  • DC electricity feeder system operating in the urban railway is typically a feedback circuit consisted of the contact wire and electric railway vehicle via rail. But stray current is flowed on a structure that is not part of the intended electrical circuit with respect to a given structure. This paper presents comparison analysis of field test cases based on criteria of electrolytic corrosion protection of buried metallic structures adjacent to DC traction systems. As a result of it, we confirmed that measurement methods are different from each other about the same tests. Therefore measurement methods to prevent electrolytic corrosion need to establish electrical facilities standards to be applied domestic.

  • In an electric vehicle driving system, the regeneration power charging the battery with electricity is applied as the driver controls the brake. This paper is proposed a torque compensation algorithm that can regenerate due to extend regeneration area at the low speed of EV system. In order to verify the proposed method, PSIM simulation is performed and it is confirmed that regeneration occurred the proposed method is regenerated at low speed by comparing the existing method with the proposed method.

  • Electric vehicles contribute greatly to energy conservation, $CO_2$ reduction and energy security through high fuel economy and various electric sources. Electric cars have a huge economic impact. More than 14 million hybrid electric cars have been sold worldwide. More than 3 million plug-in electric vehicles have been sold worldwide. The environmental impact depends greatly on the amount of national power generation, and as the electric grid becomes more and more carbon-intensive, countries are increasingly adopting hybrid and electric vehicles. Electricity is expanding beyond cars. Electric buses, trucks, and ships have similar benefits.

  • In this study, we analyze the automotive chip ecosystem that recently caused the global supply shortage, and attempt to derive policy implications for us from the conclusion. Automotive chips are critical parts that control various systems so that a vehicle can drive itself or operate with electricity. The current shortage in supply and demand for automotive chips is due to the inconsistency between supply and demand between automotive chip companies and car manufacturers. To promote the automotive chip industry, new investment incentives, tax cuts, and human resource training are needed.

  • This experimental study presents the results of the cooling performance test of a $CO_2$ heat pump system for fuel cell vehicles. The experimental facility provides the cool ing and heating environment for cabin and heat releasing component. The test loop is designed to target the cooling capacity of 5kW and its coefficient of performance (COP) of 2.2. The cooling performance of the heat pump system is strongly dependent on the refrigerant charge and the degree of superheat. We carried out basic experiments to obtain optimum refrigerant charge and the degree of superheat level at the internal heat exchanger outlet. The heat pump system for fuel cell vehicles is different from that of engine-driven vehicles, where the former has an electricity-driven compressor and the latter has the belt-driven (engine-driven) compressor. In the fuel cell vehicle, the compressor speed is an independent operating parameter and it is controlled to meet the cooling/heating loads. Experiments were carried out at cooling mode with respect to the compressor speed and the incoming outdoor air speed. The results obtained in this study can provide the fundamental cool ing performance data using the $CO_2$ heat pump system for fuel cell vehicles.

  • In this literature, we are introduce a basic design of multi energy hub based on natural gas governor station. Multi energy hub consists of turbo expender generator, phosphoric acid fuel cell, pressure swing adsorption, H2 charging station, utilities and etc. We design a hybrid energy hub system that provides energy using these complex energies, and calculates the amount of electricity that can be produced and the amount of hydrogen charged through the process analysis. TEG and phosphoric acid fuel cell produce 2,290 to 2,380 kW and can supply electricity to 500 houses. In addition, By-product H2 gas is refined to H2 vehicle fuel. This will help maximize the balance of energy demand and supply and improve national energy efficiency by integrating unused decompression energy power generation technology and various power generation/heat source technologies.

  • Many kinds of generation systems have been developed to use ocean energy. Among these, with the use of an oscillating water column (OWC) for power generation is attracting attention. The OWC-type wave power generation system converts wave energy into electricity by operating a generator turbine with the oscillating water level in a column of water. There are two ways to convert wave power into electricity using an OWC. One uses a cross-flow turbine using the water level inside the OWC. The other method uses the flow of air in a Wells turbine, which depends on the water level. An experiment was carried out using a 2-D wave tank in order to minimize the number of empirical tests. The design factors were taken from Koo et al. (2012) and the experimental environment assumed by free surface motion. This paper deals with characteristics of two types of wave energy conversion systems combine with a breakwater. One model uses an air-driven Wells turbine and a cross-flow water turbine. The other type uses a cross-flow water turbine. Wave energy converters with OWCs have mostly been studied using air-driven Wells turbines. The efficiency of the cross-flow turbine was about 15% higher than that of the other model, and the water level of the OWC internal chamber for the cross-flow water turbine and air-driven Wells turbine was less than about 40% lower than the one using only the cross-flow water turbine.

  • In modern society, environmental and energy problems have caused to replace cars with environment friendly energy. Vehicles with internal combustion engine which use petroleum are one of the factors that influence global pollution due to environment problems such as fine dust and ozone layer destruction. In addition use of energies for automobile making resources to become depleted. To solve this limited oil energy problem by using other energy sources. To the problem using electric energy and green energy as alternative for a solution. Among environment friendly energies this paper studies the possibility of drive service for autonomous vehicles that self-charges using only solar energy and whether they can be used as pollution free and alternative energy for automobiles. Studies was researched based on published literature review, data from ministry of transportation and automobile companies. Also case of electric vehicle and prototype automobile using only solar energy and the theory of near future technologies. Many automakers are using electric cars as alternative energy. Also making efforts to use solar energy as an substitute energy source and as a way to supplement electricity. Results show that there is a potential on operating autonomous vehicle using only solar energy. Furthermore, it will be possible to use automobiles actively, also use and supply solar energy. This paper suggest the possibility of contributing to the future of the automotive industry.

  • This paper deals with the automatic flight control system for an unmanned target drone which is operated by an army as an anti-air gun shooting training. By automation of unmanned target drone that is manually operated by external pilot, pilot can reduce workload and an army can reduce the budget. Most UAVs which are developed until today use high-cost sensors as AHRS and IMU to measure the attitude, but those are contradictory for the reduction of budget. This paper says the development of low-cost automatic flight control system which makes possible of automatic flight with low-cost sensors. We have developed the integrated automatic flight control system by integrating electricity module, switching module, monitoring module and RC receiver as an one module. We also prove the performance of automatic flight control system by flight test.

  • As the electric vehicle (EV) market in South Korea grows, it is required to expand charging facilities to respond to rapidly increasing EV charging demand. In order to conduct a comprehensive facility planning, it is necessary to forecast future demand for electricity and systematically analyze the impact on the load capacity of facilities based on this. In this paper, we design and develop a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network model that predicts the daily peak electric load at each charging station using the EV charging data of KEPCO. First, we obtain refined data through data preprocessing and outlier removal. Next, our model is trained by extracting daily features per charging station and constructing a training set. Finally, our model is verified through performance analysis using a test set for each charging station type, and the limitations of our model are discussed.
