견인전동기의 복합가속열화 상태진단에 의한 고장예측 및 신뢰성 평가 (Fault Prediction & Reliability Estimation of the Traction Motor by the Complex Accelerating Degradation and Condition Diagnosis)

  • In this paper, stator form-winding sample coils based on silicone resin and polyimide were made for fault prediction and reliability estimation on the 200 Class insulation system of traction motors. The complex accelerative degradation was performed by periods during 10 cycles, which was composed of thermal stress, fast rising surge voltage, vibration, water immersion and overvoltage applying. After aging of 10 cycles, condition diagnosis test such as insulation resistance & polarization index, capacitance & dielectric loss and partial discharge properties were investigated in the temperature range of 20∼160$^{\circ}C$. Relationship among condition diagnosis test was analyzed to find an dominative degradation factor and an insulation state at end-life point.

  • In this paper, application of NN (Neural Network) as a method of pattern discrimination of PD(partial discharge) which occurs at the stator coil of traction motor was studied. For PD data acquisition, three defective models are manufactured such as internal discharge model, slot discharge model and surface discharge model. PD data for recognition were acquired from PD detector and DAQ board which is able to analysis the PD signal and perform the pattern discrimination. Statistical distributions and parameters are calculated to discriminate PD sources. And also these statistical distribution parameters are applied to classify PD sources by BP and has good recognition rate on the discharge sources.

견인전동기 고정자 권선의 절연상태 분석 (Analysis of Insulation Condition in Traction Motor Stator Windings)

  • Diagnostic, surge and ac breakdown tests are widely used to evaluate the insulation condition of stator winding in traction motor. Diagnostic test included ac current, tan delta and maximum partial discharge. The result of diagnostic test indicates that five kinds of stator windings are good condition. Surge test was peformed to confirm the healthy of turn insulation in stator windings. This test is very easy to detect the turn insulation failure between normal and defect stator windings. After completing the diagnostic test, ac breakdown test has conducted gradually increasing ac voltage, until the stator winding punctured. No. 5 stator windings failed near rated voltage of 18.9 kV The breakdown voltage of No. 1 stator windings was 13.0 kV The ac breakdown voltage of normal winding is about 1.45 times higher than that of defect windings. The failure was located in a line-end coil at the exit from the core slot.

  • An inverter-driven induction motor is used as the traction motor for a high speed drive system that required safty, reliability and performance and so on. rotor bar and end ring of the traction motor are the electrical equipments which form the conductive close loop and then induce current by interaction wi th the current of stator. the materials selection of rotor bar and end ring are seriously considered in the aspects of electrical and mechanical specification and Motor slip relation to inverter. Particularly motor slip guarantee the safty and reliability of induction motor. this paper show the material selection and the determining of slip in the design of traction motor for high speed train by analyzing the specifications of material being used currently.

  • In this study we deal with design procedures for the flywheel energy storage system that has the capacity to store the regenerative energy produced from the railway vehicles. The flywheel energy storage system (FESS) stores the regenerative electrical energy into the high speed rotational flywheel, by conversion the electrical energy into the mechanical rotational energy. Thus the FESS is composed of the energy conversion components, such as the motor and generator, mechanical support components, such as the rotational rotor, the magnetic bearings to support the rotor, and the digital controller to control the air gap between the rotor and the magnetic bearings. In this paper the design procedures for the rotor operating at the rigid mode and the magnetic bearings to support the rotational rotor without contact are presented.

  • 본 논문은 FEA 기법을 이용하여 40kW급 HEV용 Traction 모터의 설계 및 고효율화를 위한 회전자 영구자석의 Eddy Current loss 저감 방안에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 먼저 FEA 기법을 이용하여 40kW급 HEV용 Traction 모터 설계 및 특성해석을 수행하여 FEA 해석기법의 타당성을 확보하였다. 또한 Traction 모터의 손실 저감을 위해 magnet부분의 eddy current loss 저감방안에 대해 논하였으며, FEA 기법을 이용하여 회전자 magnet이 Solid, 1/2, 1/4, 1/14 segments로 나눈 타입에 따른 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 magnet형태를 기존의 Solid 타입에서 14segments 타입으로 분할 시, magnet 내부의 current path가 줄어들어 eddy current loss가 가장 많이 저감됨을 알 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 HEV용 traction 모터의 고효율, 고성능화 설계방안을 도출 할 수 있었다.

하이브리드 차량용 견인전동기의 절연성능 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis on Insulation Performance of Traction Motors for Hybrid Vehicles)

  • The object of this paper is to acquire the data related to insulation evaluation of hybrid vehicle traction motors. We made a comparative analysis on Insulation Resistance (IR), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), and Polarization Index (PI) of the motor stators. The experiment was carried out according to IEEE Std. 43 and IEC 60085-1 for insulation resistance test standard of rotating machinery. Test voltage of 500 V was applied between a phase and the enclosure. The IR and the DAR of used motors were lower than those of new ones. The DAR and the PI were $0.92{\sim}1.02$ and $0.74{\sim}1.1$, respectively and the result did not meet the recommendation basis 2 for insulation level H. From the experimental results, we could prepare parameters and basis for insulation evaluation of the traction motor stator by the comparative analysis of short-time insulation resistance changes, DAR and PI.

  • 누설전류는 의도된 회로 이외의 경로로 흐르는 전류를 말하며, 일반적으로 도시철도의 급전 시스템은 레일을 부극선으로 사용하기 때문에 레일이 대지와 완벽하게 절연되어 있지 않다면 레일을 통해 흐르는 전류의 일부는 누설전류로 땅속을 흐르게 된다. 이때 토양을 통해 누설 전류가 유출되는 레일과 지하매설 금속구조물에서 전식이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 국내 도시철도 운행지역 인근 지하매설 금속구조물의 전식방지 현황을 설문조사를 통하여 조사하였다.

  • In this study, PD(partial discharge) signals which occurrs at stator coil of traction Motor are acquired. these data are used for classifying the PD sources. W(Neural Network) has recently applied to classify the PB pattern. The PD data are used for the learning process to classify PD sources. The PD data come from normal specimen and defective specimens such as internal void discharges, slot discharges and surface discharges. PD distribution parameters are calculated from a set of the data, which is used to realize diagnostic algorithm. NN which applies distribution parameters is useful to classify the PD patterns of defective sources generating in stator coil of traction motor.

  • This paper presents to verify the selective grounding fault protective relaying technique for the ungrounded DC traction power supply system. This system selectively blocks fault section when grounding fault occurred. In order to perform this verification, field test facilities have been installed on Oesam substation and Worldcup-Stadium substation, and field test process has been suggested. Also, selective grounding fault protective relaying components and rail voltage reduction device have been tested with the various trial examinations. In order to compare and evaluate performance of the selective grounding fault protective relaying function, field test system was modeled and the system fault simulation results were compared and evaluated with the field test result. Performance of selective grounding fault protective relaying function was evaluated with the above-mentioned process, and the fact that the system recognizes fault section irrespective of insulation between rail and ground and fault resistance from grounding fault.
