The effectiveness of treeing resistance in low density polyethylene containing azocompounds were investigated under radiation environments. 4-(4-nitrophenylazo)-1-naphthol and 4-(4-nitrophenylazo) resorcinol were selected for treeing inhibitors. LDPE containing the additives were crosslinked with dicumyl peroxide, irradiated by $Co^{60}$ ${\gamma}$-ray in the presence of air at room temperature. Treeing inception voltage, AC breakdown strength measurements were carried out for electrical insulation characteristics, thermoluminescence and gel contents were analyzed as various irradiation doses also. LDPE with treeing inhibitors showed much better insulation characteristics than pure LDPE. It is interpreted that molecular structures, polar groups and the type of radicals connected on the benzene ring of the additives affected electrical characteristics. From the results, 4-(4-nitrophenylazo) resorcinol was the most effective upon the best treeing and radiation resistance.

점진적 영상 전송과 저해상도에서도 높은 PSNR를 나타내는 방법으로 EZW(Enbeded Zerotree Wavelet)과 SPIHT(set partitioning in hierarchical tree)를 사용한 보다 향상된 영상 압축방법이 제안되어졌다. 특히 SPIHT는 적응 산술부호화(adaptive arithmetic coding)를 사용하지 않고도 EZW보다 뛰어난 압축률과 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 하지만 부대역(subband)간의 유사성(similarity)을 이용한 제로트리 부호화에서 계층을 나누는 일은 계수 사이의 연결관계를 깰 수 있기 때문에 간단한 일은 아니다. 본 논문에서는 SPIHT의 비트열을 여러개의 계층으로 나누고 각각의 해상도로 복원하는 새로운 정렬 방법을 제안하고, 계층간의 비트열을 균일하게 나눔으로써 보다 효율적으로 전송 할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 복호시에 낮은 해상도일수로 복원시간의 이득을 볼 수 있는 향상된 방법을 제안한다.

중-한 기계번역 시스템에 있어서 중국어 복합명사를 정확하게 처리하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 결정트리를 이용하여 품사의미 애매성을 포함된 복합명사를 인식하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제안한 방법으로 구축된 규칙이 기존의 방법보다 f-measure가 10.9% 더 좋은 성능을 보여 주었다.

Monolayers of lipids on a water surface have attracted much interest as models of biological membranes, but also as precursors of multilayer systems promising many technical applications. Until now, many methodologies have been developed in order to gain a better understand. Photoisomerization in monolayers of a novel azobenzene compound, azobenzene dendrimer, was investigated for the first time by means of the absorption spectrum and Maxwell displacement current (MDC) technique. Dendrimers are well-defined macromolecules exhibiting a tree-like structure, first derived by the cascade molecule approach. According to the absorption spectrum, trans-to-cis conversion ratio was estimated to the third generation of azobenzene dendrimer deposited onto a glass substrate. Temperature-dependent induced charge with trans-cis isomerization was also measured by means of MDC technique.

There exists a interface among the different kinds of materials in the solid insulating ones, which effects on the insulating capability heavily. The insulating construction has been developed for each usages and take themselves into several sorts. The conjunction between CV cables have the electrical weakness of solidity and solid interface, so they were focused at the long distance-line. To this background, it is very important to get the information on the interface influencing on the insulating capability of cable and to observe its procedure. In this paper, the interface was made artificially to research the effect owing to the toughness of interface, which results in the aging and treeing proceeding was observed. The polyethylen, as is generally using for the cable, was taken in this research.

This paper describes how to diagnose SBR plant equipment using time-series data mining. It shows the equipment diagnostics based upon vibration signals that are acquired from each device for process control. Data transform techniques including two data preprocessing skills and data mining methods were employed in the data analysis. The proposed method is not only suitable for SBR equipment, but is also suitable for other industrial devices. The experimental results performed on a lab-scale SBR plant show a good equipment-management performance.

In this paper, a new speech enhancement method using level adapted wavelet packet is presented. First, we propose a level adapted wavelet packet to alleviate a drawback of the conventional node adapted one in noisy environment. Next, we suggest an adaptive noise estimation method at each node on level adapted wavelet packet tree. Then, for more accurate noise component subtraction, we propose a new estimation method of spectral subtraction weight. Finally, we present a modified spectral subtraction method. The proposed method is evaluated on various noise conditions: speech babble noise, F-l6 cockpit noise, factory noise, pink noise, and Volvo car interior noise. For an objective evaluation, the SNR test was performed. Also, spectrogram test and a very simple listening test as a subjective evaluation were performed.

지능형 빌딩 환경 모니터링 시스템과 같이 실내에서 센서 네트워크를 이용하여 환경 데이터를 수집하는 네트워크가 점점 확산되고 있다. 이와 같은 건축물 내에서의 무선 센서 네트워크는 랜덤하게 센서 노드들이 뿌려지는 것이 아니라, 사람의 의지대로 배치가 된다. 따라서 위치정보를 모르는 상황의 무선 센서 네트워크들이 가지는 라우팅 방법을 사용하는 것이 아니라 더 간결하면서 강한 네트워크 유지 능력을 가지는 라우팅 방법이 사용되게 된다. 본 논문에서는 트리 라우팅을 이용한 건물 환경 모니터링 시스템에 에너지 효율을 높이기 위하여 네트워크의 상황을 고려한 SVM을 이용한 동적 라우터 선택기법을 포함한 동적 트리 라우팅 기법에 대한 연구와 이의 구현을 보이고 있다.

Treeing inhibitors of barbituric acid derivatives effects on the electrical properties of crosslinked low density polyethylene under radiation environments were investigated. The electrical parameters for tree inception voltage, AC breakdown strength, volume resistivity, capacitance and dissipation factor at 1MHz and thermoluminescence, gel content measurements were discussed as a function of irradiated dosages. From the results, barbituric acid among the treeing inhibitors was shown the best treeing and radiation resistance.

Captions include information which relates to the images. In order to obtain the information in the captions, text extraction methods from images have been developed. However, most existing methods can be applied to captions with a fixed height or stroke width using fixed pixel-size or block-size operators which are derived from morphological supposition. We propose an edge connected components based method that can extract Korean captions that are composed of various sizes and fonts. We analyze the properties of edge connected components embedding captions and build a decision tree which discriminates edge connected components which include captions from ones which do not. The images for the experiment are collected from broadcast programs such as documentaries and news programs which include captions with various heights and fonts. We evaluate our proposed method by comparing the performance of the latent caption area extraction. The experiment shows that the proposed method can efficiently extract various sizes of Korean captions.
