A novel grounding system, which is presented in IEC 60364, has been adopted since 2021. A safety evaluation for the human body on the grounding system is required due to the various characteristics of the touch voltage and current passing when the human body experiences an electric shock. The Korea Electrical Safety Corporation (KESCO) and Korea Electric Association (KEA) have been conducting a safety technical education on the grounding system. On the other hand, it is difficult to instruct the electrical safety manager because of a lack of safety evaluations for the test equipment on the grounding system. Therefore, this paper modeled and implemented a test device for a safety evaluation depending on the grounding system of IEC 60364. Namely, this paper presents the modeling of the test device for a safety evaluation using PSCAD/EMTDC S/W, which is composed of an AC grid section, s test device section on the grounding system, and a sub-device section. This paper implemented a test device for safety evaluation, which consisted of an AC grid section, TT grounding system section, TN-S grounding system section, and monitoring section. From the simulation and test results with the safety characteristics of the human body in the TT and TN-S grounding system, when the fault impedances are 0[Ω], 10[Ω], and 100[Ω], the currents passing through the human body in the TT grounding system are 104[mA], 87.4[mA], and 35.5[mA], respectively. The corresponding currents in the TN-S grounding system are 54.9[mA], 4.1[mA], and 0.4[mA], respectively. Based on the results, the protection performance for an electric shock to the human body in the TN-S system is better than the TT system. This can be improved when the existing grounding system is changed from the TT system to the TN-S system.

PCBs had numerous uses such as hydraulic fluid, heat exchange fluid, sealant, lubricant, and carbonless copy paper. They are most likely found in electric utilities, power stations, industrial facilities, electronic manufacturing plants, petrochemical plants, railroad systems, electric equipment repair facilities, mining sites (active or abandoned), and military camps. Due to its outstanding chemical and thermal stabilities and electrical insulation properties, the commercial and industrial products of PCBs, such as Aroclors, Kaneclors, Clophens, Phenaclors etc., had been widely used as thermal oil and transformer oil from 1930s until the 1970s. The transformer oils were analyzed as a main source of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) emission into the environment. Qualitative estimation of oil extracts as carried out with Aroclor 1242, 1248, 1254, 1260. The transformer oils contained the pure and mixed of Aroclor 1242, Aroclor 1254, and Aroclor 1260. Also, commercial screening kit of 20 ppm and 50 ppm were applied to the transformer oil samples.
Recently, LED (Light Emitting Diode) becomes to be useful to apply for the lightening sources in electric systems and the lightening equipment since the power is less consumed with high efficiency, and the size and the weight of LED are small and light, respectively. The LED is controlled with constant current and SMPS (Switching Mode Power Supply). It is necessary for the LED manufacturer to secure the fundamental technology of designing LED chip, and to study the methodology to improve the power factor (PF) and to design the operational circuit for the development of LED to reduce the power loss in the application of LED lightening. The direct AC (Alternating Current) LED driving circuit, HV9910, is widely used in the industry field. In this paper, it is to evaluate the improved methodology for the power factor and efficiency through simulations when PFC (Power Factor Correction) and Noise Filter are added to HV9910.
The sheet for electromagenetic interference (EMI) shielding was prepared with slurry made by the mixture of binder, methyl ethyl ketone, cyclohexanone and metal powder. We tried to enhance the shielding efficiency by adding carbon nanotube (CNT), which has known as highly conducting material. Surface and component analyses were carried out with SEM and EDS, respectively. The electric characteristics and EMI shielding efficiencies were measured with 4-point probe measurement and EMI efficiency measurement equipment. The sheet with 2% CNT addition showed the lowest electrical resistance, $13.13{\Omega}}{\cdot}cm$. It also showed the highest EMI shielding efficiency of 63 dB.
The purpose of this research is to develop a process and a system to collect, purify and reuse the residual quantity of trimethylgallium, used as a raw material, upon GaN epitaxial growth for LED from a metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) equipment. This research reviews whether TMGa collected from the process can be used through a chemical and structural characteristics evaluation. As a result of analyzing the purity using ICP-MS and ICP-AES, 7N high purity (99.99999%) of TMGa was obtained. According to checking the structural change of TMGa through NMR analysis, TMGa having pure $(CH_3)_3Ga$ structure was obtained without structural change. For reliability review of the collected TMGa, u-GaN was deposited using the MOCVD process and an structural, optical and electrical characteristics evaluation was conducted. As a result, it was found out that the reuse was possible.
In the normal office building, the energy consumption to maintain the reasonable intensity of illumination for the work by using the artificial illumination occupies 30% or greater of the whole building electric energy consumption. If the dependability of the artificial illumination is dropt by positively using the natural lighting from the outside, the large amount of electrical energy can be saved, in addition the more nice visual environment for work can be created. Daylight is lighting source that most closely match visual response of the human, because sunlight and skylight achieve the harmony. For this reason, the daylight of small amount than amount of the artificial lighting source also can give the same effect in work activities of human. In addition, if there is daylight at the window of the building, the energy can be saved by controlling the artificial lighting. In this paper, in the building using the photovoltaic power generation analyze the correlation between the amount of energy generated by photovoltaic and indoor illumination and this was proved through the simulation with Relux 2010. In addition, the amount of daylight inflow in the room and distribution was drawn by the equation and the ratio for the sectional dimming control of each lighting equipment was predicted and the energy saving amount according to this was calculated. As a result, the indoor illumination was satisfied with recommended illumination value of the office and consumption power could be reduced approximately with 20~70%.

In order to save the number of IP address, the system uses 1 IP address for the whole village in which all homes and appliance in this village are addressed using internal identification numbers. This proposed system gives the data transfer accuracy over 99.8% and maximum polling time is 1,120 ms.
The crosstalk among coupled microstrip lines is the major limiting factors of signal qualities in the high-speed digital and communication equipment. In this paper, a three-dimensional finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is applied to analyze the crosstalk between the coupled microstrip lines. The proposed structures of the coupled microstrip lines are investigated to reduce the coupling in a simple way by modifying their ground plane with an optimum gap. The examples of these structures with the different sizes of the gaps on their ground plane are studied. These structures are considered as the four-port network to evaluate transmission efficiency, near- and far-end crosstalk. Gaussian pulse is excited to evaluate the frequency characteristics from dc to 30 ㎓. The transmission efficiency, near- and far-end crosstalk of each structure of the coupled microstrip lines are demonstrated. The numerical results of this study show that the majority of crosstalk is the far-end crosstalk. The usage of the optimum gap on the ground plane can reduce the far-end crosstalk of the coupled microstrip lines while the transmission efficiency is nearly equal.

Recently, the concept of PES(Personal Environment Service) is being widely discussed on various standardization organizations such as ITU-R, ETSI, 3GPP, TTA and etc. The purpose of PES is to introduce the services which can dynamically, automatically and intelligently reconfigures the electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment surrounding the user according to the user preferences included in a user's profile by using a smartphone embedding WPAN radio technologies such as bluetooth and WiFi. This research introduces an Android Platform-based PES system which consists of a PES app, PES devices and a PES server. A smartphone platform is Android 2.2(Froyo) version and 4 simulated PES devices were implemented by using Galaxy Tab. It has shown that the PES would be a killer application of M2M(Machine-to-Machine) or D2D(Device-to-Device) in the future and it would need to study how to update a user's profile based on analyzing user's behaviour for enhancing the PES user's satisfaction.
