  • This paper presents an innovative prototype of a new conceptual electromagnetic induction heated type far infrared rays radiant heating appliance using the voltage-fed edge-resonant ZVS-PWM high frequency inverter using IGBTs for food cooking and processing which operates under a constant frequency variable power regulation scheme. This power electronic appliance with soft switching high frequency inverter using IGBTs has attracted special interest from some advantageous viewpoints of safety, cleanliness, compactness and rapid temperature response, which is more suitable for consumer power electronics applications.

  • Real-time energy monitoring systems is a demand-response system which is reported to be effective in saving energy up to 12%. Real-time energy monitoring system is commonly composed of smart-plugs which sense how much electrical power is consumed and IHD(In-Home Display device) which displays power consumption patterns. Even though the monitoring system is effective, users should themselves match which smart plus is connected to which appliance. In order to make the matching work to be automatic, the monitoring system need to have appliance identification algorithm, and some works have made under the name of NILM(Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring). This paper proposed an algorithm which utilizes multiple classifiers to improve accuracy of appliance identification. The algorithm proposes to understand each classifiers performance, that is, when a classifier make a result how much the result is reliable, and utilize it in choosing the final result among result candidates from many classifiers. By using the proposed algorithm this paper make 4.5% of improved accuracy with respect to using single best classifier, and 2.9% of improved accuracy with respect to other method using multiple classifiers, so called CDM(Commitee Decision Mechanism) method.

  • This paper proposes a core loss analysis method to obtain high accuracy prediction by using Multi-curve representing magnetic properties of a electrical steel in Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Generally, the magnetic prosperities of the electrical steel are measured by Epstein Method based on the international standards that are not good sufficient to predict motor performances. The method only aims to grade products in steel companies The magnetic properties of actual stator core is highly different to those given by steel companies due to the fact that stacking effect, shearing stress, nature anisotropy of electrical steels are not taken into account. In this paper, the magnetic properties are variously measured by three measuring devices, and then the several BH curves and BW curves obtained are used to analyze the core loss of a IPM. The BH curve in the high magnetic field are extrapolated using the mathematical formulation with the maximum saturation magnetic polarization measured

확산 모형을 이용한 고효율기기의 보급량 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on Forecast of Penetration Amount of High-Efficiency Appliance Using Diffusion Models)

  • 현재 에너지 효율프로그램에 대한 수요관리 목표량과 투자비는 과거 실적 데이터를 바탕으로 단일한 Bass 확산 모형을 이용하여 산정되고 있다. 국내외적으로 제품 등의 보급량 예측에 널리 사용되는 Bass 확산 모형은 시간과 세 가지 계수들에 대한 함수로 표현되며, 계수들의 추정에 있어서 제품의 과거 실적 데이터의 충분한 확보가 필수적이다. 국내의 경우 에너지 효율 측면에서 고효율기기의 수요관리 목표량 산정을 위해 기기별 보급량 예측이 선행되어야 하며, 기기별 보급량 예측은 Bass 모형을 근간으로 하고 있다. 그러나 현재 진행 중인 고효율기기 보급 프로그램의 조명기기, 인버터, 자판기와 전동기는 그 진행이 길지 않아 Bass 확산 모형을 이용한 보급량 예측에 필수요건인 충분한 실적 데이터가 존재하지 않은 실정이다. 이는 기기의 미래 보급량 예측에 큰 오차가 발생할 수 있으며 보급 예측량에 대한 정확성을 기대하기 어려우므로 앞으로의 고효율기기의 보급 예측의 방식에 제도적 개선이 필요한 상황이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Bass, virtual Bass, Logistic과 Lawrence & Lawton 확산 모형을 이용하여 각 고효율 기기의 미래 보급 확산 추이를 살펴보았다. 또한 기기별 특성에 따른 모형 선호도 평가를 위해 통계랑 기준에 근거하여 실적 데이터와의 오차 범위를 산정하였다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 각 확산 모형을 이용한 기기 보급량 예측에 있어서 확산 모형의 단순 적용에 따른 오차 발생 원인과 기기별 특성에 따른 확산 모형 선호도를 분석하였다.

  • Midnight electrical power appliance has come into a wide use due to the midnight power rate system introduced for effective power operation and an improved load factor. However, the sharply increased number of the appliance has brought about a serious problem in midnight power supply for the past few years. Moreover, the automatic control device, developed to address the problem, has not properly functioned because of the misusage and illegal conversion of the device. This paper will suggest solutions to the problem by improving the automatic control system for supply time (ACST) and demonstrate its effectiveness through tests.

  • 본 연구에서는 백색가전 제품의 특성에 맞는 임베디드 시스템 플랫폼 디자인을 제안한다. 프로세서는 최근 더욱 각광을 받고 있는 ARM 계열의 디바이스를 사용하였으며 운영체제는 임베디드 시장에서 급부상하고 있는 리눅스를 대상으로 한다. 본 연구는 백색가전 제품군 전체를 대상으로 하고 전자레인지를 이용하여 시제품을 구현하였다. 특히 백색가전은 제품의 특성상 제조원가에 민감한 제품이므로 메모리 등 시스템의 자원 사용을 최소화하여 제조원가를 낮추는 방향으로 디자인의 방향을 정해야 한다. 하드웨어 비용은 현실적으로 거의 시장에서 정해진 비용의 범주를 크게 벋어나지 못하겠으나 소프트웨어의 크기는 접근하는 방법에 따라 차이가 날 수 있다. 이에 본 논문은 가능한 탑재될 리눅스의 커널 크기를 줄이며 파일시스템 및 기타 라이브러리의 크기를 최소화하여 백색가전에 적합한 플랫폼을 제시하는데 주목적이 있다.

  • European Union Member States shall ensure that, from 1 July 2006, new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market does not contain mercury, cadmium, lead, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls(PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDE) (by Directive 2002/95/EC of The European Parliament and the Council of 27 january, 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment ). So, It is important to develop lead free solder and to assure the reliability of appliance. But lead free solder(i.e. Sn-3Ag-0.5Cu) have some problems such as lift off, whisker, migration and crack, etc. In this paper we discuss the reliability assurance method in lead free solder and appliance.

  • This paper deals with operation characteristics of a written-pole motor (WPM), having that of a permanent magnet (PM) synchronous motor and induction motor at once. The WPM also has a magnet layer on the surface of the rotor and the exciter pole that is a device to make the magnet layer magnetized during the operation. This study, introducing a fundamental structure and operation characteristics of a single-phase WPM, proposes a initial design method. With those ground, a 130W, single-phase WPM that is designed for a home appliance is presented and verified with a performance through the experiment.

  • A new method for reducing the common-mode current generated by the voltage variations in a two-inverter air conditioner system by applying a synchronized pulse-width modulation (PWM) strategy is proposed. The PWM signals of the master-mode inverter are generated based on the reference voltage, while those of the slave-mode inverter are output in the opposite direction when the master-mode inverter changes its switching state. However, the slave-mode control results in a mismatch between the reference voltage and the actual output voltage that is modified by synchronized control operation. The proposed method is capable of reducing and controlling this voltage error by performing signal selection in the vector space of the slave-mode inverter, which mitigates the distortion of the phase current. The efficacy of this method in reducing conducted emissions has been validated both theoretically and experimentally.

  • We measured stand-by power of electrical machinery and appliance which are used at office and house. And we estimated potential electrical energy saving through stand-by power and the expecting number of supplied apparatus. As a result, We can reduce electrical energy by minimizing a stand-by power consumption up to three billion kWh which are equal to about 1/3 of an atomic power plant's generating power of 1 year.
