This paper was analyzed the resistivity change characteristic of mortar model block and concrete that was made earth electrode that's used concrete or basic concrete of building for 1 year. The early resistivity measurement value of concrete model block is higher than mortar model block. But after 1 year the resistivity measurement value of mortar model block is significantly higher than concrete model block. Because depends on time elapsed complete dryness factor of mortar model block that has not gravel is higher than concrete model block. And absorptance and function of mortar mode block was by far outstanding than concrete model block in the data for verification of the amount of contained water and the amount of dryness of mortar model block and concrete model block.
This paper was analyzed fundamental about electrical characteristic of concrete to practical use base of building as Substitution Ground Electrode and Artificial Ground Electrode. 1) Gravel or Sand has a function that makes increase Resistivity of Concrete and Cement has a function that makes decrease Resistivity of Concrete. 2) Moisture Increase Work is so hard because of dry of Block but the Resistivity was decreased when the moisture of Concrete Block was gradually increased. 3) According to the measurement result of moltar and concrete block, ratio relation of Resistance and Resistivity of each block was thirty-fold difference.
Recent advances in the concrete technology are aiding in minimizing the use of conventional materials by substituting by-products of various industries and energy sources. A large amount of stone waste i.e., dust and slurry form both are being originated during natural stone processing and causing deadily effects on the environment. The disposal problem of stone waste can be resolved effectively by using waste in construction industries. In present work, Kota stone slurry powder, as a substitution of cement was used along with accelerators namely calcium nitrate and triethanolamine as additives, to study their impact on various properties of the concrete mixtures. Kota stone slurry powder (7.5%), calcium nitrate (1%) and triethanolamine (0.05%) were used separately as well in combination in different concrete mixtures. Mechanical Strength, modulus of elasticity and electrical resistivity of concrete specimens of different mix proportions under water curing were studied experimentally. The durability properties in terms of strength and electrical resistivity against sulphate and chloride solution attack at various curing ages were also studied experimentally. Results showed that accelerators and Kota stone slurry powder separately enhanced the mechanical strength and electrical resistivity; but, their combination decreased strength at all curing ages. The durability of concrete specimens was also affected under the exposure to chemical attack too. Kota stone slurry powder found to be the most effective material among all materials. Material characterization was also done to study the microstructural properties.
The effect of reinforcing bars embedded in concrete varies depending on the position of the electrode in the electrical resistivity measurement. In this study, the apparent resistivity according to the electrode arrangement is analyzed for each measurement angle. Through this, it is intended to be used to improve the accuracy of measurement in the concrete resistivity.
Electrical resistivity is a property associated with both the physical and chemical characteristics of concrete. It allows the evaluation of the greater or lesser difficulty with which aggressive substances penetrate the concrete's core before the dissolution of the passive film process and the consequent reinforcement's corrosion begin. This work addresses the capillary absorption of self-compacting concrete (SCC) with various types and contents of additions, correlating it with its electrical resistivity. To that effect, binary and ternary mixes of SCC were produced using fly ashes (FA) and limestone filler (LF). A total of 11 self-compactable mixes were produced: one with cement (C) only; three with C + FA in 30%, 60% and 70% substitution ratios; three with C + LF in 30%, 60% and 70% substitution ratios; four with C + FA + LF in combinations of 10-20%, 20-10%, 20-40% and 40-20% substitution ratios, respectively; and four reference mixes according to the LNEC E 464 specification, which refers to the NP EN 206-1 norm. The evaluation of the capillarity of the mixes produced was made through the determination of the water absorption by capillarity coefficient according to the LNEC E 393 specification. The electrical resistivity was evaluated using the European norm proposal presented by the EU-Project CHLORTEST (EU funded research Project under 5FP GROWTH programme) and based on the RILEM TC-154 EMC technical recommendation. The results indicate that SCC's capillarity is strongly conditioned by the type and quantity of the additions used. It was found that FA addition significantly improves some of the properties studied especially at older ages.
Concrete has been used for many years as a composite material that has excellent mechanical properties and durability for construction. However, concrete ia a poor electrical conductor, especially under dry conditions. Concrete that is excellent in both mechanical and electrical conductivity properties may have important applications in the electrical, electronic, military and construction industry (e.g for de-icing road from snow). The purpose of this investigation is to improve the electrical conductive of cement mortar preparared with graphite as filler. From the test result, as the ratio of graphite/cement increased, fluidity, fluidity and strength decreased but resistivity decreased. The resistivity of electrical conductive cement mortar is effect by water/cement ratio and water content of specimen. From this study, it is enough to assure the use of graphite as a conductive filler for electrical conducive cement mortar.
