EMF) was measured with SIROTEM III. The accelerator was equipped with the SIROTEM III. The accelerator permits the transmitter to turn off approximately 10~15 times faster than normal. The high resolution time series used for very shallow or high resistivity investigation was selected. The steels were embedded in mortar which were made from sand : cement : water ratio of 2 : 1: 0.5. The mortar specimen was 50cm long, 20cm wide and 10cm thick. To investigate steel corrosion in mortar, the sensors used were with 2$\times$2$cm^2$(3, 6, 9$\Omega$), 3$\times$3$cm^2$(3, 6, 9$\Omega$) and 6$\times$6$cm^2$(3, 6, 9$\Omega$). The obtained result obtained showed that the sensor 8(6$\times$6$cm^2$, 6$\Omega$) was the proper sensor for the measurement of steel corrosion in mortar.

자동 자기 왜곡보정 방위센서 개발 (Development of Auto-Tuning Geomagnetic Compass)

  • The need for position information in agriculture is gradually increasing for precise control farm vehicle and effective manage farm land. Though geomagnetic sensor has a lot of merits in estimating heading angle of vehicle because of low costs and sensing ability of magnetic north, it is easy that sensor outputs are distorted in electro magnetic field environment. This study was conducted to develop geomagnetic compass which could be available in measuring relative position from reference point correcting output distorted by external electro magnetic field in a small scale field. Magnetic inducing sensor (PNI's Vector2X) which wound enamel coated copper coil on ferrite core in order to measure and correct earth magnetic field. Magnetic azimuth was corrected using the algorithm which estimated amount of magnetic distortion from the difference between each outputs of magnetic sensors that located on the cross shaped base. Developed auto-tuning magnetic sensor was showed less then 5% as bearing accuracy in the strong magnetic field.

박판 맞대기 용접에서 전자기식 센서를 이용한 용접선 자동 추적 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Automatic Seam Tracking System Using Electro-Magnetic Sensor for Sheet Metal Arc Welding of Butt Joints)

  • In this study, a magnetic sensor to make use of eddy current was developed to detect the weld seam of butt joint in the sheet metal arc welding. This system consist of the sensor device for detecting the weld line, the servo control device for driving the weld torch movement and the control unit. A signal processing was applied to smooth the output signal of the sensor. The weld joint was determined by using a 1st order differential method. To improve tracking accuracy of the system, moving average method which has an effect of proportional and weighted integral control was applied to a series of the weld joint positions obtained above. The weld line for tracking was generated by using data regeneration algorithm. Based on these results, each servo motor was controlled by pulse generator. From experimental results, it was revealed that this system has excellent detecting ability for weld line and seam tracking ability.

  • The magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) material under thermal environment exhibits pyroelectric and pyromagnetic coefficients resulting in pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects. The pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects on the behavior of multiphase MEE sensors bonded on top surface of a mild steel beam under thermal environment is presented in this paper. The aim of the study is to find out how samples having different volume fractions of the multiphase MEE composite behave in sensor applications. This is studied at optimal location on the beam, where the maximum electric and magnetic potentials are induced due to pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects under clamped-free and clamped-clamped boundary conditions. The sensor which is bonded on the top surface of the beam is modeled using 8-node brick element. The MEE sensor bonded on mild steel beam is subjected to uniform temperature rise of 50K. It is assumed that beam and sensor is perfectly bonded to each other. The maximum pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects on electric and magnetic potentials are observed when volume fraction is ${\nu}_f=0.2$. The boundary conditions significantly influence the pyroelectric and pyromagnetic effects on electric and magnetic potentials.

전자기 구동장치를 이용한 재료시험기 개발 (Development of a Material Test Machine Using an Electro-Magnetic Actuator)

  • In this research, a material test machine is developed which uses a small electro-magnetic actuator and a leverage mechanism. The leverage mechanism amplifies the force from the electro-magnetic actuator. The electro-magnetic part operates more silently and cleanly than a hydraulic part. In a tooth material study, a test machine does not require a large force capacity because it handles only $4mm^2$-sectioned and short-span specimens. Conventional test machines such as those by Instron and the BOSE Enduratec ELF3200 have too high aforce capacity for a tooth material study. A test machine for a tooth material study requires an acting force only on the order of tens of Newtons (N) operating at several Hertz.

  • Most of the small-type fishing boats in this country don't have the autopilot system such as the large ships have. In this papers, we describes on the development of electro magnetic compass for the autopilot system of the small-type fishing boat, which is utilized the MR(magnetic resistance) device and the inclination sensor. And we investigated the validity of the developed electro magnetic compass through results of actual experiment.

과도전자탐사법에 의한 모르타르 중의 코팅 철근의 부식 측정 방법 개발 (The Development of Measuring Method of Coated Steel Corrosion in Mortar by Transient Electro-Magnetic(TEM) Method)

  • To study measurement of coated steel corrosion in mortar, a transient electro-magnetic(TEM) method was adapted. The sensors were made of enamelled wire with diameter of 0.25mm(transmitter), 0.1mm(receiver) and the secondary electro motive force(EMF) was measured with SIROTEMIII. The sensors configuration was used as in loop configuration. After coated steels were corroded by the salt spray during 3, 7, 15, 25days, they were embedded in mortar which were made from sand : cement : water ratio of 2 : 1 :0.5. To investigate coated steel corrosion in mortar, the sensors were used. ( sensorl - $T_x$ : $4{\Omega}$, $R_x$ : $10{\Omega}$, $3{times}3cm$, sensor2 - $T_x$ : $8{\Omega}$, $R_x$ : $10{\Omega}$, $3{times}3cm$, sensor3 - $T_x$ : $4{\Omega}$, $R_x$ : $10{\Omega}$, $6{times}6cm$, sensor4 - $T_x$ : $8{\Omega}$, $R_x$ : $10{\Omega}$, $6{times}6cm$). The obtained results showed that the secondary EMF was decreased with specimens of 3, 7days corroded coationg steel in mortar and then increased with specccimens of 15, 25days corroded one. And it was confirmed that measurement of coated steel corrosion in mortar by a transient electro-magnetic(TEM) method is possible.
