전력사용 시설물의 Pattern Search 법을 이용한 최적 접지 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Grounding Design using Pattern Search Method for Electric Power Facilities)

  • Electric power facilities must have effective grounding to provide means to carry electric current into the earth under fault conditions and to prevent damage of equipment, Ignition, and electrocution of presonnel. nuts paper present an algorithm called the Pattern Search method for the optimal parameters selection of the grounding system. Computer simulation results used the CDEGS grounding analysis program verifying the effects of the grounding system design parameters obtained from this method show that the grounding systems are adequately designed.

  • This study has been done to make a practical suggestion in figuring out required size of electricity power facility in preparation for reunion of Korean Peninsula, estimated based on capacity increase and demand changes in the past. In making the suggestion, balanced development of South and North Korea Economy, recovery of existing power facilities, and construction of new power facilities were taken into consideration. As an alternatives, study result of power system interconnections in Korean Peninsula and/or in North-East Asia Region, PEACE Network, is suggested with a cooperation scheme of information and communications technology as an extra advantage. Concluded a cooperation of electric power system and information & communications technology in the peninsula is expected to be a great opportunity in developing electric power economy, maintaining clear environment, improving security of power supply in the region, and in reunion of Korean Peninsula and peace in the world.

Data Augmentation Techniques of Power Facilities for Improve Deep Learning Performance

  • Diagnostic models are required. Data augmentation is one of the best ways to improve deep learning performance. Traditional augmentation techniques that modify image brightness or spatial information are difficult to achieve great results. To overcome this, a generative adversarial network (GAN) technology that generates virtual data to increase deep learning performance has emerged. GAN can create realistic-looking fake images by competitive learning two networks, a generator that creates fakes and a discriminator that determines whether images are real or fake made by the generator. GAN is being used in computer vision, IT solutions, and medical imaging fields. It is essential to secure additional learning data to advance deep learning-based fault diagnosis solutions in the power industry where facilities are strictly maintained more than other industries. In this paper, we propose a method for generating power facility images using GAN and a strategy for improving performance when only used a small amount of data. Finally, we analyze the performance of the augmented image to see if it could be utilized for the deep learning-based diagnosis system or not.

  • This paper studies on the outdoor field test facilities which are established for weather-resist and mechanical-resist property teat of composite insulator. We have established measuring and data acquisition system for various test conditions -leakage current, temperature, humidity, wind direction, wind velocity and rainfall. The merry-go-round test and salt fog test have been studied in order to evaluate non tracking property of rubber material. Especially we have checked the relationship between hydrophobicity and outdoor exposure degree by contact angle measurement.

  • This paper resents a study on the electric facilities plan and application of low-voltage grid connection for a photovoltaic electric power station. The analysis for an installation cost is carried out and a new plan to solve the problem caused by a voltage drop in a low-voltage grid connection is devised. It is expected that the results can be usefully applied to spread the photovoltaic electric power station.

기후변화 영향을 고려한 유출변화에 따른 북한 수자원시설 발전량 평가 (An evaluation on power generation of water resources facilities in North Korea considering climate change)

  • 기후변화 영향으로 미래의 유출량은 변화할 것이다. 미래 유출량의 변화는 수자원시설에 유입량을 변화시켜 발전량에 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 기후변화로 인한 유출변화에 따른 북한 수자원시설 발전량을 평가하였다. 수자원시설에 대한 발전량은 물의 에너지에 의해 수차 발전기를 회전시켜 전력을 발생시킨다. 즉, 물의 위치에너지를 운동에너지로 바꾸고 운동에너지를 다시 전기에너지로 변화시키는 것이다. 본 연구의 평가 결과, 북한 수자원시설 발전량은 현재보다 2011년부터 2040년까지 감소하였고, 2041년부터 2100년까지는 증가하였다. 또한, 기존 북한 수자원시설의 발전량은 미래에 감소하거나 현재와 비슷하게 나타났다. 신규 북한 수자원시설의 발전량은 단기적으로는 감소하지만, 중장기 미래에는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 기존 북한 수자원시설은 기후변화 영향에 취약하고, 신규 북한 수자원시설은 기후변화 영향에 유리하게 입지하고 있는 것으로 판단된다.

  • This paper shows a reasonable design standard of electric equipment capacity for office buildings, that was made by the systematic and statistical way considering actual conditions, such as investigated electric equipment capacity, electric power consumption, etc for 121 buildings. The saving of electric equiment investment, the decrease of power loss, the improvement of facilities utilization and the decreasse of electric power rates can be contributed by the application of the design standard.

  • Recently, the public opinion is growing that the main cause of greenhouse gas, fine dust and nitrogen oxide, sulfuric acid emission is coal-fired power plant, and now the decommission or conversion to other clean fuel is being demanded. However, it is a huge national loss to decommission coal-fired power plant with remaining life, and also simple fuel converting to natural gas will lead to drastic rise on power generating cost. Therefore, this study aims to provide the analysis result about the reduction effect of $CO_2$, environment emission, and to influence to power plant performance and facilities when repowering with adding gas turbine is applied to domestic aged coal-fired power plant.

  • In this paper, we proposed the reasonable design standard and countermeasures of Demand Factor for large office buildings, that was made by the statistical way considering actual conditions, such as investicated electric equipment capacity, electric power consumption, etc. So as to save electric equipment investment, the decrease of power loss, the improvement of facilities utilization and the decrease of electric rates, we can be contributed by the application of the design standard. The result of saving effect is showed to confirm the practical use of the proposed Demand Factor, and also, it is believed that this proposed Demand Factor will be useful in electric equipment operation and planning.
