  • This paper presents the design and characteristics analysis of induction machine for diesel-electric hybrid vehicle powertrain. Diesel-electric hybrid vehicles are very efficacious in reduction of consumption energy, environment pollution and saftly yields with high dynamic of machines. However, their sophisticated construction requires from designers both complex made-technology and control strategy which would be able to put into practice this requirements. These problems are still considered in processing the design and analysis of induction machine. The requirements for a given volume, input power to weight ratio, high efficiency and wide speed range are met by the induction machine.

  • Induction motors are a critical component of industrial processes. Sudden failures of such machines can cause the heavy economical losses and the deterioration of system reliability. Based on the reliability and cost competitiveness of driving system (motors), the faults detection and the diagnosis of system are considered very important factors. In order to perform the faults detection and diagnosis of motors, the vibration monitoring method and motor current signature analysis (MCSA) method are emphasized. In this paper, MCSA method is used for induction motor fault diagnosis. This method analyses the motor's supply current. since this diagnoses faults of the motor. The diagnostic algorithm is based on the principal component analysis(PCA), and the diagnosis system is programmed by using LabVIEW and MATLAB.

  • This paper considers pulse width modulation (PWM) methods which are used in 3-phase brushless DC motor controller. Due to many disadvantages of bipolar PWM method, unipolar PWM method is mostly used in industrial field. In constant speed control application, the unipolar PWM method shows a good performance of speed control. But in the wide range of speed control application, it shows a poor performance especially when deceleration is needed. So we propose hybrid PWM method that utilizes two PWM methods according to the sign of speed controller output. The simulation and experimental result shows that the proposed method improves a speed control performance of the brushless DC motor which is applied to industrial sewing machines.

  • Display devices are becoming increasingly important as an interface between humans and machines in the growing information society In display device, PDP(Plasma Display Panel) has many advantages in that wide screen, light weight, thin, wide viewing angle and unaffected by magnetic field. In this paper, modified ramp waveform is suggested by Vt Close Curve, and PDP driving circuit is designed by modified ramp waveform, this modified ramp waveform have more addressing wall voltage better then the old ramp waveform.

  • This paper deals with an application of optimization technique for available transfer capability(ATC) calculation. ATC is an important indicator of the usable amount of transmission capacity accessible by several parties for commercial trading. Sequential quadratic programming(SQP) is used to calculate the ATC problem with state-steady security constraints. The proposed method is applied to 10 machines 39 buses model systems. The results are discussed and compared to those obtained by continuation power flow(CPF).

  • To predict efficiency of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(IPMSM) and to cope with the demagnetization risk of permanent magnets used in the IPMSM, accurate iron analysis of the IPMSM is very important at the motor design stage. In the analysis, we developed a new iron loss model of electrical machines for high-speed operation. The calculated iron loss was compared with the experimental data. It was clarified that the proposed method can estimate iron loss effectively at high-speed operation.

개인별 고유얼굴 공간을 이용한 얼굴 인식 방법 (Face Recognition Method using Individual Eigenfaces Space)

  • 본 논문에서는 얼굴인식에 널리 사용되는 고유얼굴(eigenfaces)을 이용한 방법에서 고유얼굴들을 고유치(eigenvalues)의 크기에 따라 사용하는 기존의 방식과는 달리, 개인별로 인식에 사용될 고유얼굴들을 선택하여 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. YALE, ORL(Olivetti Research Laboratory) 데이터베이스에 대하여, 기존의 방법과 제안한 방법에 의한 선택에 따른 고유얼굴들을 사용한 경우를 비교 실험하였다. 실험결과, 개인별로 선택된 고유얼굴들에 의한 특징벡터를 이용한 인식이 더 우수한 성능을 보였다.

  • This paper describes the commutation current and ignition angle of current which occures in the combination of silicon rectifier with synchronous generator when the constants of rectifier circuits parameters are changed. This is precisely accomplished by setting-up the analog computer with voltage generating circuits and non-linear elements circuits. When the characteristics of rectification are properly selected in the simulation, this method is able to extend to the connection of SCR and electric machinery. We also expect that this method is helpful to the investigation of characteristics, and design of alternating exciters, self-excited synchronous generators instead of D-C machines.

  • A sub-cooled liquid nitrogen system is known as a promising method to develop high voltage superconducting apparatuses such as superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) and superconducting cables. To develop a high voltage superconducting machine adopting the sub-cooled liquid nitrogen system with a constant pressure. injecting a non-condensable gas is indispensable. In this study. the dielectric characteristics of insulation gases are investigated and analyzed by using electric utilization factors ($\xi$). It is found that the maximum electric field at sparkover that occurs with 50 % probability. $E_{MAX.50%}$ exponentially decreases as the S increases. This means that the $E_{MAX.50%}$ at sparkover can be estimated with the $E_{MAX.50%}$

  • Smart factory is a remarkable development from traditional manufacturing systems to data-based smart manufacturing systems that can connect and process data continuously, collected from machines, production equipment to production and business processes, capable of supporting workers in making decisions or performing work automatically. Smart factory is the key and center of the fourth industrial revolution, combining improvements in traditional manufacturing activities with digital technology to help factories achieve greater efficiency, contributing to increased revenue and reduce operating costs for businesses. Besides, the importance of smart factories is to make production more quality, efficient, competitive and sustainable. Businesses in Vietnam are in the process of learning and applying smart factory models. However, the number of businesses applying the pine factory model is still limited due to many barriers and difficulties. Therefore, in this paper we conduct a survey to assess the needs and current situation of businesses in applying smart factories and propose some specific solutions to develop and promote application of smart factory model in Vietnamese businesses.
