  • It is well known that switching overvoltages in the electric power system can damage electric power apparatus. To investigate switching overvoltages, electric power system has been modeled using mathematical equal ions. Using developed model, switching overvoltages in the transformer terminal have been computed and analysed.

  • Recently, electric heating using midnight power has brought a rapid increase. Therefore, the increase of midnight power use has much influenced on midnight load pattern and share more than 20% of total midnight electricity consumption. Hence, the distortion of load by using midnight power apparatus is severe and made the usage pattern ineffective electricity usage pattern. This paper analyze the load pattern of midnight power apparatus and policies that can effectively build midnight load. In addition, it provides policies on shifting midnight power apparatus load.

공기압실린더 구동장치를 이용한 6자유도 시뮬레이터의 자세제어에 관한 연구 (Study on the Pose Control of a 6 DOF Simulator with Pneumatic Cylinder Driving Apparatus)

  • In this study, 6-DOF simulator using pneumatic cylinder driving apparatus was manufactured because a pneumatic cylinder driving apparatus is superior to electric driving motor and hydraulic actuator, which used in traditional 6-DOF simulator, in competitive price and acceleration performance, and, 6-DOF motion can be realized at a low price in case that relatively low load is imposed on the simulator. The possible range of pose control of the simulator was investigated by inverse kinematics, and, it was controlled by a linear controller derived from linear model of the simulator. The Experimental results show that the simulator follows given coordinate well.

  • To reduce the maintenance expence, and the possibility of electric outage and accident, accurate measurement should be carried. But the classical method has some problems in the aspect of man power, reliability, and expence. In this paper, we propose a new type apparatus, which could detect the degree of contamination on insulators on outdoor insulation system, such as transmission and distribution line insulator and bushing. The new type apparatus consists of Pelltier module, electrode system, and measuring part. At first leakage current detecting method was considered, then with the fault(oxidation of electrode) of that method we should propose a another method. We carried various test to prove the possiblity and reliability of the propoused apparatus. And we get some useful result with laboratory test.

Development of An Apparatus to Control Odorous Stimuli for Olfactory Evoked Responses

  • We developed an apparatus for odorous stimuli control to record olfactory evoked potentials from human scalp. The characteristics of the apparatus were as follows. 1. Translating the subjects respiration into electric signals with a sensor attached to the nose. The period and timing of odorous stimuli could be adjusted, so that stimuli could be synchronous with respiration. 2. The respirations translated into electric signals were made constant in amplitude by using an auto gain control circuit. 3. The interstimulus interval of odorous could be arbitrarily selected once every 1 to 9 respirations so that adaptation could be prevented. We obtained olfactory - evoked potentials (OEPs) to odorous stimuli using this apparatus from the site of Cz, whose positive peak latencies were approximately $180{\pm}23ms$. Such response were not recorded if oxygen stimuli were used instead of odorous or with click sounds produced by the switching electromagnetic valve.
