  • 기존의 링크박스는 대부분 직매식으로 수침투 방지를 위해 케이스와 뚜껑 사이에 가스켓을 넣고 볼트로 체결하는 방식으로 사용하여 왔다. 이는 링크박스 유지보수 시 매번 볼트를 체결하고 해체하는 작업이 반복되어 현장 작업성이 떨어졌다. 이에 링크박스를 지상에 설치하며, 볼트의 사용을 최소화함으로써 유지보수 시 작업이 용이한 케비넷형 링크박스를 개발하였으며, 개발된 제품에 대해 전기적, 기계적 성능 시험을 수행하여 그 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 원전계측제어시스템개발사업단(KNICS)에서 개발중인 원자로보호계통 캐비닛의 인간공학적 평가를 수행하였는데, 본 논문에서는 이에 대한 평가계획, 평가절차, 그리고 평가결과를 기술한다. 평가에는 기존의 시스템 경험이 있는 발전소계측제어요원과 인간공학 전문가 그룹이 참여하였는데, 새로 개발하는 시스템에 대한 교육 및 훈련이 평가전에 시행되었다. 평가는 운전성을 평가하기 위한 수행도 평가실험과 참여자의 주관적인 의견을 수집하기 위한 설문지 작성으로 구성하였는데, 평가실험을 위한 7개의 실험시나리오를 작성하여 실험설비에 구현하였다. 설문지는 기존 시스템의 운용중 발생하였던 문제점 및 장단점을 평가하기 위한 설문지, KNICS 보호계통 캐비닛의 활용후 개선점을 도출하기 위한 설문지, 그리고 기능적인 측면에서 운용전문가의 의견을 요구하는 설문지 둥의 3종류의 설문지로 구성하였다. 평가실험은 시나리오 운용순서에 따라 진행되었고, 모든 실험시나리오 실행과정은 비디오를 사용하여 기록하였다. 실험평가 데이터의 분석결과 KNICS 원자로보호계통은 유지보수 측면에서 기존의 시스템보다 우수한 것으로 평가되었으며, 화면설계 및 기기설계시 반영하여야 할 개선사항이 도출되었다.

  • Opening commercial service of KTX at the time of demanding more flexible train set for HONAM line and JEONLA line, it's necessary for the Korean High speed train, performing the stabilization; to modify the design in aspect of passenger and maintenance. In order to ensure the optimized interior design in Korean High speed train, it is necessary to review the major items such as disabled passenger facility, toilet, seat arrangement, compartment partition and door, access door, electrical cabinet, color and paint through the European standard and compare with other high speed train.

  • Injector of high voltage or linear ion accelerator is intended to generate, extract and form beam of certain species with required parameters at the entrance of accelerating structure or, for low energy case, directly in the processing chamber (end station). Injector is the main part defining the ion accelerator performance and reliability. Its power supply and control system (PSCS) features are conditioned by placing the injector equipment at high voltage potential and by complexity of the plasma-beam load. The injector's PSCS should provide: - Transmission of electric power onto high voltage (h/v) terminal; - Obtaining of required output characteristics for injector equipment operation; - Transmission of the operational data and start/stop signals from h/v terminal to control cabinet; - Rremote control of injector; - Withstanding the high voltage breakdowns and X-ray radiation; - Compatibility with other equipment. The paper is concerned with analysis of injectors' PSCS structure and description of the system developed for 50 keV, 20 mA heavy ion injector.

  • This paper describes the results of reliability prediction analysis of control rod control system, which is being developed as part of KNICS project. The results of reliability prediction indicate MTBF(Mean Time Between Failure) of cards for control rod control system. A purpose of reliability prediction is to evaluate MTBF of cards, identify the design drawbacks of cards, and propose design improvement to a designer to help design the more reliable control rod control system. This reliability prediction analysis used the the part count and part stress method in the basis of MIL-HDBK-217F.

  • This paper is about the method by which Power Control Unit(PCU) of Control Rod Control System(CRCS) logs events in the system and the real-time monitoring display. This method enables the functions like the event logging of Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM)/power Cabinet, the off-line show of the event data logged and the on-line show by communication between the PCU and the monitoring display. Operators in a nuclear power plant must be able to grasp any possible abnormal states correctly. Because our newly designed system has a good ability to log and display the kinds, tine, and the prior and posterior states of urgent or non-urgent events, the operators can judge, maintain and repair the abnormal event more easily.

  • This paper deals with the design, implementation, and test of a CRCS for nuclear power plants. Although CRCS is still classified into non-safety class, much attention on its reliability issue has been given so far because of its importance for the stable operation of the reactor in the plant. In terms of technical aspects, our system adopts a full-duplex configuration to enhance reliability in contrast to the existing systems that are all simplex.

Experimental Study on the Dielectric Breakdown and Fire Risk Assessment of Electric Parts Exposed to Various Beverages (기호음료에 노출된 전기부품의 절연파괴 및 화재 위험성에 관한 연구)

  • Refrigerator and heating cabinet fires due to the dielectric breakdown of electronic components caused by leaked beverages are being reported frequently. On the other hand, there has been little interest in measuring the electrical characteristics of beverages and studying the cause of fires. In this paper, the electrical conductivity and total dissolved solids (TDS) for 32 different beverages commonly sold in South Korea were measured to study the relationship between the electrical conductivity and dielectric breakdown. Out of these 32 beverages, based on the measurements, some characteristic beverages were selected and further dielectric breakdown tests were conducted. The results showed that the probability of a fire is higher for beverages with high electrical conductivity. Interestingly, beverages with low electrical conductivity had a high likelihood of fire depending on the type of beverage. Moreover, some conditions that cause spark ignition, which lead to fires in electronic components, were identified.

  • We have designed the power control unit which belongs to the power cabinet and controls the power supplied to Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM) as a digital system based on Digital Signal Processor(DSP). The power control unit dualized as the form of Master/Slave has had its increased reality. The Central Process Unit(CPU) board of a power control unit possesses two Digital Signal Processors(DSPs) of the control DSP for performing the tasks of power control and system monitoring and the communication of the Control DSP and the Communication DSP. To accomplish the functions requested in the power control unit effectively, we have installed Field Programmable Gate Arrays(FPGAS) on the CPU board and have FPGAs perform the memory mapping, the generation of each chip selection signal, the giving and receiving of the signals between the power controllers dualized, the fault detection and the generation of the firing signals.

  • In the case of power plant facilities, seismic stability of non-structural elements is important. In particular, Cabinet structures to which electrical equipment is attached, should have functional safety against earthquakes. Therefore, in this study the dynamic characteristics of non-structural elements inside existing power plant buildings were identified and the response level generated during dynamic behavior was analyzed. In addition, The steel plate dampers were adopted and adjusted to suit the size of the target equipment. In order to derive the optimal seismic reinforcement, the variables according to the attachment location were set and the responses were analyzed by the seismic movement input before and after reinforcement.
